Best buy.
Simply because they have the same price as anywhere else, but the black tie protection is the best.
No need to have a cover on your phone even. The insurance is deductible free. Its like having an invincible phone. Smash it and go get a new one, simple as that.
Not sure if they still do it but they also offer like a buy back program or something too.
Please post in other device thread listed in stickies

I have an upgrade next month and I want my wife and I to both upgrade to the nexus. But my wife does not want to spend over $200 for both. Amazon has it for $150. I was wondering of people are still willing to spend $100 on the epic. It's in pretty good condition with some minor cosmetic damage in the bottom of the phone.

If it is minor damage I might consider it.

As much as someone is willing to pay for it but honestly Sprint in Good Condition will only give you about probably 45 to 60$. And its going for 99.99$ w/ 2 Yr Contract as well.
But as a phone i'd check craigslist around you and see because i have seen people sell it for 150+ and some below that so see whats around you and how much and try their and if nothing works try to sell it here.
Off contract from sprint its around 150 or so... i think. You could put it up for around 100-125.

If you're actually interested in selling this for $100, PM me with pics. My mom needs to replace her LG Rumor Touch with something that isn't an enormous POS.
I checked with sprint about a month ago and I think they were going to offer me $25 for the phone. You could provably do better on eBay.

I got mine on eBay for $71. But that's with a bad esn. Then flashed (converted) it to boost.
Now its worth millions!!
The epic is priceless. Keep it as a MP3/Secondary Gaming Device. Just my opinion.

Ebay. Craigslist is best though, because on Ebay you have to pay a listing fee and a percentage of the cost of the final sale.
Whats the going rate on craigslist for the E4GT

Depends on your area. Some people want anywhere from $250-$400 here, you have to follow the posts and price it accordingly.

Craigslist is your best bet, and how much is totally dependent on accessories and condition.
Its the new white version in very good condition. not perfect but damn near. I got it about a month ago.
My screen cracked today after it dropped from my pants. I got it around 2 months ago, so does it still have warranty? I have the premium protection handset bundle on T-Mobile, so what would I do to get a new phone? And my phone is rooted...does that change anything?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
i would run triangle away first, then i would unroot my phone and finally i would reinstall tmobile's 4.0.4 firmware using odin
Would I get a new phone for free or no? And where can I get this app? Thank you so much guys.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
If you have the Premium Handset Protection you would have to use it and pay the $130 deductible. Warranty is for problems not inflicted by you. Like if GPS stops working for no reason.
So would I get a new one in the store? Or would I have too ship it. And is it mandatory too triangle away and unroot? I'm running cm10 if it helps.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Although its unlikely they will care if its rooted/rommed, I would bring it back to stock as a small insurance against them being nasty about it. Go to www.phoneclaim.com/t-mobile or call 1-866-268-7221 to make the claim with Asurion, the insurance company.
Just bring it in to a T-MO store and ask for a replacement. First call them over the phone and tell them that your screen is cracked. They will set you up with a replacement.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
My premium protection package is through Asurion - the contracted company T-Mobile uses (at least I think it still is). They don't care if you're rooted. They make darn sure it's not a warranty-able software thing.
After I had paid for a 21 months of coverage, they still wanted me to put $130(us) into buying a replacement Vibrant... last May. I I found a few on Ebay for about $140. There's no harm, OK, maybe 20 minutes, in filing a claim to find out what they'll do. They won't send you anything until they receive the broken phone. I have a feeling they won't just send you a free, brand new replacement for nothing.
You may want to compare your "deductible" to what it might cost to get a new digitizer (and screen) to either put in yourself, or to have someone do it for you. I haven't tried anyone else, but PPCTechs has been fine for me, though they don't do everything.
I plan on dropping my coverage about a year into it. I'm also looking into a smaller deductible on my homeowners' insurance.
(I might also recommend putting a rubber bumper on it next time. Aluminum and hard plastic are great, but nothing takes a hit like a substance that bounces.)
What do you mean "still" ? I've paid my auto insurance long enough to buy my car twice and I "still" have to pay a deductible if I wreck. That's how insurance works, fun right?
A lot of these questions need to be answered by tmo. Did you try them before posting? You're going to have to go through the process eventually.
Not yet....I'm gonna check tommorow....so basically I gotta pay $130....that sucks...because I had 70 left over and was about to purchase a nexus 7....in your guys opinion, should I purchase the nexus 7 now and get a new gs3 next month? Everything works quite fine, there's just a crack in the screen.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I bought a N7 2 weeks ago. I liked it but most of them have there glass lifting on the left side. Mine did and so did the replacement I got. So I brought it back. If you do get one look for one with a serial number that starts with C9O. C8O and under are more prone to this.
With the premium protection package they will replace it in-store with a brand new unit. Be sure to run Triangle Away and Odin the phone back to stock before you bring it in.
So it is free and I don't have to pay a deductible?

