Normally no...if the phone is not used at all and screen off. Of course that also depends on how many widgets you have and how often you get updates among a whole slew of other things (such as wifi, bt, gps always on, custom roms, signal strength, etc). I would recommend Better Battery Stats as it can help you pinpoint what is draining your battery the most and if there are any wakelock issues.

That msm-otg looks like your main issue. Other Samsung devices have had the same issue. I believe there is a way to disable it.

I know very little about it as this is my first ever samsung device. A quick google search landed me a ton of info so that is the way to go currently. Perhaps someone else here in the forum can point you into a more specific direction. At least with the screenshots loaded you give everyone here a chance to pinpoint the issues and assist. Wish I could be of more assistance but I have never encountered or read much on this issue.

FC05 Bugs

hey guys just wanted to share what I found:
-Clicking the graph in battery results in FC
-Some apps seem to be laggier and tend to hang frozen and then resume (happens sometimes)
Those are the only bugs I've noticed other than one from gingerbread which is the screen lock delay caused by an external sd card or something. I really thought they'd fix that by now. But we are close for a final release cause not so many bugs!

Is anyone else experiencing heavy fluctuations in reported signal strength? My phone goes from reporting four bars to zero seemingly randomly. Data speeds aren't as bad as I would expect with zero bars, so I'm assuming that it's just an error with strength reporting.

I am going to bounce around NYC tomorrow on FC05 and see how it does with signal strength. I know that the signal bars are almost never right on my NS4G since the 1st ICS leak came out. I will occasionally show no bars but everything functions fine...we'll see if the same is true on FC05 tomorrow

(Q)Cell Standby battery

So im getting ready to send my phone In to samsung to fix and I flashed back entirely to stock and I am not rooted. Since I been on custom roms I havent noticed the cell stand by mis reading in the battery stats. My question is does that really have an affect on battery life is the cell standby fix just just for it to appear correct. I ask because im going to stay unrooted for a few days and im wondering if the bug will have an effect on my battery. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Purely cosmetic. It wont give you an accurate reading is all. Wont affect how much battery it needs.

Edit. I think I totally misread, no no effect, flash that when you're back.
Thanks for the responses, really appreciate it. I figured it was cosmetic but just wanted to make sure. Thanks

Yes, that is a known issue. I get it as well. This question was answered (asked by me) on PhantomPhreak's CM10 forum (page 460). But yes, Chris is aware of this.
anyone try notasbroken?
10/17 is a no go as of right now guess we wait for 10/18
Then again no one said how they flashed it..maybe a fresh flash won't let it boot but a dirty flash will?? Maybe something that's in an older build will let it boot..just food for thought.
Random note in aosp ROMs my downloads r slow compared to touchwiz and I read around other people experience this also..and I can confirm cm7 doesn't have this problem..only cm9 and cm10

Try pulling the battery yet and seeing if it spins on a flat surface yet?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
I think there should be a stickied thread where people can see why phones shut off! 90% of the times it is cause of a bad battery. Everyday 2 3 new threads are created and everyone has to reply the same tiing over and over again.

Who else is experiencing the msm_hsic_host wakelock in large quantities?

So this is a pretty big issue with the Nexus 4 crowed, as well as the Droid DNA. The common thing... the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.
Here is a link to a large thread over in the N4 section with those experiencing the issues
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1999368
Supposedly, there is a fix out, but we dont have access to it yet.
To observe your wakelocks, you can go here and download BetterBatteryStats, links to the APKs are in the 2nd post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
The wakelock occurs the most on 3G/4G data. From what I understand, its any time the phone uses the radio to send/receive data. Generally, BBS reports anywhere between 10-30% on my phone depending on how much time I spend off WIFI.
Yeah I noticed the same thing but basically only found things on the n4 forums like you did. Not sure there is much more info.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I have those as well bet if those wakelocks were fixed we would have much better battery life.
I used these tweaks and they seem to help not sure if it's placebo or what but anyway try adding this to your build prop:
#Power Saving Tweaks
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=180
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0

i highly recommend using jokersax's kernel in the development section of this forum. his kernel has pretty much fixed the issue, u usually get maybe an hour if even of the wakelock after having the phone on for 9+
Damn, I really love the Bricked kernel. It's soo smooth and the sweep2wake feature is SO damn awesome.
Guess I'll just have to charge my phone a bit extra for a while, until Google gets a fix in place. I see this happening on my Nexus 10 too. But that has such a big battery that it doesn't really matter.
i dont think we can use n4 kernels unless they are ported over to our device
