So I did a Root 101 No No... In a sleepy state I decided to flash my T-Mo galaxy S2 without doing a system wipe..... smh...smh. As a result I brick my phone. However, in a way I've never seen before. Is there anyone out there that can help???
Here the problem:
Phone does not turn on. (No sound, nothing on the screen)
Phone does not respond to 3 button press. (No vibrate and can't get into clockwork)
Phone does not connect to usb port. (it contently connects and disconnect)
As you can see this is a BIG problem and its left me stump. Before I declare this phone as a shiny paper weight I leave my hope in you guys.
Thanks for the help

i have a a100 with the latest flexreaper rom installed and im stuck with a pretty serious issue:
a couple of days ago the tab was acting real slow and sluggish and getting bad battery life didnt think nothing of it so i just rebooted a couple times and left it alone . all was good untill the battery hit 10% and i plugged it up using the factory ac adapter. the next day (maybe 6-7 hours later) i went to turn it on and nothing no vibrate no screen flash nothing; other than the power button turning blue as i pressed it and it would stay on for a couple hours but still no other response from the tablet.
im at my wits end on what could be wrong and now i got my wife with her foot on my neck till i get it fixed. can anyone help me?
ive tried to do a hard reset with the reset button tried to boot into recovery /bootloader no dice
(also my home button flashed a couple time i pressed the power button) dont know if its relevant but wanna get as much info out as possible
wondering if anyone can help me...

It may take awhile for someone to see this and form something to try, random bricking for no reason is rare, its almost always some error by the user. However have you attempted adb connection to it? Leave it powered off, connect to the PC you used to unlock the boot loader then power on. Does the PC make the USB connect sound? Does the Acer vibrate? Did the home key blink again?
It really sounds like your boot partition is wrecked which wouldn't normally happen outside of flashing. If boot loader is trash then it won't know what to do and just sit there. No recovery or anything else.

it made something like the connect sound but instead of the regular duh doom sound it did a dadadoom (kinda hard to describe the sound) but it was faster than ive ever heard the connect sound before which is weird. the tab didnt vibrate and it seems the home button blinks when the tab is dead and needs recharged

Yeah I know that sound it means USB connected but error for some reason. Its been shown if this thing dies all the way down it wont read the battery correctly and probably needs to be sent in. Before that I personally would unplug it open it up and remove the battery for awhile, maybe an hour then put it back and plug it in. But thats me, not the advice I'm giving. If you have warantee on it use that.
The batteries on a lot of devices and laptops etc have something of a fail safe, if the voltage drops below a certain point it trips to prevent cell damage, however it renders the battery useless.
I haven't searched out much past that if a reset is possible by us, but it seems the pack is trash after or needs sent in.
Since this is a sealed unit you void warranty opening it (well unlocking the boot loader did too) so you can't send it in for repairs without paying for it.
I hope someone can jump in and help figure this out, and prove me wrong.

Weird, This exact same thing happened to me. Used it in the morning and now after work it won't turn on. I had already tried disconnecting the battery, but hadn't thought to leave it disconnected for an hour. My tablet has been running the leaked ICS since it came out and The last factory reset it had was about a month ago. It was working fine up until this. The power button seems to be responding correctly, the issue is that after the LEDs light up, there is no vibration or display. I hope someone can help us with this issue.
EDIT:
It won't connect in ADB mode. It will only appear on my computer as an APX device and since there is no vibration I am unable to boot into fastboot. Any help or suggestions? All the threads I have found have involved booting into fastboot.
i am also having this problem. i set ti backup last night to save to box i turned it on this morning it.worked set it on the charger came back to a frozen screen. I turned it off now just a black screen it turns on or the home button dose but nothing comes up on the screen

I plugged to the charger and this morning I tried to turning it on but it failed. I did the reset pin but nothing. I connected to the computer and it was recognized as a APX device and installed a driver ACER Picasso USB recover but i cant access anything. I am a nob. Thanks

Has anyone tried holding the power button for a while? Laptops do this too, if someone felt ventures, try taking the battery out and hold the power button. No promises, might work.

Having the exactly same issue, here...
I also tried to hit the hardware reset button and it does not help.
If the screen is blank while powered on its in failsafe mode, in other words is bricked, has to go to Acer.

This just happened to me a few weeks ago as well. If you are still under warranty send it in to Acer, thats what I did. I just got an email saying they had fixed it and were sending it back for free!!
At the time I was on the 9/02 JB build. I wonder if this issue is caused by faulty hardware or if it is an issue that was made by rooting and unlocking it? I don't know enough about this stuff to answer that though, but it does make me think whether I should root/unlock it when I get it back or leave it stock.
Also thanks Pio_masaki for helping me a few weeks back wasn't sure if I was even going to send it in until you said they most likely won't be able to tell.
I highly doubt they even CARE when sending these in. They will void for physical damage most likely.

Hello all,
I'm got an I747 that one day just decided to stop working on me. I was running stock rooted firmware and have never tried custom roms.
The phone repeatedly tries to boot up and then shut down. I can't ever get pass the Samsung logo.
The same thing happens when trying to access recovery or download mode. I see the initial download/recovery screen and then the phone shuts off.
Is the motherboard toast?
My friend has an I747 as well but it has been blacklisted. Are there any parts I can swap from one another to get either one of them working?
Any help or input is appreciated.

