That's what you will have with Norton, false positives! It's clean.

Trouble installing drivers for Windows 7 64bit
Hi, I have downloaded, installed, rebooted, etc about 6 times for different driver install files, including this newest one posted. I've tried both 32 and 64bit, and they cannot finish installing for some reason - saying it failed each time.
What is going to be a fail-proof way to get these installed on a Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit OS??
(also tried plugging in my phone, double-clicking the Unknown Device on the USB hub, and updating Device Driver manually from the dir SAMSUNG/USB Drivers)
THANKS!!

Nvm - got it after reboot and plugged device in again

how long the installation process took for you guys? mine is like forever! 20 mins in and still not installed
x86

Both links just go to a black page for me.

Thanks for sharing it mate!

Should be less than a minute!
Are you sure you followed the correct install instructions in 1st post?
Ignore the failed setup message at the end of installation and reboot afterwards.
Check installed programs in windows control panel. When you see the samsung drivers in there with correct version number, it's installed fine.

download attachments!?

since some days i have an problem with downloading attachments from the forum (rootet buzz), same problem with qr-code. always get an download error
please help
I just joined xda, assuming that I'd be able to download attachments, since I haven't been able to (never tried before today, though). Unfortunately, logging in seems to have made no difference.
Clicking on a download link takes me to the main forum index. Right click/'save as' doesn't work either.

downloading with standart android browser (HTC buzz CM7)
first it works, since some days it didn't, dunno why
I have started getting several messages on a few of my threads over the past few days where individuals have been having difficulties downloading files attached to posts. I have verified that I cannot download attachments using the stock Android Browser on both my Asus Transformer and HTC Incredible 2.

It basically comes down to not being able to download via the stock Browser on an Android device. I have no problems using the XDA Premium app or using IE9 and Chrome on my PC. I know that I was able to download via the Android Browser in the past, so I do not understand why it no longer works.

I can see the logo. I've tried multiple ways of downloading on both my pc and my phone.
On my Toshiba laptop: Firefox 5 running on Windows Vista. I think I had an accelerator, but I disabled the add-on in question with no effect.
On my Droid X, I tried both Dolphin Browser HD and the XDA app.
All attempts redirected me to the main page except for with the app--that downloaded about 20% of the file then stopped.
It is possible that my craptastic satellite internet provider has an accelerator or something. I honestly don't know. I'll try over 3G next time I have a signal. (no cell service at my house :\ )
Thanks for all the information and please keep it coming. Be as detailed about your OS/Browser as possible.
We are looking into this and are working to resolve this.
Could you please all test again? We made some changes that should help.
Just tried with Firefox on Vista again and it worked! May I ask what you guys changed or would it go over my head?
tried today on my phone. now it works again. THX
I am still having difficulty with not only attachments but links as well. To remedy the situation I have tried the following
Nexus S (running kang based off latest nightly) Android stock browser :Not working
Opera Mini and Mobile :Not working
Sensation 4G (running Virtuous with Virtuous kernel v3 v4 v5 AND v6 I tried all of them. ..) Android Stock browser :Not working
Opera Mini and Mobile : Not Working
This is utilizing the XDA App.
Thank you for your help.

Problems connecting to PC on latest JB leak from Baadnewz

I am having issue connecting to PC (on XP here but also issues on Vista 64 at home). No matter what I try I can't access storage to copy to/from my PC to my phone. I understand that JB now uses MTP rather than USB Storage, but having spent about three hours now trying to find a solution I have to admit I am completely stumped
Having tried many options without success, and having installed and uninstalled HTC Sync at least six times I have started again from scratch reinstalling everything I could think of which might have a bearing. I have just reinstalled the full SDK, installed Windows Media Player 11 (for MTP), reinstalled .NET 4, installed latest version of HTC Sync, but still when I connect I get an error in device manager with Other Devices>Android Phone (also get the Hardware Wizard popup which always ends up saying not installed/could not locate software even if pointed directly at the Google USB driver folder in the SDK so it's obviously not this), and in HTC Sync it always shows no device connected. Fastboot and ADB both see it (devices). If I disable USB Debugging then it is recognised as an MTP device but then the Android Phone error kicks in and Sync doesn't see it.
This is my issue:

On the Android device in device manager right click then uninstall, tick delete drivers if the tick box is there (sometimes it isnt)
Keep doing that until it doesn't even say android device (it will keep reinstalling it) it should say unknown device or something similar. Then reinstall the htc driver software and try again
Windows buggers up like this sometimes, has several drivers for the same thing, AFAIK its a case of getting rid of all the "spares" and installing just the one driver
Hope this helps

Whenever you install new samsung usb drivers in windows
it's always best to uninstall all other samsung usb drivers first
then restart windows.

Hmm.. strange.. Try Aerowinder's signature and run through all the steps again but on a different pc. If the drivers install properly and device is recognized then you'll know what your real problem is.
Be sure to try different usb ports if needed to recognize the phone.

Cant install OnePlus USB Driver

Hey, i'll get my OP3 in a few days and so i already started preparing everything to get started with flashing FreedomOS as soon as its there.
But even the first step, installing the USB Drivers, seems to be a problem (see picture).

i ran the setup as admin und tried to download it from different sources but every time the same result.
does the OnePlus3 needs to be connected to the PC in order to install the drivers? if not, i'd like to get rid of this problem before my OnePlus arrives.
i am running Win10 x64 btw.
Boot the system into this mode "DISABLE DRIVER SIGNATURE ENFORCEMENT" then install the drivers and reboot the system. Restart the system. If you do not know how to get into this mode then, Google it, it is just like getting into safe mode.
My Windows security knowledge is outdated but despite being logged in with administrator rights you may still need to run the program using the right click "Run as administrator". To test this try copying any file into a directory in C:\Program Files (x86) - I would expect you will get a prompt requesting permission. I think that when you log in with admin rights you get basic user rights + the ability to elevate any command to admin rights.

ah yea, sorry. even your signature says it and i failed.
You should always offer thanks when someone helps you, it's the polite thing to do. Then again it should never be asked for, even less polite. I hate that the forum moved to this mechanic because it fosters "winning the internet" and many other behaviors that serve no master. I guess it all shows I'm too old...
