Ebay. Craigslist is best though, because on Ebay you have to pay a listing fee and a percentage of the cost of the final sale.

Depends on your area. Some people want anywhere from $250-$400 here, you have to follow the posts and price it accordingly.

Craigslist is your best bet, and how much is totally dependent on accessories and condition.
Its the new white version in very good condition. not perfect but damn near. I got it about a month ago.

Of course it's with a contract. Do you seriously think a company would sell a $600 for $180 without an assurance that they would get their money back? Don't want a contract? Go to T-Mobile and get one at full retail.

Going to drop tmo as my company is paying for my new phone. what is good going price for the S3?
What will it come with?
Box & Accessories?
Mint Condition?
Color?
Go to ebay and plug in the model number, hit completed auctions, and see what they are actually selling for.

If you sell it to someone on Craigslist be sure to have them meet you in a corporate T-Mobile store to do the transaction, less chance of getting robbed and you can have it transferred to their account so they don't have to worry about being scammed.
Ill give you $200 final offer jk
Good luck with the sale!

Here in Houston, they sell for $350-400 on average. People will post higher expecting (and knowing) they'll be lowballed.

Here in Las Vegas they are going for $300-350 on craigslist, and you run a very high risk of getting robbed/scammed

Actually this is more realistic. For 550 you can get a brand new sgs3 off T-Mobile website off contract. When I got my s2 off Craigslist I paid 270 and it was in perfect condition. So I'd say 350 but negotiable.

Called AT&T, told them I had read about people recently getting the S3 from them for $99 but they were at $199. Would they offer any deals/price matching. Said she could not but gave me a $70 credit towards my "purchase", which actually came off of last months bill. Went to Sam's and bought the phone for $148, 6% sales tax brought me to ~$157. All said and done, this made my purchase, on contract, be $87.
Off contract - would try Ebay, craigslist, or swappa.
off contract price new is lowest at AT&T $549 plus tax.
Used on craigs list will be around $400

Not true, I bought my brand new white GS3 a couple of months ago from ebay for $475 with $10 shipping. You just have to keep an eye out on "Buy it now" newly listed items. I find that people that list with buy it now tend to just want to get quick cash, and don't care about getting top dollar. Always make sure you check out their feedback and always deal through PayPal.
Some list the buy it now listings with best offer options for lower prices too. Just stay away from the auctions.

I'm in a really tight spot, my sister pre-order the iphone 5 at radio shack and they made her purchase a gift card for $50, to buy the iphone 5 when its in store. Now I'm thinking of her getting the SIII. However, I don't want to her to pay for $200 for an SIII when I know radio shack had it for $100 not too long ago. Do you think I should just make her buy the iphone 5?
Amazon wireless for the contract one. And swappa for the off contract one.

I have not personally sold mine, however I have seen people getting up to $500 for it if it's in mint condition
However you can definitely get $400 for it easily, and at $350 it will move in 24 hours or less I'd bet.
Check craigs list and ebay to see what others are selling for.

Seems like everybody want to sell their s3 and get note 2. On ny craiglist there are too many offer to sell or trade.
So I am not even keeping that option.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
I'm also in NY and for me to move this quickly in mint condition it would take me selling for $350 or less with all my accessories Nd that's not happening. I'll keep my gs3 as powerful as the note 2 is it doesn't justify the money I have to spend getting it over the s3. Sadly neither does the n4.
I wonder what the next step for android will be. The sgs3 was a nice "jump" and the note 2 is a little move forward but I'm looking for a leap before I move anything.

Wife and I might be leaving Sprint due to having bad service at home and work, but not in between. How annoying is that if we're roaming and can't use our data? I got a call from Sprint offering a free out on both lines with no ETF due to data roaming that's occuring while I work. We have an Airave here that we got for free (and have no problem sending back to Sprint).
Anyway, onto the question. What price should we be looking at to sell our phones? Both are in great condition -- hers is white, and mine is black. Hers has an Otterbox Defender on it and mine has a Commuter.
I was thinking about $250 a piece for a total of $500 to help pay for our new phones on another carrier.
Thoughts and comments are appreciated! Thanks
I think your price is too high. $200 if you are lucky but $150-175 per phone is more realistic. This phone has been out over a year and used cases have very little value.

150-160 if you want to sell it real quick. 170-185 is where I personally would look for if I'm looking for a used GS2. $200 and above is really stretching it.
I sold mine for $300 on dec 1 with 2 batteries and 3 cases. I put an ad on craigslist nov 31 and by 9am dec 1 I had 3 ppl message me 2 offered 250 and one offered the asking price. It was gone by 10am and I was at sprint picking up my note2

I would've said $250 each at the minimum. Especially if they are in almost new condition since you've had cases on them.
Jist because this phone is a little over a year old it is still a great phone. If they are being sold now at $99 with a 2 year contract, $250 off contract for a like new with accessories is a great deal.
