I know the TP2 has a built in FM Radio. Will it also do HD Radio and/or AM Radio?
Definitely not on the AM Radio - It doesn't have the hardware for it. I suspect the HD Radio is out as well, but I'm not sure.
No I dont believe it can do AM or HD radio.
Has anyone gotten the FM radio to work without using headphones?
Won't work without headphones - it's the radio antenna.
But the nice thing is that with a decent streaming program you can easily play shoutcast or other streams which in my opinion is much better than any regular radio station!
i have a non-htc headphone adapter. its just bigger than a quarter. It still works with that plugged with no headphones...there must be a way to disable the headphone requirement because i think it will still work...any ideas?
Can you guys please share the FM application for HTC Touch Pro 2. A link in 4shared is greatly appreciated as I can't download using rapidshare.

Hello Guys!
I'm a new user of Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. I was just wondering whether the FM transmitter option can be implemented by any of the applications? or you have to buy any extra gadget for that?
You should have gotten a FM app preinstalled, look for a brown icon or press the menu button(and hold it) to search for it.
"FM"

FM transmitter means to be able to play the music of your phone on a car/Audio system by setting the frequency of the phone's FM transmitter and the car's/Audio system's FM frequency
And @OP i have been trying but have had no luck with the same
its more a hardware dependent than software... so cannot be added on our ace..
if u are looking for ur car.. there are lot of fm transmitter available, through which u can play through ur usb drive, sd-cards, and even ur phone (though aux in wud also be needed for phone)..
try seraching it on ebay.
Hey everyone,
It seems as if track information is not being passed to my Ford Sync system from my Telus Galaxy S3 when using Slacker Radio or any other app. I have also tried JB without luck either which has me concerned that this is not going to be included in the next update (I'm back running ICS after too many bugs with JB)
I use Slacker radio all the time and not having track information on screen is a huge bummer! (Album art would have been nice too).
iPhone seemed to work flawlessy in that regard.
I cannot find any info on anyone putting in a different bluetooth stack that supports AVRCP from third party apps like there was for CM9 for other android phones....anyone have any idea how to get this working?
I own an international SGS2 with Cyanogenmod 11. Would love to use FM radio. Tried Spirit FM light. Horrible. Would rather avoid to spend 5€ for unlocked version.
How about extracting apk from original Samsung firmware? Should it work or not?
It won't work. The Samsung FM radio app needs Samsung-modified framework components that aren't available as source. Spirit FM is the only choice for non-stock firmware and built-in radio chips.
The other alternative would be an RTL2832 USB TV tuner connected via a USB OTG cable, an external antenna, and SDR Touch app. That's probably not what you want.
Reexxxxx, !! i know how you feel, i ended using spirit. Spirit is good but its not as the stock fm. Thats the only thing we got bro !
RTL2832 USB TV via a USB OTG is huge battery drain and SDR Touch costs more that SpiritFM. On the other hand you may receive a lot more that with built in radio. I would for for SpiritFM unless you want to listen to police/taxi radio .
Try the new Spirit2 Free release: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/spirit-fm/app-spirit2-free-source-real-fm-radio-t2951455
Follow-up questions are better in that thread.
