Is Amazon Wireless the cheapest right now? - Sprint LG Optimus G

Amazon has the LGOG for $99.99 to upgrade. My local Sprint store told me they wouldnt consider price matching until the end of the Month.
Amazon is on a 1-2wk backorder, and I would prefer not to wait. Do I have any other options?

Best buy might still have it for 99

Best Buy's website is listing at at $199.99 again.

Ah. Then I'd order from Sprint and try the price match

Ive heard that, I might stop by the local BB tonight.

Best Buy, as far as I know, does not Price Match to Amazon. I know for a fact Fry's does, but then again, I font believe they have subsidized carriers/pricing.

Yeah that's what they told me when I got mine, they don't pricematch amazon wireless. The lgog is available for 120$ from wireflyfriends.com, but idk if their standard shipping is any faster.

When i purchased my LGOG the Best buy mobile employee told me that they do price match Amazon
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 2

Yep, they were able to price match. Phone us running some OTA update right now.
It was pretty painless, I asked, they said yes. No pushback at all.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger but I really think as good of phone as the LG looks, i think it won't be long before its a free phone.

Best Buy's policy is not to price match Amazon Wireless but it doesn't hurt to ask. I did and they went ahead and price matched. I simply told them I was interested in upgrading, I let him check my information and confirm my eligibility, told him which phone I was interested in, acted like I was ready to pull the trigger, but then asked him what the price was (even though I already knew). He pulled up $199.99 and I said oh, well Amazon has it for $99 and if you can price match, I will buy from you even though I will still have to pay tax. He then pulls up the Amazon price using the browser built into the register computer to check. The browser is so basic that it doesn't show any graphics, just text, and so when he pulls it up, the Amazon "out of stock" graphic fails to show (if it did, I'm pretty sure that would have ended my chances right there). He then says it is their policy not to price match Amazon but that he could ask his manager "just this once" (right!). Manager gave approval to price match. I had also signed up for a promotion BB was running this Spring/Summer where they will give you an instant $50 gift card if you renew your contract by the end of the year and the gift card can be used immediately towards the purchase of the phone. So I ended up getting the LGOG for $50 + tax!

Go into Best Buy see if the sticker still says 99.99 if it does they have to match it, it still showed 199 for me and I got it for 99.99

Do you think the Geek squad insurance is a better value than Sprint's standard TEP? I have 30 days to go back and switch, the no deductible thing is tempting.

Price drop!

'allo fellow xda heads. i'm not sure of the specifics on it but at the mall they are selling this phone for a mere 149.99 just thought id let you guys know
meh.
I took the day off of work. That day would have been overtime. Plus I put $50 on a giftcard at sprint just in case my BestBuy connection didn't pan out.
All-in-all it cost me $350 or so for a $700 phone that I paid (-$150) for at BestBuy.
$50 really doesn't phase me.
i bought at retail, I wonder did the retail price drop to 449
I got mine via wirefly. Was on sale for $149, and used Bank of America's Add It Up rewards program to get another $50 off. $99 for this phone, I can live with
At letstalk you could have this phone for as low as 79.99
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
I got mine preordered at wirefly on sept. 7th for 124.99 with overnight shipping. Walmart selling them for 99.99 with new contracts. BOA discounts at wirefly get them for under a hundred. Because Sprint allowed this phone to go into a third party retailers frenzy with now premier or general preorders, we've seen intense pricing competition weeks before it's official release, yet alone now.
Sams club it was $193 out the door including CA sales tax. They found a loophole so they didnt charge tax on the whole phone price, just the subsidized price.

Nope, they don't carry it for Sprint. Apparently only Verizon and AT&T. Seems Best Buy and Sprint are the only places that carry it for now. Sucks. Guess I'll have to keep checking Swappa and Ebay.

Most online places won't charge state tax if they don't have a retail presence in your state. Plus Sprint is forced to charge both a state and federal tax on the sale of their phones which ended up being about 15%. I'd rather wait and find it somewhere else.

This is directly from Bestbuy's website:
Best Buy will match the price if you find a lower price on an identical available product at a local retail competitor's store, a local Best Buy retail store or BestBuy.com. Simply let us know when you are making your purchase or during the return and exchange period.
I just got my credit!!! Woot! A total of $76.39 after taxes, direct from AT&T. I had to provide the Best Buy link for proof, but I got the confirmation text and the chat transcript, should anyone else need to know exactly what to say. (I work Level 2 Tech Support, so I'm well versed in these things.)

I dont expect the GN2 to be $0.01 but where does it say this phone will be price locked ? Anybody have any proof ? I cant imagine it staying at $299 for too long on Amazon no matter what during this holiday season. Bought 1 for $79 the week of thanksgiving and then the week after all the phones went for $0.01 until Dec 19th or 25th whereabouts. This high price is killing me. Trying to hold off...

Best evidence I know of is the arbitrary upgrade pricing release date of 1/1/2013 long after seasonal sales. $299 is only for new contracts as of now.

Well I went to sprint and the phone is actually 700 because of an off contract purchase fee. I left because that's bull. So their actual price is a lie. So after tax its 740. So I will find one on Craigslist hopefully sooner than later. The only plus is no activation fee on off contract phones

This is the dead best. Throw in their warranty and you never have to worry about bricking it either..
But what do you mean that you got a $100 "refund?" I got mine for 175... how do I get a refund also...
Actually, the absolute best deal if you don't care about the warranty is Walmart online. I don't know if they are still offering it, but they had it for $250 online with a $100 dollar walmart gift card. That is the cheapest that I gave seen it. Hands down.
So 175 or 150.

Another data point: I bought mine from Best Buy about 2.5 weeks ago for $240 (2 yr contract). Went in yesterday and they credited me the difference to match Amazon's $199.
I am sure a lot of people know this and have read the terms and conditions during checkout...watch out for the ETF fees for both the distributor and carrier...I believe Amazon Wireless charges $200 on top of ATT $325 and Walmart Wireless charges $400 ETF on top of ATT $325 ETF. If one calculates out the discounted price with the double wammy ETFs...the total cost to buy out the Note II comes out to be a little more than purchasing from ATT or Negri.
I think Negri Electronics has the best deal right now...but they are still out of stock. Most 3rd party distributors have a delay in shipping the i317 right now.
Assuming you guys dont know how to read because OP is looking for Note 2 WITHOUT CONTRACT.
http://negrielectronics.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=galaxy+note+2#q=galaxy+note+2&gan_data=true
Looking for Rogers version. Looks like they changed it from att to 317m unlocked version. Which gets 3g/4g/LTE on ATT.
