wow, maybe you should check what apps and services are running in the background and uninstall/freeze useless crap.
Use betterbatterystats to see what is causing the wakelocks and drain.
Make sure gps/nfc/autosync are turned off.
If you don't know how to do that, why in the world did you bought a smartphone?

I do a lot of thing: like root, using greenify, turn off all connection, sync.... but it seems not to be improved!
My battery only has 8-9 cycles of charging! Is it OK when the cycles of charge more than 12 times!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????

then i guess you just have to turn off the phone and use a nokia 1100 instead.
or go to warranty with it.
but don't ask this type of questions.everybody uses the phone differently.
so,if something does good to my phone,it may do bad to yours.

lg stock browser on 4.1.2 is not chrome, bro! it's like the one in 4.0 but it's maybe better!

Got the same probleme, my phone database wakes my phone out of deep sleep 6000 times in 5 hours.
I had deactivated fast dormancy. Then it was by 6 times in a few hours.

eBay app causing battery drain

Since updating the eBay app yesterday, I'm experiencing major battery drain. Its my main kernel wakelock on BetterBatteryStats.
Anyone know how I can fix this as I use the app quite often and don't want to delete it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
nope..i had the app a year ago..i deleted it solely because of the battery drain..sucks to hear that after all this time it hasnt improved
I have to confirm that the ebay app cause massive wakelocks that drain the battery very fast.
I think i will uninstall it until they resolve.

Famous developers that working in famous apps don't think to end user, their think only at their money, that's why little app developed by 1 devs sometimes are better than official app, this "big" developers think your phone is their, adding stupid things only for make "new feature list" ( facebook story with their "own" camera apps ), they don't think at battery or something that, because their don't use this.
Serious developer don't use at 4 wakelocks at minute for utility App
Serious developer don't use HTML5 instead java ( Facebook story )
Serious developer use app before release.
Uninstall it and use ebay from PC, More secure and more fast.

i had the same problem, just installed older version and it's back to normal, new version use new way to display notifications
Battery drain
I'm having the same experience with the app on my HTC One X+, if it makes you feel any better. I disabled all notification alterts and it seems a little better but I'm considering downgrading the app version instead if that doesn't work.
im using it on a SE arc S, I have to say iv noticed battery life has been worse since i installed it, its a shame because its actually a great functioning wee app, if only it would sleep more efficiently
just stopping by to report that the ebay app killed my battery yesterday within 20 minutes... 30% down..
If you use this app often uninstalling it is not an option of course. what you can do if you are on a rooted device is install Titanium Backup and freeze the app when your not using it. When you want to use the app simply unfreeze it and do your business. That will keep the app from killing you battery when it is not being used.
Use greenify, problem solved!

[Q] Battery Life Problem

Anyway, it looks like you have an app which is keeping your phone awake a lot. That's the reason for the quick drain. If you go to Settings>Power>Battery use you'll see that your 'Awake' bar is full most of the time. There's an app called BetterBatteryStats in the Play Store. It also has a thread here on xda with an xda-members-only free version. This app will give you a lot more detailed info than the default Android battery usage screen. You can find out what's keeping the phone awake (called wakelocks) and uninstall that app. If no app is keeping your phone awake, then the reason for your quick battery drop may be a failing battery. In that case you'll have to replace the battery.
Also in case of battery posts, if you're using any ROM other than stock, it's better to mention your ROM name and CPU governor and frequency settings.

That should do a lot of good, yes. Because you'll have a fresh system and you can watch what apps you install. Especially be careful about apps with low ratings and low number of downloads. If this is still happening, then let BetterBatteryStats run from a full charge to empty and take screenshots of the overview section and wakelocks section.

Switch back to a 4.1.1 Rom
I have been saying this to each and everyone.
Don't revert to roms released before and in December.
The update in January contained a sds bug fix. It was a very critical bug.
Don't take for granted that Samsung will repair your phone in case of an sds bug issue. They may even say no and you'll be crying then. For God's sake don't downgrade.
Just imagine if you lose 5 months of messages, WhatsApp and what not.
All your pics. It's not worth not charging your phone everyday.
What's the problem. Just leave it charging overnight or when you aren't using it.

I'm still on 4.1.2 and unlikely to change back to 4.1.1. This is 99% due to the fact the browser in the older versions doesn't reflow text (like Nexus or HTC). Also, unfortunately due to the clowns at sky putting strict restrictions on their "Sky Go" app, it is not possible for me to use any of the custom roms as the app just does not work on them and there is no way around it.
I have to stick with stock and hope this drainage issue is sorted in the next update!

