[Q] FM transmitter in Galaxy ACE s5830 - Galaxy Ace S5830 Themes and Apps

Hello Guys!
I'm a new user of Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. I was just wondering whether the FM transmitter option can be implemented by any of the applications? or you have to buy any extra gadget for that?

You should have gotten a FM app preinstalled, look for a brown icon or press the menu button(and hold it) to search for it.
"FM"

FM transmitter means to be able to play the music of your phone on a car/Audio system by setting the frequency of the phone's FM transmitter and the car's/Audio system's FM frequency
And @OP i have been trying but have had no luck with the same

its more a hardware dependent than software... so cannot be added on our ace..
if u are looking for ur car.. there are lot of fm transmitter available, through which u can play through ur usb drive, sd-cards, and even ur phone (though aux in wud also be needed for phone)..
try seraching it on ebay.

Touch Pro2 (AT&T Tilt 2) FM Radio Question

I know the TP2 has a built in FM Radio. Will it also do HD Radio and/or AM Radio?
Definitely not on the AM Radio - It doesn't have the hardware for it. I suspect the HD Radio is out as well, but I'm not sure.
No I dont believe it can do AM or HD radio.
Has anyone gotten the FM radio to work without using headphones?
Won't work without headphones - it's the radio antenna.
But the nice thing is that with a decent streaming program you can easily play shoutcast or other streams which in my opinion is much better than any regular radio station!
i have a non-htc headphone adapter. its just bigger than a quarter. It still works with that plugged with no headphones...there must be a way to disable the headphone requirement because i think it will still work...any ideas?
Can you guys please share the FM application for HTC Touch Pro 2. A link in 4shared is greatly appreciated as I can't download using rapidshare.

[Q] IR sensor... no provided apps??!

Hi,
As far as I can tell there are no default apps for the IR sensor?
Does anyone know of I am missing something or if there are any good apps our there for it?
I have a panasonic TV, Yamaha receiver amp and sky. .. I was hoping for a universal type remote app?!
Thanks,
Ian
i have been using Smart IR Remote and works great but if you search Play for IR Remotes you will find a lot of them now.

Peel remote control came with mine
LoL just checked it again, on the Samsung Tab PRO web page (Belgium version) of the there is no mention at all about the IR... xD
I was pretty surprised when I saw the IR led on top of my 10.1
Anyway there is no app included on mine, So I'm gonna test some apps to see how it works
Just checked Samsungs site
Check out the attached image.
On the US version yes
But on the European version nothing

I was surprised as well when I found the IR emitter. Even weirder that there is no app provided in the Dutch version....which is probably just the generic EU version.
Smart IR Remote works nicely for me, I'm sticking with this
And good range as well.
i have the UK version, i had a look at that smart remote, its a fiver though and I just thought that it should come with one rather than having to pay!
Can I get hold of the solution from one of the other country versions from anywhere?
Cheers

conan1600 mentioned that his came with Peel Smart Remote.
You can download that for free from the Google play store.
and there are many others for free in the Google play store.
Same here, Smart Remote is well worth the money. The dev was really helpful in getting all my AV equipment working with the app.
Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
You can also download watchon from samsung apps. I did and it is actually a very nice app and remote control
Great, thanks for the replies, will give them a go!

[Q] How to extract FM Radio from stock firmware?

I own an international SGS2 with Cyanogenmod 11. Would love to use FM radio. Tried Spirit FM light. Horrible. Would rather avoid to spend 5€ for unlocked version.
How about extracting apk from original Samsung firmware? Should it work or not?
It won't work. The Samsung FM radio app needs Samsung-modified framework components that aren't available as source. Spirit FM is the only choice for non-stock firmware and built-in radio chips.
The other alternative would be an RTL2832 USB TV tuner connected via a USB OTG cable, an external antenna, and SDR Touch app. That's probably not what you want.
Reexxxxx, !! i know how you feel, i ended using spirit. Spirit is good but its not as the stock fm. Thats the only thing we got bro !
RTL2832 USB TV via a USB OTG is huge battery drain and SDR Touch costs more that SpiritFM. On the other hand you may receive a lot more that with built in radio. I would for for SpiritFM unless you want to listen to police/taxi radio .
Try the new Spirit2 Free release: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/spirit-fm/app-spirit2-free-source-real-fm-radio-t2951455
Follow-up questions are better in that thread.

Hello, I am new to the forum and the whole head units things, but I had the same issue as you mention. Only worked on default music player, but not others. I downloaded the app RK3066 (available in the app store - can't post outside links, sorry) and it fixed my issue. I have a Klyde unit with the RK3066, from Pumpkin.
When I installed RK3066 I also installed XposedMTC. I'm not sure if it is required to make the steering wheel controls work but these 2 apps made a huge difference on my head unit.

Hope it helps.
I just downloaded the above app on my quad-core Chinese generic gps/media player in my Touareg and it works a treat. Thanks @francosilva

A simple Mirrorlink module

Hello guys
I hope i'm right here.
I'm owner of an Peugeot 308 GTi (2016) with a navigation system called "Smeg+" .
I am searching for a long time how to integrate android in my car.
A full head unit with complete new display isn't possible because i need my vehicle configuration like climatronic, light settings etc.
So there is unfortunately only one solution with old android 6.
This:
m.de.aliexpress.com/item/32818864085.html?pid=808_0003_0109&spm=a2g0n.search-amp.list.32818864085
But my idea is, what if i could integrate a simple mirrorlink module?
I need only mirrorlink with usb or hdmi so i could take my old galaxy S5 with Android 8.0 and ready.
But i can't find a module with touch driver.
I just need a module with mirrorlink and a integrated
4-pin lvds switch so that i can simple switch with my steering wheel for example.
But i want also control my Samsung trough the original display so i need a module with touch driver too.
In the link there is a full android system with mirrorlink support but i don't need this android so it's wasted money for me.
Do you have some working ideas?
Maybe a Multimedia Interface or something with mirrorlink and touch driver support?
That would be great.
Sry for my english, i'm from germany.
