I flashed beans new build 14 ROM, clean flash, wiped cache, factory reset blah blah blah....Every time I send an mms, the person receiving it says it was coming from a different number than mine. I checked "my phone number" under status and it's showing the phone number to my second line I added but never use. I have searched all over and can find no help. What can I do? I have re-flashed, wiped and re-flashed several times. Anyone ran in to this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I've never run into that before. I would call sprint and see if they can fix it. It's probably a glitch on their end.

Never heard of this. But i suspect you had to go throug hands free activation again? If so your second line somehow got activated instead of your main line. One way to check ia to sign into sprint online and see which number ia activated there.
I would suggest going back to unrooted stock and see what happens, if it still shows the wrong number call or go see sprint.

Be sure your on a touch wiz ROM and do hands free activation. To do that simply dial ##72786# and wait for your phone to reboot. Upon boot unlock your screen and DONT touch your phone it will do an activation and do your latest prl and profile and your phone will reboot again. Let it finish booting and unlock your phone again and wait for a screen to say activation has been successfull and that should fix it.

ive been using cm7 since it came out. works great, no problems. havent flashed anything new or made any changes to my phone is the past few weeks. i wake up this morning and can't send texts or make calls. i thought maybe i needed to update my profile. i wiped my phone and flashed a sense rom and my profile wouldn't update. data wont connect either. so i tried to reset it so it do the hands free activation again, and now its totally ****ed. cant make or recieve calls or anything. it erased my number and stuff from the epst menu.
does anyone know how to fix this without me having to take it back to sprint?
You did a full reset and wipe? Maybe you can unroot it and go back to the stock rom or flash a backup. But if you go to sprint they may not help you because your phone is rooted. Well good luck

I'm totally baffled as to what I could have done wrong. First of all I have 2 evo's, my wifes and mine. We were running cyanogen nightlies and found out about all the radio updates. I downloaded the zip file to flash them all and everything was ok on reboot. Another post had also said to flash back to a sense based rom and update the PRL and Profile so I flashed sense and both phones were saying "error code 1012" Looking deeper there were posts saying to ##786# and clear the information, reboot to recovery and flash, dalvik, cache, and factory reset. I did this and that's when we lost all connection to sprints network. Found out that wiped our phone # from MDN and MSID so I changed those back to our phone # and rebooted, still nothing. Unrooted both phones completely and still no go. However they would download the newest OTA if I was connected to wifi. Downloaded that and installed with no problem and now my phone works. Downloaded the prl profile. My wifes however... (she isn't to happy) It won't connect to the network and anytime she dials out the account is not activated. Sorry for such a long drawn out post but I wanted to make sure I got all the information that is needed. If anybody can help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it.
I flashed a custom ROM and after deciding I didn't like it I restored a factory stock ROM and every since all hell broke loose.
At first I had no connection of any kind whatsoever no matter what ROM or modem I flashed.
Then I dialed ##72786# and it seemed to have restored all connections.
Went to bed.
Woke up with only 3g working and nothing else. No calls and no sms.
Flashed a bunch of ROMS again including factory stock and no dice.
Spent 3 hours with Sprint Customer Service and they could not figure out why my phone cannot make calls or send sms.
When making calls I would get "error 16" and the "your account could not be validated"
Please help! I am ready to sell this phone because I don't know what else to do.
Try updating profile and prl. Also give odining a new modem Lg2 is the latest one.
When you did a factory reset, did you clear /efs?

tried both....didn't work
i flashed LG2 modem via CWM....not sure if it makes a difference
RTN reset, Dial ##786# or *#*#786#*#* put in your MSL or SPC code and do the reset you may have to push the menu button to see the reset option. This will wipe/reset every thing back to factory

Ok, so I updated my s3 to 4.1.1 but after a week of using the update, I still hadn't seen any sign of the expandable notification options. So I decided to re-install the update by flashing via Odin, which I did. After the flash, the expandable notifications still weren't available, so I instead flashed the stock firmware, hoping to update from stock and see if the problem was fixed. Unfortunately when I rebooted after the stock install, my phone would no longer connect to data, or even to the network period. I can't text, make calls, or connect to data. It shows full bars but when I try to do anything it tells me the network is unavailable.
I tried a lot of options for fixing it:
-I checked all my network settings. Data was on, I switched into and out of airplane mode, no luck.
-I tried to set my network operator by manually selecting tmobile. No luck.
-I tried re-entering T-Mobile's APN settings. No luck.
-I tried to restore from a backup I made of my 4.1.1 when it was first updated. No luck.
-I tried flashing multiple versions of stock firmware, as well as cm10. No luck.
-I checked my IMEI, it's correct.
-I flashed a few different modems. No luck.
I've run out of ideas and I can't find any other ideas in the forums. The closest I have come to getting a fix was during one instance when I was flashing stock again, I cleared my cache, dalvik cache, and did a factory reset as well as formatting my internal storage. When it did the first boot it had service for about thirty seconds. I was able to receive a few waiting text messages, and I had edge data for the remainder of the 30 second or so period. Then I lost data again. Every time I boot a notification ticks on my status bar that says "Restricted Access Changed" and before I can pull down and tap it, the notification is gone. When I try to set a Network Operator, it says something along the lines of "Unable to connect, not registered on the network." I'm stumped.
Has anybody else had this problem, and does anybody know how to fix it?
Just a guess, but perhaps T-Mobile has blocked your IMEI? Did you buy the phone off of someone or straight from T-Mobile?
Did you ever report it lost or stolen?
Only thing I can think of given your scenario.

I bought it through Costco as an authorized upgrade offer by T-Mobile. I can't imagine any reason why my IMEI would be blocked. I went to the t-mobile store yesterday and they told me that it should be working and that I should take it back to Costco and see if they can do anything for me in terms of replacement.
Problem Solved!
Apparently it was because when I got my phone they didn't give me the upgraded sim, they just cut my current one to fit the microsim slot. Go figure. This could have been solved by tmobile last night if the guy hadn't refused to help me just because I had rom manager installed on my phone. Just because I have a root program installed on my phone doesn't mean my phone got messed up playing around with root. Anyways, i updated my sim card through tmobile's phone service and I'm a happy camper now!
