How do we get YouTube version 2.3.4 unto our phones???

You have to manually install it because supposedly it is not "compatible" with our phones even though 2.2.16 version work fine. Anyone have a download link?

I saw that, but it didn't show up in my apps yet.

google search for the file name then throw "download" in the search box after the name... you'll find it.

What's in this version:

I searched the forum to try and find an answer, with no luck. My main question is why can't we find the youtube app in the market, or update it without manually downloading an APK. I am running stock rom, no root, and I am on version 2.1.6. Clearly there has been several updates to the app since the version I have. I am just wondering why the newer versions are "incompatible" with our phone? I mean isn't this suppose to be the latest and greatest phone that Sprint has to offer?

Not working. Any ideas?
I installed this APK and it looks great, but it doesn't work....loads a video forever!! WEIRD. I rebooted and nothing. Any suggestions?

so i went to the setting>apps and cleared the cache and data and it got farther this time but the video never loaded.
i then uninstalled it and now my OG youtube player doesnt work. nice. LoL.

Ok I know there were like 3 different threads with prople wanting/needing the newest sprint tv app... instead of trying to find the different threads I am going to post it here... http://db.tt/cHv0mN60
If you have the problem that yours won't update then delete it from system/app and then install this as a normal .apk... no need to push to system/app.... you probably can but there is no need to as it installs just fine as a normal app

I need help I am on the cynamgen mtd rom and when I press a channel it looks for my location then it goes to the spinning circle. I have gone back to stock and did a titanium back up and I do a restore once on the cynamagen rom. If I install the above mentioned apk it says can't verify subscription. My sprint football works any suggestions please help would love to watch my NBA games.

I wish I could help you out man but I have the same problem with cm so I just restore a tw mtd rom when my heat are playing... sorry... you can try out the new sprint nba app though it works pretty well!

Its like saying "remind me"....If you tell GN "Please tell me" anything it will set an alarm...just like "remind me".

Okay I have read instructions for our devices and I'm kind of confused. Do we need to just download the. Apk file or the zip or both? Do we flash the zip in recovery and that's it? I read the instructions and I'm sorry if I'm a little slow but it just wasn't all that clear to me.

I used the M6 file from this post on that thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29756226&postcount=2856 It's working great so far. The only issue I've found is that you can't exit using the back button. You need to press the home button to exit.
Also, even though the instructions say its for CWM, it's not. You can flash it using any recovery.
Download the M6 file, copy it to your SD card, reboot into recovery and flash it, then reboot and poof you're done.

Just flash the new version.

Just flashed on FreeGSM R5, works flawless.

Turned my double press home button to voice dial and not a voice anymore, I didn't like it. Flashed my TWRP back up and I'm normal again. Good luck!

copy and paste bug

Hey is there any update on the copy and paste locking up the phone and the test service crashing being fixed for good yet?

I didn't even know there was a bug like this. Care to elaborate? Rooted? Rom? What/When/how does it happen?

Guess I somehow missed where it was reported in the past....or just don't remember.
Not sure why it would happen, but it seems its not a commin issue. Its never happened to me.
Have you updated to either UVALH2 or UVALJ4? If updating doesn't fix it I would suggest using Odin to flash the firmware again.

As I said I am not rooted. Just do a google search and you will see it was a common issue after the latest update.

When I say not a common problem I just mean that the majority of people don't seem to have it. I have no reason to doubt that there are others, was just saying I don't recall hearing of it. Sorry if it came out wrong.
You don't need to be rooted to flash with Odin, which is why I suggested it. Plus if its a problem that didn't occur untill the last update it leads me to think something didn't patch quite right, in which case Odin would probably be the only way to fix it.

Just install it like a normal APK, replace the existing S-Voice if prompted. May want to do a Nandroid prior to trying this. I have only tried this on JB, probably WILL NOT work on ICS!

It just installs like a normal APK. I;m not sure of all the new features, I know they optimized the UI, not sure what all they changed.

As far as I can see from playing 5 minutes with it, only the driving mode is different.
Makes sense since they mentionned on the launch of the S4 that the app was now called S Voice Drive (or something like that).

I'll rehost it for you on my own server - so we don't have to keep dancing with file sharing hosts..
I have unmetered bandwidth so we shouldn't have to worry about links dying and what not..

I pulled these from the system dump. I have a feeling that the AccuWeather app doesn't work on out phones. There was only the weather.apk and the weather deamon.apk.
Since it was a odexed ROM did that mean they had to have their odex file included and only worked on a odexed ROM ?