I normally don't use the stock browser. Somehow have always preferred Dolphin. And as for the Sky thingy, I am actually trying to make my sister in London kick Sky away cos they so blatantly support Apple products over Android devices. I am not sure if this is the case even now but some months ago their apps refused to run on Android tabs, and worked only on Phones.
Edit : I just thought of this, you can always flash 4.1.1 stock right? It isn't as if your phone status will change on just flashing a stock ROM on an unrooted device. And even if it does, you can change it back to normal using triangle away and all. That would allow you to use sky without any prob.

I always used Dolphin too but doesn't support flash on JB. Have to do a titanium backup and restore of the ICS version to get it to work and it seems every so slightly buggy.
The reason I don't go back to 4.1.1 is because it doesn't support text reflow. Similarily, ive always been rooted and need to toggle it on and off because I use apps like directorybind given Samsung's idiotic decision to use the internal memory as "SDCard"

If you are rooted, and sky does not work on modified devices, how do you get it to work? I need to get some apps feom my office to work on my root+stock device, but they normally don't start, displaying a message that 'Your device is modified'.
I tried directory bind for sometime, but found it to be a bit of a headache. Instead I use a simple script with ROM manager lite to switch external/internal storages. Found it on an external site, works flawlessly. I don't even have to backup game and audio/video data and when I flash a new rom now.

Tips on getting rid of lags

I have had my European G3 for a couple of days and what's getting me off is the small (and sometimes bigger)
lags here and there. Its probably mostly up to LGs skin a and apps but I rather not starting out using Nova because I think the functions are pretty good.
Right now the darn keyboard is lagging precisely that the ripped variant did on my M8, darn lag....
Anyone got any tips. So far I've tried:
1. Reset. Works for a while ...
2. Root n freeze n grenify. Well, it's lagging
So? Anyone with the same experience and maybe a fix?
Edit. I think I've got some of of the lag away.
So far I've tried the following:
1. Root
2. Greenify
3. Changed read ahead etc with trickster
4. Changed minfree and applied som launcher tweaks
5. Developer settings stuff
6. Other than that adfree, probably at a cost
The launcher and apps is now feeling a bit snappier and the battery should not be worse at least.
In developer's options either scale animations to 0.5 or off completely, see if it works

Trouble is it seems to get hot very easily
Weird. I haven't gotten any lags or stutters with mine.
Only bug happened was when I wake the phone it instantly locks it again. So I just restarted it and everything is fine.
Maybe try swiftkey? It's free and I love it with my Note 2 - especially the ability to control how long a long press is for numbers etc. Let me know how it is if you do, since I plan on using it with the G3.
Also, maybe something like Greenify will help hibernate more background processes and make it heat up less and free up the CPU?
I find lag on first day of use. Didnt install any app yet.
I think it was way over bloated with carrier app. Try disable a few with titanium backup. It seemed to help alot in my case.

UK D850? I don't think thats a thing. The UK versions should be the international (EU) versions the LGD855, which towelroot works to root the device.
You can't do anything to get rid of it.
Best case scenario is future updates by LG will improve performance, but no one can know for sure.

I guess you haven't used an S5. That thing is ridiculous.
After using my LG G3 a couple of days I'll say it lags about the same as the S5 did before the first two updates. You have to give it to Sammy, they did try to fix it pretty quick. The problem is more that their ui lags in the first place.

[Q] Android OS Battery Drain E980

Alright so I know this is something that comes up often time and time again. After doing so much searching online I haven't really found the answer i'm looking for with this issue. Simply put, Android OS shows it is using above 45% battery, and this is pretty much how it stays. My phone is the LG Optimus G Pro E980 AT&T and I'm running CM11 M10 release on it, directly from their website. I installed the "super light" version of Gapps and decided to install Hangouts and other Google apps as I need them. I've included a ton of screenshots of what I've found out so far and all of my settings related to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.
I've been using the app Wakelock Detector to try and narrow down this issue, but no luck. I really hate to return to the ATT stock image, it's so darn ugly, bloated, and soon outdated now with 4.4.4 out. Soooo any ideas anyone??? PLEASE HELP!!!! :crying:
I am running into the same ...batter draining very fast with CM11 4.4.4....somehow felt stock ROM had better battery

Android os drain has been discussed numerous times in our thread and in other device threads as it is a problem with a lot of cm built Roms.... Search before posting ... Not sure if there is a fix or not but good luck ...

:crying:

maybe the rom developed not to good for battery you should try another
