Whenever you install new samsung usb drivers in windows
it's always best to uninstall all other samsung usb drivers first
then restart windows.

I installed your signature drivers, and uninstalled any older drivers. Restarted, re-installed again still getting the error.

Hmm.. strange.. Try Aerowinder's signature and run through all the steps again but on a different pc. If the drivers install properly and device is recognized then you'll know what your real problem is.
Be sure to try different usb ports if needed to recognize the phone.

All the aspects of the drivers work, except the ADb interface. I can flash from ODIN fine.

Trouble installing drivers for Windows 7 64bit
Hi, I have downloaded, installed, rebooted, etc about 6 times for different driver install files, including this newest one posted. I've tried both 32 and 64bit, and they cannot finish installing for some reason - saying it failed each time.
What is going to be a fail-proof way to get these installed on a Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit OS??
(also tried plugging in my phone, double-clicking the Unknown Device on the USB hub, and updating Device Driver manually from the dir SAMSUNG/USB Drivers)
THANKS!!
Nvm - got it after reboot and plugged device in again

Should be less than a minute!
Are you sure you followed the correct install instructions in 1st post?
Ignore the failed setup message at the end of installation and reboot afterwards.
Check installed programs in windows control panel. When you see the samsung drivers in there with correct version number, it's installed fine.

Problems connecting to PC on latest JB leak from Baadnewz

I am having issue connecting to PC (on XP here but also issues on Vista 64 at home). No matter what I try I can't access storage to copy to/from my PC to my phone. I understand that JB now uses MTP rather than USB Storage, but having spent about three hours now trying to find a solution I have to admit I am completely stumped
Having tried many options without success, and having installed and uninstalled HTC Sync at least six times I have started again from scratch reinstalling everything I could think of which might have a bearing. I have just reinstalled the full SDK, installed Windows Media Player 11 (for MTP), reinstalled .NET 4, installed latest version of HTC Sync, but still when I connect I get an error in device manager with Other Devices>Android Phone (also get the Hardware Wizard popup which always ends up saying not installed/could not locate software even if pointed directly at the Google USB driver folder in the SDK so it's obviously not this), and in HTC Sync it always shows no device connected. Fastboot and ADB both see it (devices). If I disable USB Debugging then it is recognised as an MTP device but then the Android Phone error kicks in and Sync doesn't see it.
This is my issue:

On the Android device in device manager right click then uninstall, tick delete drivers if the tick box is there (sometimes it isnt)
Keep doing that until it doesn't even say android device (it will keep reinstalling it) it should say unknown device or something similar. Then reinstall the htc driver software and try again
Windows buggers up like this sometimes, has several drivers for the same thing, AFAIK its a case of getting rid of all the "spares" and installing just the one driver
Hope this helps

If I remember rightly the phone does not need to be recognised. Go through the process of emergency firmware update and it will install everything based on your device and serial number. Try it.

You don't need a computer to get root, it's not a requirement.
You need to download an app from the play store called Mobile Odin, with that you
can odin flash the required file to get root as well as flash the required cwm zip file
which is required to get root in the galaxy S4.
Thank you.

Yes, i'm pretty sure you're gonna need a computer to root. I don't even think mobile odin is compatible with our phone yet. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
The other guy is high, you need to be rooted to use mobile Odin, there is no way of rooting this phone without a computer, sucks I know.

[Q] ATT 850 won't boot

I was trying to enable ART on my G3 with Xposed installed and followed some advice that said to replace app_process file in the system folder. Somehow I think the file was deleted altogether. Restarted and now my phone wont boot at all. Tried doing a factory reset and still not booting. I'm stuck at the LG splash screen and the LED is blinking. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Yeah sounds like you'll have to flash back to stock factory. Follow the instructions on this link. I had to when I deleted some lg apps trying to debloat and everything started crashing lol. Also last I heard xposed didn't work with art, this is directly from the developer of art. But it could of changed not sure.

Dumb question lol. You're in download mode right? You powered off then held volume up then plugged phone in?
And you put the dll file in the previous screen? Idk what else could be the issue if none of this is working. I'd try another USB port on the computer. If that's a no go try to get help from the original thread that has the files and stuff maybe the op there can offer assistance

Thanks for trying to help. After many hours of trying everything I just took it back to an AT&T store today and got it replaced.
You have to use the TOT restore the same way as the G2 had to. There is a guide in android development I believe.
