I had fully wiped the phone, installed slimroms (http://slimroms.net/index.php/downl.../1255-slim-gt-n7100-4-2-1-stable-1-0-official) without any addons.
I have still the same issue with camera as reported earlier in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2115434 (I actually wanted to post in that thread to notify the developers that this issue still exists in some phones, but the 10 post limit prevented me )
If there is any workaround for it, I would be happy to learn about it?
Then don't use it.

That I am not doing either. If you check the thread, you notice they think they have it fixed as the fixes seems to solve the problem for most people. Then in the end of the thread, 1.0 gets released and it should contain all the fixes.
Apparently there are still problems.
Nope, I am not using it at the moment.

No it doesn't.
V1 doesn't mean that all problems will be fixed.
It simply means that the software has changed it's stage. It also depends on the
Dev what he means.
Perseus is still in alpha but it is completely stable.
If a software is in beta. And a final version doesn't mean it wouldn't be updated ever.

Im on the version prior to the August 17th update and im wondering if I could get the brightness slide in the notifaction center by installing an apk or going to clockwork recovery and installing zip from SD card. Im on free galaxy s3 r6 do you think theyll add that as an update for r7?
Thanks!
Yup, he was working on it a few days ago. I think he'll prob rebase R7 on the latest update so it should be there.

Alright thanks for the heads up. Oh and do you know what else hes putting into R7. Could you possibly link me. I was hoping to tell him about a few bugs with the ROM hoping he could fix them but I dont have the post count.
I'm not sure what else he was planning to add into the next release. I only remember he was working on the brightness slider before he had to take a break for family.
If the bugs are major ones you can always PM him about them, but since R7 will likely be re-based on latest update I wouldn't bother about minor ones just yet. The update may address them already.
Another thing is if you have flashed any themes or mods on top of the rom, I would reflash the rom without the extras to make sure the bugs truely are rom related.
What are the bugs you've run into btw? If I can help, I will.

I have a camera bug when its in recording mod not recording it randomly exits or crashes and I don't like the animations is there any way to switch back.
Also I am having an issue probably not rom related where my music player wont find any songs. I accidently deleted the Music folder on my android. I quickly replace it with the same exact name Music in the same exact spot and added my music back into it. Now it wont appear.
Lol! I just answered you in the thread you created for the music issue!
We are getting new camera firmware with the update, so that bug will hopefully be fixed. I think someone else had a similar issue.

As for animations, I think they are coded into the framework-res.apk. you could ask the dev if there are any other mods to that apk and if not just copy the same one from a stock rom over the modded one, reset permissions, reboot to recovery and clear dalvik cache, then reboot system.

When I say not a common problem I just mean that the majority of people don't seem to have it. I have no reason to doubt that there are others, was just saying I don't recall hearing of it. Sorry if it came out wrong.
You don't need to be rooted to flash with Odin, which is why I suggested it. Plus if its a problem that didn't occur untill the last update it leads me to think something didn't patch quite right, in which case Odin would probably be the only way to fix it.

On any CM10 based ROM, when I take a picture, it saves EXIF date as December 8, 2002. This wouldn't be bad except I use a lot of applications that create albums based on that date. Also, Dropbox reads this date instead of the filename or created date.
Does anybody have a solution for this? I've used different camera apps and it still does it.

This has been a problem since cm9 days. I think it was you that brought it up before and it basically fell on deaf ears. All I know is it doesn't do it in stock or Miui only CMx or anything based on CyanogenMod. I don't know if this has any connection but backups done directly in CWM have the same date code where as in Rom Manager it doesn't. Could the camera app and CWM be pulling from the same source?

Its the date thing plus Bluetooth, YouTube and reboot issues for me that keeps me going back to ICS. BTW I would like for you to try my latest tweaked version of v20f NitroTNT v 2 and see what you think. I believe I have finally solved the lag issue that has been an issue for our phones. Its a culmination of efforts from HO!NO!, lyfkevin and you. Let me know what you think. Also I modified the build.props file so no need to input access point info for it to work on AT&T. Enjoy.

cm10.1 is slowly getting better, ricardo had MHL working on 10.1 on his phone, it doesn't work on mine for some reason still trying to figure out why, that was always my main reason for staying on ICS, that and battery life, but the battery life is as good as ICS now, if they get mhl working i won't even need ics anymore. my bluetooth is working fine by the way i think it's fixed 100%, i can even use mine iwth a ps3 controller, car stereo etc without issues. my youtube also works great when i disable HW overlays in dev options (thanks mattman for that tip)
i have only seen mhl work on my phone with mattmans liquid nitro and stock ICS, i imagine it would work on your TNT rom also since its based on stock unless you changed something related to it
any solutions x this problem¿??¿'

Currently it is only released for testing purpose so don't expect it to be a daily driver. Please backup your whole system before testing! Due to the growing size of the system I only included necessary files in the Google Apps package. All missing Google Apps should be available through the Play Store.

Only observations are that it says no service on the lock screen and there are occasional very minor graphical glitches when a menu screen appears.
Otherwise, thanks for all your efforts
From what I can gather, hardware wise everything is working.
I've tested: Camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI.
Other than some graphical glitches it works great

I have the same experience. Updating a 4.2.2 ROM appears to have no ill effects.
The only thing I would add is TB can't backup - it complains about insufficient free space, although there is plenty.
The main issue is lack of root and the fact that the SuperSU .zip fails to flash on the Xoom.
edit: the solution to SuperSU .zip fail is to replace the "update-binary" and can be found in the SuperSU XDA thread.
I have Root
Using BaNkS Core Gapps I have 47.7MB free System.
I simply flashed ROM,Gapps and amended SuperSU in TWRP and the update goes smoothly.

Currently it is a pure Android build so it contains no other features that aren't available in stock Android system. I will add them back in future builds.
Currently the most noticeable problem is the graphic glitches showing on launching apps, dialogs and menus. I heard from other developers that it is related to the system base we used to create our builds. I will start from another base to see if it fixes the problem. After solving the problem I will start merging changes from my 4.2 builds.

Understand completely. After using for a few hours, this is definitely a step forward from 4.2.x. Noticeable improvements in responsiveness (must be the extra butter) and overall performance. Given that this hardware is 2 and a half years old, it's doing pretty well.

From my personal experience, yes. I've been using the lag fix app over the past month and it has been as noticeable change in performance (not as much as 4.3 itself, but noticeable). The first TRIM lasted about 2 weeks, and when it felt slower I ran it again. Hoping that Google's baked in TRIM will produce similar results on a ongoing basis.
