I'm trying to find Release Candidate 1 or 2 of Cyanogenmod 9 for the Lg Nitro HD (cm-9.0.0-RC1-p930.zip or cm-9.0.0-RC2-p930.zip). They are last versions of Cyanogenmod 9 that work with bluetooth keyboards, and this device drains battery quickly so the newer versions of Cyanogenmod aren't for me yet. Does anyone have or know where to get these files?

Do you still have the ZIP of RC1 or RC2? It would help me out if you uploaded it to Google Docs or someplace so I could get it. I don't need any of the newer stuff in Jelly Bean, and I used RC1 for close to a whole year before my previous device got damaged, it is actually quite stable.
Goo.im just has Cyanogenmod 10 Release Candidates.

They do have the last two or three nightlies which were based on the final release just some minor bug fixes. Look here: http://www.goo.im/devs/cm/p930/nightly
Go with the 09042012 nightly, it includes the bug fixes since cm9.1 and rc2 and amounts to the final release of cm9. This IS the most reliable and stable Cyanogen rom period.

I guess I should try building the "ics-release" branch(?) of Cyanogenmod from Github and see if that works.

What he said.. Each are varying with what works and what does not. I am running CM10 on my main phone, its not bug free but I dont have any huge major issues. CM9 improves on some things but not everything. The only ones I would personally call rock solid are the CM7 builds.
Want stable use phone daily for nav and tether also what's best way to backup my Rom now ?

You're not being very forthcoming with your setup. Assuming you are already rooted...You can back up apps with titanium backup. You can back up the rom with your recovery (cwm, twrp, ext, etc...). For nav, any rom will do. For tether, it depends on if you want to use the built in CM tether, or a market app. I believe the CM7 roms have the built in tether working. CM9 and CM10 may require the use of an app like barnacle for tethering. Stability is in the eye of the beholder, but generally the CM7 roms will be most stable since they have "better" kernel source.
My real suggestion...spend some time reading around the threads because you are the only one that can really decide what will work best for you.
Okay sorry I was not very specific but yes I am rooted on android 2.3!4 and I just want make sure I have a good alternative to stock maybe with better performance to keep my itch for a new phone away

CM10 unofficial
I have always been a CM fan from my OG Droid days.
For backing up I tend to allow google to keep my apps up to date after a fresh install. (I feel like google owns me at this point anyway) I dont use Titanium much now. I do back up my SMS messages though with SMS restore.
For the Inc 2 i think CM9 is fairly fast, has FFC, is mostly stable, and i WAS able to tether with the stock app. A good option
But I use CM10 consistently at this point because 1. It is visibly faster than CM9 and 2. I am now hooked on google now. Its pretty awesome even though i have seriously considered reverting back to CM9 for the FFC (google hangouts and skype video calls worked for me well)
I would check out aeroevan's v13 kernel and 20120821-unofficial for a good option.
Okay I now a lot about Android but I'm lost for a second now what is ffc ?
Sorry I got it now
Okay so yes I just need to have everything backed up with my stock Rom
Anyone ever used uniflash ?

CM
If you want absolute stability and everything to work (including proper audio and camera) I would recommend cm7.2
If newer features like google now matter more, I would use cm10, aeroevans build is getting very good. Some issues with audio, with some workarounds, there are details in dev forms here and on rootwiki.
I still use cm7.2 because the audio is perfect, which is important to me, and the battery life is far superior at this point.
Thank you sounds good!

I am not sure, but I know now that the GPS is not working. You have to lock with a different rom, then flash cm10 to get it to work. So I guess these things need to be fixed before it goes official
lol openvpn might be included when it becomes official.. cm9 never made it and cm10 is a ways awY and def wont have it until after we have jb source for our phones if ever

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, just ran into the GPS bug again...... :crying:
I'd run a stock ROM but I want to be able to set the permissions for each app. CM10 for our phones doesn't have this ability but you can run pdroid 2.0. Unless I'm misunderstanding CM10 is the only ROM pdroid 2.0 will work on.

I was able to get a GPS lock in CM10 by simply deleting the file gps.conf in the folder /system/etc/ . I rebooted after deleting the file and was able to get a lock with about 15 meter accuracy within 30 seconds.
On any CM10 based ROM, when I take a picture, it saves EXIF date as December 8, 2002. This wouldn't be bad except I use a lot of applications that create albums based on that date. Also, Dropbox reads this date instead of the filename or created date.
Does anybody have a solution for this? I've used different camera apps and it still does it.

