Hey is there any update on the copy and paste locking up the phone and the test service crashing being fixed for good yet?
I didn't even know there was a bug like this. Care to elaborate? Rooted? Rom? What/When/how does it happen?

Guess I somehow missed where it was reported in the past....or just don't remember.
Not sure why it would happen, but it seems its not a commin issue. Its never happened to me.
Have you updated to either UVALH2 or UVALJ4? If updating doesn't fix it I would suggest using Odin to flash the firmware again.

As I said I am not rooted. Just do a google search and you will see it was a common issue after the latest update.

When I say not a common problem I just mean that the majority of people don't seem to have it. I have no reason to doubt that there are others, was just saying I don't recall hearing of it. Sorry if it came out wrong.
You don't need to be rooted to flash with Odin, which is why I suggested it. Plus if its a problem that didn't occur untill the last update it leads me to think something didn't patch quite right, in which case Odin would probably be the only way to fix it.

Did you reboot your phone in between your flashes and tests?
Wiped cache and dalvik twice, fixed uid mismatches in recovery yet?
Have you deleted any system applications?
I would upload the .apk, but I am downloading 2.59 right now. Once it is done downloading I will upload it. Maybe a corrupted package

You said you already flashed the apk and it didn't do anything.
Yeah I read wrong. Just noticed. And whatever I flashed a diff ROM. I might come back later to MikG, but I'm loving Classic look right here

Well you may want to redownload and flash MikG. Chances are there was just a code screw up that was causing the issue. MikG is a pretty well known ROM. I doubt it would've achieved such success if the contacts apk was constantly FC'ing.
Edit: There also may have been an apk that you downloaded that didnt play nice with the contacts apk. Check into that possibility as well.

They even pulled it from the play store! Ive got a copy I can give you, but cant get it till later. Maybe someone else can help w that? Check themes and apps section too btw.

Apple has been pressuring everyone to ditch flash for years. From what ive heard Jobs HATED Adobe which is why no apple product ever supported flash. If its not Apple tech or built specifically for and around apple, this is what they would do. Iphones dominance early on is what helped them succeed in killing flash.
If apple doesn't like something they will go to extremes to destroy it. They have to protect their one good idea per decade somehow I suppose!

It's there a way to keep flash on my phone. It's not updated but some people say it works fine.

I use boat browser from the android market, and still have flash. make sure you check
Flash plugin always on

Ya i checked settings and tried both user interfaces. I'm not that much of a noob. I tried 4 browsers. It works after installing the apk file i found online. I was really pissed off. The flash installer from Google play doesn't work. Search Google for flash player apk.

Is anybody getting this on FI03? It slows down my phone and won't go away till I reboot! Also I did do some searches and read a few topics about it on different devices. Seem to be common on ics roms. Some people suggest using supersu instead. Any feed back on supersu and if it has the same issue? Just trying to find out before making the switch.

I already updated the binaries just was waiting on some feedback before installing supersu. Going to go ahead and do it now. Hopefully it does the trick. I've already hard reset my phone twice and same problem.
Update: Just want to say getting rid of superuser and installing supersu fixed the problem. I guess after many years of running superuser it's time for me to retire it. I actually like the look of supersu better. Anyways just in case someone else has the issue in the future that's the fix.

Oh, sorry I just realized that, Im going to remove the link. I dont think one has been developed yet for the md5 update. I constantly try to monitor a bunch of threads and things though and update that thread daily, keep an eye on it and if someone posts the mod I will try and update it asap.
Please do keep that for others who haven't updated their S3 yet.
Also if you can please include a link for exchange security disabled email app.

I tried it..but it seems it isn't compatible. . I get email and exchange fc's. Even the old one I used says 4.1.x but doesn't seem to work with 4.1.2.

What kernel are you currently running on this ROM? Have you tried other music players? flashed any recent sound mods?
Unless she's tried something else, I believe she's using the kernel from klin1344. Looked to be pretty up to date.

Just AOSP I believe. It uses different source that isn't 100% open I don't think. Meaning CM and other teams have to work with what they are given, not enough for perfect. It may get 100% eventually but not right now.
Very interesting I tried to go back to stock rom because when I send picture it says phone not registered on network. Looks like I can only get back to rom that's on phone (liquidsmooth)and I did back up before doing anything.

The official firmware for the T999L probably won't be released until the first update.

Do you have the pro version? Free version won't allow you to access root. If not, ES Explorer and Root Browser are good free alternatives.
My favorite is Root Explorer, but its a paid app too.
Once you have this sorted, find the mms.apk you downloaded, long press and copy, then browse to /system/app.
(You may need to mount it as r/w. Press menu key or look for a switch/button on screen)
Rename the existing mms.apk to mms.apk.bak
Paste the new apk in the app folder. Long press the apk and change permissions to match all other apps in that folder.
Reboot and try sending a mms.

Oh and to restore a nandroid backup, you have to use the same recovery you created it with. I think you changed recoveries at some point, right?
If it was created with cwm, it can only be restored with cwm. Same for twrp.

+1 on that. The only sure way to convert backups specific to any recovery is to restore those backups on the very recovery they were originally created on then flash your desired recovery, reboot, boot back into recovery, and create a whole new backup of the one you just restored from the previous recovery. It may take some time, especially if you have a number of backups you're wanting to convert but it's well worth the time in having all your backups in one simple recovery folder.
Gonna try one of the ones you suggested and see what happens lol I changed my mind if I can get this rom where I want it then I'm staying with it lol with your help of course lol

Doesn't matter if you download by phone or pc but I'd use pc for best results. Also, download the latest gapos 20130301 from Goo or you can use updated inverted packages if you like. I personally recommend SlimRoms gapps.