Does removing & reinserting the battery (with no buttons pushed) trigger the restart behavior?

Yes, just by inserting the battery the phone vibrates and begins to start up.
Once the Samsung logo appears it turns back off again.

Indicates Samsung stuck power button syndrome. A lot has been posted about this.
I would start with warranty service if available.
If not, search a lot & choose solutions carefully.
It happened once with my Captivate & teardown & blowout cured it,
though I never observed the physical defect (only the symptoms).
I have used apps to reduce my use of the button ever since, with GS2 & GS3.
Approach teardown with extreme caution if you are not experienced.
Gently tapping a table edge with the upper right has worked for some.

Thanks for the advice. I did not know this was a common problem.
Unfortunately I am out of warranty so I will try to fix this myself.
I have already taken apart the phone before so I am fine with tearing it down again.
What do you mean by blowout? Do I physically try to tap the power button of the mother board on a table edge?

Push out any dust or debris outward using forced dry air.
The gentle tapping of the button edge area is a pre-disassembly alternative.
Many opinions, experiences & videos have been posted. It's worth it to sample some first.

Hello, I'm looking for help with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite SM-T110.
The problem I am having is it is stuck on the screen that flashes on when you first power on the tablet, so it's the screen that says samsung galaxy tab 3 lite SM-T110. It isn't on solid, it just keeps flashing over and over again. I can not turn the power off. I tried holding the power button for a full minute and got nothing.
I have tried to get to recovery mode by holding power, volume up and home but all I get is a screen with a little android laying down saying no command.
I know next to nothing about tablets so I am really at a loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know exactly what happened, it's my kids tablet. The battery was dead so I charged it and when I took it off the charger I noticed this problem. There is a pretty good chance it was dropped but of course no one is admitting that.
The only thing I can do with it is go into download mode. If I try to get into recovery mode it just shows a little android guy on his back and says no command. The start up screen flashes continuously until the battery goes dead. I can't turn it off at all.

You are still safe if you can access to download mode, try to flash a new stock rom with odin. It works most of the times
Any chance you could link me to a good tutorial? I am totally clueless when it comes to this stuff.

Alright, I have a link "Its for tab 3 10.1 p52xx series" here http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...p52xx-soft-t3051604/post59361000#post59361000 , make good use of it. Make sure that you use this firmware for your device "SM-T110" http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T110/ , choose the one that suit you the best or from your region. Good Luck, thanks button or a cup of coffee could be useful.

Thanks! I will try this and let you know how I make out.
Hi I am having the same problem. Nothing that I know of has been done to mine. It's my mom's actually and I know it has been running slow. All I get is the flashing screen and little android guy saying no command. Tried the home power and volume up and that's when I get the little A guy with no command message. What can I do since I don't get anything else.
So a few hours back I picked up my phone, but it didn't respond. A few minutes earlier it worked fine, and now it just seems dead. I cannot launch recovery mode or download mode. The phone does not respond to me holding the power button or something, there is no vibration and no visuals on the screen. Removing the battery and plugging it back in does not work. Leaving it charge for a while does not work. (assuming that it even charges). When I plug in the phone into my PC via cable I hear a sound that something is connected, but it doesn't show up on 'My PC'.
What do I do?
The same happened to my sister! Nothing worked, probably the motherboard died. Used it at leaset for spare parts for my other s4 mini. Especially the LED panel is so precious, it's cost is like half the price of the phone.

Yeah, likely. I ain't a geek or sth, but the same happened to my sister. Was looking for a solution for hours, but it's probably some random variation in voltage or sth that burns some part on it and then it dies. You don't have to crack the phone etc., it can happen randomly.

Wouldn't a broken motherboard make my PC unable to make a sound when it's connected? Also, when it's connected to the PC and i hold the power button for ~15 seconds, it disconnects. This would mean that the power button still functions

Then it's deffinitely NOT completely broken. A dead MB would definitely NOT identify the phone in the PC.
Did u try entering Download mode & connecting to ODIN, trying to load FW again?

FW = Firm Ware i.e. software that is flashed onto chips. aka ROM.
But if you can't go to download mode you can't flash stock ROM again. So Yes sounds likely some component has failed or maybe just a bad solder joint, a short, etc) which is not allowing power up,( either way you need someone to fix hardware & install stock using jtag for you, probably not worth the cost on our old phones in most countries. but if you can buy a used phone with eg a damaged screen or other problem you may be able to get 1 working phone by swapping parts eg power board ...
The same happened to me last august... I posted here, but no one ever helped me https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/help/weird-bricked-gt-i9195-stuck-black-t3619023 i just think that it's some kind of programmed obsolescence, my phone was 4 years old and it just shut off and never light up again after closing a simple call... F*** Sammy and their timers!
Just happened my nephews phone. Was intermittently responding to buttons and now not at all. PC detects it and shows as "HS-USB Diagnostics 9008" in Device Manager.
There are a couple of guides online for using applications on the PC to interact with the phone using this device ID, but it seems to be mainly focused on LG phones. Anyone know if there's anything that can be done for Samsung devices?
The exact thing happend to my S4, it suddenly turnd of while im using it, did anyone find a solution?