This has been a problem since cm9 days. I think it was you that brought it up before and it basically fell on deaf ears. All I know is it doesn't do it in stock or Miui only CMx or anything based on CyanogenMod. I don't know if this has any connection but backups done directly in CWM have the same date code where as in Rom Manager it doesn't. Could the camera app and CWM be pulling from the same source?

Yeah, it was me who brought it up and yes, it was ignored. I even submitted a bug to CM and now I can't find the bug in their system. This bug is actually the only thing keeping me from permanently switching to any CM10.1 based ROM.

Its the date thing plus Bluetooth, YouTube and reboot issues for me that keeps me going back to ICS. BTW I would like for you to try my latest tweaked version of v20f NitroTNT v 2 and see what you think. I believe I have finally solved the lag issue that has been an issue for our phones. Its a culmination of efforts from HO!NO!, lyfkevin and you. Let me know what you think. Also I modified the build.props file so no need to input access point info for it to work on AT&T. Enjoy.
One more thing, wind kernel 3.6 is built in.

cm10.1 is slowly getting better, ricardo had MHL working on 10.1 on his phone, it doesn't work on mine for some reason still trying to figure out why, that was always my main reason for staying on ICS, that and battery life, but the battery life is as good as ICS now, if they get mhl working i won't even need ics anymore. my bluetooth is working fine by the way i think it's fixed 100%, i can even use mine iwth a ps3 controller, car stereo etc without issues. my youtube also works great when i disable HW overlays in dev options (thanks mattman for that tip)
i have only seen mhl work on my phone with mattmans liquid nitro and stock ICS, i imagine it would work on your TNT rom also since its based on stock unless you changed something related to it
any solutions x this problem¿??¿'
Try unbricking your phone. Before it would show 12/8/2002 and after unbrick the correct date and time show up in EXIF data. Using 10.1.2 stable with wind 2.5

I remember that I did some research on this a good while ago on this. If I remember correctly, the code was right, it was something to do with the lib files that can't be decompiled and tweaked.

@mattman86: Have you tried microslav_mm's cm10? I don't know if it's the 3.4 kernel or the LG camera app but dates work fine. The ROM does have its quirks, but very good overall, been running it for the last week no BSOD's or reboots.

Yes, I have. I've tried just about every CM10 based ROM on here and they all have the problem. The CM team won't even look at the buy when I submit it.
I followed the unbrick guide above and now the problem even exists on stock ICS.

I flashed this to my Virgin Mobile phone to get root and be on MD4, http://rwilco12.com/downloads.php?d...H-L710)/Stock ROMs/JB/MD4/Full Restore/Rooted
I wasn't able to use a custom recovery until this was released yesterday, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2391616
The other recoveries would flash just fine (I could install them but they couldn't read any storage) but they wouldn't mount anything. This recovery works perfectly.
I tried all the stable versions up until 10.1.0, some other guy with my same issue tried 10.0 and no dice.

I'm working again on geespr(mako) right now. I started building originally with geespr, but each time it came out severly borked. xbox gave me a potential fix, we'll see how this build turns out. With any luck, we'll have a geespr build by tomorrow morning to play with as well.
You are,,,, the man. Great job!
Still working on geespr. Had several build errors I need to take care of. Slowly but surely...
I'll have an updated ls970 build up later this evening though. They made a couple changes, added a few features. They added Slim Pie back in today

Geespr is being built with xb kernel. There are some git commits xboxfanj told me to edit though, see if that gets things working. With unedited source, the builds have all come out borked.
Once I get a good build completed for geespr, I'll hit you up. PM me your hangout info and I'll add you.

Hey guys! I love me some Carbon! I did notice though that wifi tether does not work. Id love to share a logcat but dont know how. Tether turns on and shows a signal but there is no transfer of data. I went back to mahdi and Ive got a connection again. One other thing I had to do with Carbon was update the apns for better service. Aside from that its got to be the smoothest KK build ive run to date.

Hmmm. In regards to apn's, I'm wondering what happened. It had the wrong ones to begin with, swapped in the right ones I thought. I'll check it out. As for tether, I'll have to look into it, see if we can get anything done. I haven't tested it myself, but never use the built in tether feature anyways. I'm hoping to have my geespr build up this evening(no promises though), maybe that'll have working tether for you.

I was not aware. I just tested it, I'm not having any issues. Pushed lots of buttons. What did you do to get it to FC?

New build up in the OP. Has some neat features added in, should have the right Sprint apn's. Let me know if you guys catch any bugs.

I'm not having any issues bud. I'm using DSP settings and running Pandora right now...no issues at all. Like Spleef said, try a clean install. Are you using the kernel that comes with Carbon or did you flash another one?
