Hi, I have two phones connected on my right now. I have a WiMAX Nexus S 4G connect to Sprint and a Sprint Galaxy S3 connected to Boost. It has 3G but no 4G LTE. What steps can I take to get 4G LTE to work on the S3. The donor phone i used on the S3 has 4G also. I have been reading several forums but I cannot find anything that supports my situation. Please reply quickly. Thanks

BUMP..... I'm looking for the same thing
Boost uses WiMax, so no LTE on a flashed phone yet. You would need an LTE boost donor to get the auth keys and config from, which doesn't exist.

Boost offers LTE they have 2 LTE phones, the boost force which is a zte warp and htc one sv.

The question is how to pull the auth keys off. It works on a ICCID linked with your MEID to auth on the network. any ideas?

ive been able to get data with boost and cricket with the Epic and talk and text to work with verzon anybody have any luck at all i have cdma workshop paid version so it shouldnt be to hard...i thought
Would be nice. Sprint data speeds are getting worse everyday (at least in my area) . When I talked to them they said it was not their networks fault but my phones fault. Must be everyone else I know has a bad phone to then. I might have to drop Sprint soon. I don't want to but 40kbs down and 8 up is ridiculous. My friends who have US Cellular for abot same price are getting approximately 200 down and 80 up! When I started Sprint I would get around 150 down and 70 up on this phone

best speed ive got from this epic is about 250k down and 120k up using eh17 modem and supposely a corporate sprint 21081 has only happened once in my house where i do most of my test at. most of the time its less then 100k :-( i jus came across another epic which im going to make vzw data work on it its already matches the vzw doner phone talk txt work. i jus retired my htc titan a few months ago getting 300k easy in this same area. i had 2 of them one from verizon one from sprint both working on vzw with all features. 2 diff accounts. on the epic ive noticed the roaming signal will not leave me alone even with a modified sprint prl for verizon which fixed it on my mogul/titan. i think my evdo keys are correct. full copy. data works on doner phone. i believe the dmu 10.key is not needed since they were already generated might try and play around with the um properties in qpst tomorrow
those speeds are from my boost mobile account

I have the paid version of the newest cdma workshop and pulled the info from my doner. its a LG VX10000S.
update: ive been doing some research at work today and i believe now its because of the roaming triangle i was getting which was not allowing evdo to connect i hear only certain modified sprint prls designed for verizon towers will get rid of the Triangle. the one i had used before with my mogul is not one of them anymore,..
Well guys to bring an old post back to life....
An Epic 4G with full unlimited data working on verizon prepaid is the ish.....
I also have the epic with verizon all the unlimited data. Have you gotton any other phones to work also?

The NV items could be in different locations on newer phones. There are other ways to read and write the AAA password.

I was wondering since Boost and Virgin Mobile now have Sprint's 4G WiMAX , how would I flash my Evo 4G over to Boost Mobile with the 4G WiMAX working?

Its been talked about already, you'll need a 4G donor. Read to use the HTC Design 4G.

You don't need a link to figure that out. You needed a donor 3g boost mobile phone in order to flash any cdma phone over to 3g boost mobile. You will obviously need a 4g boost mobile phone in order to flash over any cdma phone over to 4g boost mobile.

Yea I think you would need to buy the HTC EVO Design 4g use the stuff you used to flash you EVO 4g to boost mobile. This is just an idea after you are done with the HTC EVO Design 4g return it.
If u return the phone and somebody buys it and turns it on, won't that scramble the data

Yea if you use the donor and return it you'll be screwed once someone else buys that phone and turns on the 4g unless you find a way to scramble that phones wimax address.... there has to be another way to do this besides using a donor for is wimax mac address..

I wonder if those WiMax MAC addresses are anything like ESN/MeIDs in a sense they are close numerically to other similar phones on the same network. That is the only way I can think it would work but that is highly illegal in this case.
From my understanding
You don't necessarily need a 4g donor or anything just change your mac address to a SPRINT WORKING MAC ADDRESS on your phone.
I remember when I first started doing cable modems in vegas this is how we used to get on the network, we used to clone mac addresses from modems by fishing them and then we flashed them on a modem and voila
I don't think that sprint is provisioning the 4g mac addresses like that but using a friends wimax mac address as your own can work, don't ask me how to do this as I don't know with HTC evo I have it on my e4gt flashed to boost and I did it by ##33284# ##debug# lol dont know if that's right on the numbers.
But yeah just borrow a friends mac address and change it to that turn on your 4g and GG!
4g on boost help
well i still havent figure it out, i bought the evo design from boost so i can have 4g, i dont like the cell phone at all, is too tiny compare to evo 4g or galaxy s2, so i flash it to the galaxy s2 like everybody knows now days and also change the wimax mac address from the design in to the galaxy change the realm and it worked!! I have 3g and 4g working with everything messagesand internet, now i tryed the same with the evo 4g change the wimax mac address and the realm same like i did on the galaxy but it didnt work, so question: anybody knows how to make 4g to work on evo4g with the evodesign 4g as donor?
You need more than just the MAC, also needed is the proper NAI and user name to the MAC address.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, But my question is I have been trying to port my SGH-L900 to straight talk, because in my area verizon is the best, and sprint is just crap when it comes to data and signal strength. I have everything working according to this guide, but for some reason the only data service I get is 1x and not 3g, I don't know if it is because of something with my data profiles, HA or AAA, or my DMU10 key? Any help would be appreciated, and Thanks in advance.
Bump, Anyone?

Confused...Straight Talk runs off AT&T & T-Mobile networks, depending on which SIM you order...they don't have anything to do with Verizon. Soooo...maybe not possible to get the Sprint Note2 flashed to Straight Talk with 3G?
if you want to use Straight Talk I would just but the International Unlocked version of the note2.
I used a LG220c witch does run on the verizon network, I had my galaxy S2 running fine on verizon, steps were to use a samsung fascinate donor phone, clone the lg220c esn and meid to the fascinate, then clone the fascinate to the S2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473141
Hello, I am looking for a way to flash my E4GT ( Sprint Samsung Galaxy s2 ) to Boost Mobile. I have an active boost mobile account and a sanyo incognito (wont turn on). IS it possible for me to flash or swap esn numbers to get my e4gt on boost mobile ? Please Help. Let me know if you need anymore details. Thanks in advance.
You need the donor to turn on to activate it and pull the necessary data from it using CDMA WS. Without the donor being able to boot you won't be able to activate or retrieve the info you need. Your best bet would be to buy a cheap donor off of CL or ebay, or buy the cheapest 3g phone from boost they have, any will do as long as it's 3g capable.

Thank you very much for your help. I just went and swapped my phone to a boost mobile Sanyo Juno. This one is fully working.
Question your were able to use a Sanyo Juno as a donor phone for boost mobile and it worked and you have 3g?
everyone seems to say that the only phone you can use is a sanyo incognito as a donor?
So did the Sanyo Juno work?
Thanks
I used to have the galaxy s3 from sprint and for some reason i started to get a data connection while i was on the phone. I recently switched to the galaxy note 2 on sprint and its not letting me do the same thing...
Is there a setting or something? i am rooted and on a custom rom. i was wondering if there was something in system/csc/feature.xml ?
Only on wifi and lte. The note 2 doesnt have a svdo radio, so its incapable of doing dual voice data over 3g/1x

You can talk and surf as long as data is going over wifi or you're connected to lte, just won't do it if your data is on 3g. He's probably on lte with vzw which is why he can talk and surf. Lte and wifi use separate hardware radios than voice does. The s3 has a svdo radio which is a dual channel 3g radio that allows talking and surfing simultaneously.
