Hey guys! I'm looking for a new rom!
What do you think is better, Jellyking or Cyanogenmod 10? Why?
AW: [Q] Jellyking vs. Cyanogenmod 10
Jellyking IS CM10.
Jellyking offers loads of tweaks and fixes but the battery drains very fast.
CM10 is just pure AOSP without any mods or tweaks. There're are still some bugs that were fixed in JK, so it's up to you.

Does video playback in MX player work? Some people say yes, others say no. So im confused.
Does google now and voice search work? I heard that google now is not supposed to be able to work in WFS because it is ARMv6 :/

You can even watch HD videos with the stock player.
Google Now works.
Voice search works, but you have to uninstall and reinstall it with the Play Store.

I wonder if there is a page that does a performance and feature comparison of various CM ROMs for Desire?
there is just a minimal difference as they are all based in cm

In my searching of the best performance for our Xperia S, I want to know which rom choose the Xperia S users. We have no official Jelly Bean, and CM10 is the base of all, but obviously they are quite different.
I want that you decided thinking in battery, and in possibilities in appearance and usability (and other configurable parameters).
I Did not try MIUI, but imagine it will also smooth.
I assume that we start with Unlocked Bootloader.
PAC in my opinion. I don't like iPhone's so wouldn't want miui. And there's a few more options in pac over cm

I use PAC ever since i have unlocked btldr, it's faster in benchmarks than CM, more feature-rich, and smooth

BTW you can choose PAC with nova Kernel for maximum performance and customization + install mihome launcher (by miui) for cool themes!
Thats what I have done and I am totally happy with it!
Try it!

I use Pac and I've achieved 2 day battery life with moderate usage. No lag and good performance.

Cm10+ nova all the way
Each ROM is going to behave slightly differently for each device. Reading the threads and flashing them yourself is the only real way to tell which one will work the best for you and your device.
"Best ROM" threads are not allowed.

So wich rom do you think is better ? the jelly bean rom from CM10 or the PARANOIDANDROID v3.0 rom ? Both seem good but the PARANOIDANDROID one look's a little better to me. What is your opinion ?

You could also try the Marius.a JB rom, it has working cam and video recording..
[ROM/MOD] [Android 4.1.1] [v1.1 09.03.2013]
After trying most of the jb and ics roms here, I think paranoid by WoH is the best.
Very fast, stable, and a2sd seems to work better than on other roms
CM10 is better for me
Hi, for me PARANOIDANDROID is much better than CM10, i dont have any problems with soft reboot.
Rgds,
For me PARANOIDANDROID 3.10 is much better - camera works fine, ROM is fast
But I have troubles with music sometimes - when plug off headphones - no more music till reboot (any music player)

yep im using PARANOIDANDROID for more than a week and its very good. I have the same problem with music as you.
As for me, Cm 10 is better.
I like VJ CM10.1 there are some problems, but nothing that I cannot live with.

Try them all and decide for yourself. Getting advice will only get different answers from different posters, none of which will be "right" for you.

Hello guys,
does anyone here have a flashable zip file of DSP Manager that works with the latest Android version 4.4.2 for the beloved N7 2013? I only found an outdated one which doesn't work anymore. I know there are a few Roms out there that have it included, but I would like to use it on stock Rom, so a flashable would be very nice.
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried viper4android? I just installed this myself on my N7 2013 with stock ROM, and it's pretty amazing.
Yes I tried it, but for me it's pretty unstable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes music stops in the middle of a song... so I prefer DSP more, it's stable as a rock for me.

On the N7 2013? I had initial problems with it too until I realized I had to go into settings and switch off from Music FX, also by using the flashable zip found in same thread, it makes it global. So far no issues.
Not sure if this has been asked already, but HTC Apps won't install on my GPE m8. Specifically the gallery and music app, but I have Sense TV installed that works perfectly fine. Is there any reason why or does it have to do something with the Sense framework that won't let it install?

maybe HTC is adding with the time Support for more apps on GPE, since Sense TV is available on PlayStore too . would be good to see all the apps like htc Music and camera on GPE
Yes, they require the Sense Framework. ?

Yea sense tv too xD sense framework is a bit coded into gpe...not much like on sense roms...so all apps could work if HTC would do it

Not exactly. Sense is not AOSP compatible. Just like you wouldn't try flashing a Samsung TouchWiz app on your M8.

Gpe is not an aosp ROM like cm etc. Gpe Roms by HTC do have s bit of sense framework otherwise boomsound and sense TV etc wouldn't work. Also they could get us all other apps, maybe they do it with the time
