anyone know which version of odin to use
For whatever reason, Odin 1.85 won't work on my computer. However, Odin 1.83 does work. Is it safe to use the older version of Odin to flash stuff on my phone?

While Downloading Stock ROM From SamMobile For Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660, I Came Across The Following Instructions To Install The Stock ROM:
Instructions:
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes

I Just Wanted To Ask IF It was Possible To Flash Gio With The New ODIN (v3.09)?
The newest Odin is 4.42 and we use it already for more than a year, so Odin 3.09 is even older
Just use 4.42 and you'll be fine.
I was reading over the Odin guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...08-2013-odin-3-09-odin-1-85-versions-t2189539), and noticed two types of Odin listed: Odin and Odin Multi Downloader - what are the differences between these two types of Odin?
In addition, which version of Odin is recommended for flashing on a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919) [Android 4.4.4]?
Additionally, where would I be able to find a detailed changelog or comparison chart for each of the various versions of Odin listed below?

I'm not sure about the difference but I used regular Odin. I have 3.07 and 3.09 I used one and if that version doesn't work I used the other.

How do I flash this file to odin? Which version of odin should I use?
In odin there are four boxes: bootloader, pda, phone and csc, but the file I downloaded is only a single file called N5100XXDNJ2_N5100OLBDNJ2_N5100DXDNG1_HOME.tar.md5
In which box do I put this file?
