Is the bootloader unlocked?

[Q] Need help

I recently unlocked my tmobile mytouch 3g slide's bootloader with the htc method and i'm having trouble flashing a recovery with the command prompt fastboot thing. it has:
Code:
c:\Android>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (4528 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.971s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: image update error)
finished. total time: 0.976s
I've seen people before who have unlocked the bootloader with the htc method do this but did not get the error. Any help would be great thanks.
Update: I'm sorry for being stupid, haha, i found out that the recovery img wasn't compatible with my phone

[Q] Can't upgrade HBOOT?

Now when I try boot into the bootloader it's stuck at "checking for SD card update". How can I fix this? I can't load into a ROM either as I flashed a ROM incompatible with my HBOOT.
EDIT: Unplugged from wall charger and it's OK, phew!

The command wont work first time. do it again ( zip flash)
99 unknown fail is because your bootloader is still unlocked.
Relock it with fastboot oem lock
Then try again.

That worked a treat, now it's working. Should it automatically reboot once the green bar is finished on the black HTC screen? It's just staying there with a full bar right now.
Right have HBOOT 1.39, when I try boot into recovery I get a red triange with a phone underneath it. Tried flashing a recovery via fastboot and get the error:
sending 'recovery' (5742 KB)... OKAY
writing 'recovery'... FAILED (remote: not allowed)
What can I do?
EDIT: Nevermind, I'm stupid. All I had to do was re-unlock the bootloader.
you can do fastboot reboot bootloader and check if the bootloader is updated

fastboot cannot flash

I am unable to flash either a recovery or boot. I get reply with devices , phone is unlocked.
Any idea how to overcome error?

for this, first I install the stock recovery and then I passes the command "fastboot oem lock"
After that I tried installing stock ROM but it fails, Now I am stuck in bootloader and can not go back to CM11 nor installing stock ROM. currently I am getting ****RELOCKED***. I also tried unlocking it with the key provided by HTCDev.com but it didnt worked

TWRP problem, fastboot boot -> unknown command

Hi !
I'm trying to install the custom recovery TWRP on my LG G4, the "fastboot flash recovery (file)" command works :
Sending 'recovery' (6002 KB) OKAY [ 0.166s]
Writing 'recovery' OKAY [ 0.067s]
Finished. Total time: 0.292s
But then the "fastboot boot (file)" command doesn't ! It says :
Sending 'boot.img' (6002 KB) OKAY [ 0.144s]
Booting FAILED (remote: 'unknown command')
By the way when I try to enter into recovery mod using the power+volume down method it asks If I want to do a factory reset, If I say yes it does it, if I say no it just boot normally, no recovery mod.
By bootloader is unlocked, I checked using the "fastboot getvar unlocked" command, and I have the "your device software cannot be checked for corruption, lock the bootloader" screen.
Do you guys know what's the problem ?
