Hmm, have you tried running a ruu to put the device back to stock?

Come on man.. Why do that? A simple radio and/or recovery flash will fix this thing. I have experienced this before and fixed this issue.

Without adb to tell what is stopping the device from fully booting we cannot fully tell if its the radio or not. Besides running a ruu will reflash the radio in the process and it will check it to make sure its OK before sending it to the bootloader. Flashing radios is a dangerous game, one bad download is all it takes to kill a phone. And as you said all the user would need to do afterwards is reflash the recovery and their preferred rom I'm not looking to start a flame war here, I'm just saying that a ruu will be easier for inexperienced users. And they will not lose s-off as revolutionary patches the bootloader to ignore all updates.

Yeah RUU is a safe method. I was just sharing my idea of the issue. Flashing radio is my method of choice for this thing and I always use fastboot method for it.

Hmmm :-\ if I was you I would run ruu, and go completely to stock. Then try letting the phone boot. If that fails boot into bootloader and select factory reset. If that fails then it may well be a hardware issue pal :-\
Tapped out from my sexy nexus 7
How did you flash the radio?
It can be a bit sticky using cwm to flash it, fastboot is the most reliable way, it does sound like a radio problem to me.... Does it boot up without a sim card in, or can you quickly try to turn it to airplane mode before it switches off again? If it stays on then it is most likely a broken radio.
As stated above though an ruu should solve the problem regardless.....

I was installing the Cyanogenmod hboot so i can install my Cool3D sense on my HTC DESIRE CDMA, and now once i restarted the phone once it successfully installed the hboot, my phone wont do ANYTHING. Fastboot works, but nothing else. I can't seem to get the official USCC RUU to download, either. I have tried USCC RUU's from other people, but all of them keep saying that there is a file error or something like that... like it says a file may be damaged on the RUU....? but yeah. I hope my phone isn't bricked, because I am about to go on a big trip and i need my phone, and ofcourse don't have money to get another one... can someone please help me, like fast?!?! Hi there, I have a HTC Desire GSM, Currently running elk CM10, 4EXT Recovery, Stock HBoot, The problem is with every Sense rom that I have tried it freezes and locks up after a matter of minutes , Then it wont let me boot , This is the same for all sense Roms on XDA, Every AOSP rom works fine. I know it sounds strange but ive only had these freezing issues since I changed my Sim Card to GiffGaff. Any Help would be greatly appreciated as I love the Sense UI and would love to use it.
Never mind it was the sd card causing the issues.

First of all, thank you for your patience.
I do the following:
1. wipe all but sd-card;
2. format all but sd-card;
3. fix permissions;
4. sometimes I format sd-card using the following settings;
a. ext4
b. sd-ext 1 Gb
c. swap 1 Gb
d. sdcard 12 Gb
5. file system check
6. choose zip
7. install
Here is the point where, after analyzing the package, the phone displays “Status 7” error and aborts installation.

On htcruu.com you'll find RUUs, you probably want 2.17.707.x or newer.

Ok the whole story is i have unlock bootloader, install CWM and root my HOX, then when i know there is an update, i relock it and update the RUU and wanted to update to JB......
I have flash stock recovery and the firmware (13MB) then after flashing the firmware and restart my phone, it is struck in the white screen
Now my HBoot is 1.36.0000
Radio is 5.125.162.29
So did you flash an RUU?
Not sure why you updated hboot, but now you CM10 won't work, so you will need stock ROM and stock boot.img, which the RUU should have given you.
I have xperia arc lt15i....I have unlocked and rooted it and installed cwm ...then I backed up stock Rom...then tried to install miui 2.11.30fxp147.zip directly without installing kernel IMG throug flashtool...the installation of the zip aborted and says status 7 error.....so i try to restore the backup and it was stuck at formatting system ...so I remove battery...now I can't get into cwm recovery because the phone is stuck at Sony boot logo and blue led is not turning on to get into recovery....what should I do now?
Any help will be appreciated....

Kernel can only be installed via fastboot, our phones are made like they are, so we do not have any other way.
Yes, other phones may have that possibility, SE phones not, due to partitions structure.

Hi,
I was trying to unroot my wildfire s after being rooted for more than a year... i used the below link to lock back my bootloader and unroot ..

On the bootloader screen, it says locked (oow)... i then used PG76IMG.zip file which i actually got by renaming the file : RUU_Marvel_S_hTC_Asia_India_2.13.720.1_Radio_47.23a.35.3035H_7.53.39.03M_release_225848_signed.zip .
After that, when i tried to reboot my phone, it never goes past the htc logo screen.. Please help.. What am i missing or doing incorrectly.