I think several people have told you that you will have to pay a deductable. It will be $130 even with premium handset protection. Hopefully that makes it clear to you.
Thank you, everyone. So I'll just triangle away, unroot, and than revert to stock 4.0.4? Does that sound about right?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Triangle away, factory reset, odin back to stock, which will remove root anyways.
Yes revert to stock before doing anything in terms of replacing it, Then i would call a t-mobile store first and see if they will replace it in store for the deductible, With Premium handset protection some stores will replace it right away others will tell you to file a claim and mail it in, it all depends on the store. No matter how you replace it you will be subject to the 130 deductible and a 5 processing fee on your bill. If you file a claim through asurion and do so before 8:30pm eastern they will ship it that day and its usually a one day ship. Also you only get two claims within a 12 month period. So be sure to get a good case moving forward.
Best of luck.

No, you have to pay the deductible. That's how insurance works.
I broke two screen in less than 48 hours .. on S3 #3 now. I was using a crappy D30 case, and I've since upgraded to a Ballistic SG MAXX. We'll see how long this one survives.

I am looking to buy a brand new T-mobile version S3 (T999). Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to get it?
T-Mobile has it for 549$ on their site off contract.
Ebay

Anywhere else?
Top rated sellers on eBay sell for around the same price, and I have had bad experiences with standard sellers in the past so I want to avoid that.
How much are you willing to spend?
I am hoping for something around the 450 range.
I know it might be difficult and I might have to spend more but I want to cover all possible avenues first.

Amazon has the LGOG for $99.99 to upgrade. My local Sprint store told me they wouldnt consider price matching until the end of the Month.
Amazon is on a 1-2wk backorder, and I would prefer not to wait. Do I have any other options?
Best buy might still have it for 99

Best Buy's website is listing at at $199.99 again.
Ah. Then I'd order from Sprint and try the price match

Ive heard that, I might stop by the local BB tonight.
Best Buy, as far as I know, does not Price Match to Amazon. I know for a fact Fry's does, but then again, I font believe they have subsidized carriers/pricing.

Yeah that's what they told me when I got mine, they don't pricematch amazon wireless. The lgog is available for 120$ from wireflyfriends.com, but idk if their standard shipping is any faster.
When i purchased my LGOG the Best buy mobile employee told me that they do price match Amazon
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 2
Yep, they were able to price match. Phone us running some OTA update right now.
It was pretty painless, I asked, they said yes. No pushback at all.
I'm thinking of pulling the trigger but I really think as good of phone as the LG looks, i think it won't be long before its a free phone.

Best Buy's policy is not to price match Amazon Wireless but it doesn't hurt to ask. I did and they went ahead and price matched. I simply told them I was interested in upgrading, I let him check my information and confirm my eligibility, told him which phone I was interested in, acted like I was ready to pull the trigger, but then asked him what the price was (even though I already knew). He pulled up $199.99 and I said oh, well Amazon has it for $99 and if you can price match, I will buy from you even though I will still have to pay tax. He then pulls up the Amazon price using the browser built into the register computer to check. The browser is so basic that it doesn't show any graphics, just text, and so when he pulls it up, the Amazon "out of stock" graphic fails to show (if it did, I'm pretty sure that would have ended my chances right there). He then says it is their policy not to price match Amazon but that he could ask his manager "just this once" (right!). Manager gave approval to price match. I had also signed up for a promotion BB was running this Spring/Summer where they will give you an instant $50 gift card if you renew your contract by the end of the year and the gift card can be used immediately towards the purchase of the phone. So I ended up getting the LGOG for $50 + tax!
Go into Best Buy see if the sticker still says 99.99 if it does they have to match it, it still showed 199 for me and I got it for 99.99

Do you think the Geek squad insurance is a better value than Sprint's standard TEP? I have 30 days to go back and switch, the no deductible thing is tempting.
