If you have the problem that yours won't update then delete it from system/app and then install this as a normal .apk... no need to push to system/app.... you probably can but there is no need to as it installs just fine as a normal app

I need help I am on the cynamgen mtd rom and when I press a channel it looks for my location then it goes to the spinning circle. I have gone back to stock and did a titanium back up and I do a restore once on the cynamagen rom. If I install the above mentioned apk it says can't verify subscription. My sprint football works any suggestions please help would love to watch my NBA games.

I wish I could help you out man but I have the same problem with cm so I just restore a tw mtd rom when my heat are playing... sorry... you can try out the new sprint nba app though it works pretty well!

I believe this is the HC music app. I don't recall if it installs, or if you need to drop it in your /system/app folder. I want to say, if memory serves me correctly, that it just installed like a normal app. Put it on your sd card, use Astro to navigate to it, click on it, and see if it'll install.

Got another dilemma ... the hc music app keeps force closing after flashing the update zip file. Do any of y'all have a fix on this? I installed the apk first. Then flashed the hcmusicupdate.zip and it now FC upon opening.

Use the program Root Explorer and go to system/app press the Mount R/W button on the top right. Then scroll down to the stick music apk (the one with the headphones) long press it, then hit delete. The HC music player will become your default player. You may have to reboot to apply the changes. Note that every time you flash a new CM rom, including nightlies, you'll have to delete the stock music app as it gets restored each time.

Tried it and got the regular search box.. some reason on eh17 it didn't even let me install the apk even after I deleted from titan backup and rebooted
I think this is the one you want. Its almost a smoky black transparent one. I extracted it from White Shadow theme.. http://db.tt/GtgIki6. Make sure you are on Deodexed version of EH17. I don't think you will need to push it with a file manager.

Not sure if that's the one either.. it doesn't lok like any other search boxes I've seen.. its like a glossy black black and thinner.. I tried dling that link but it crashed my browser each time and when it did go through it wouldn't install at all even after removing the stock.. now gotta do a restore cause the search box isn't in sync wth the keypad. I actually have to click on the browser instead of just typing.. thanks anyways though

I searched the forum to try and find an answer, with no luck. My main question is why can't we find the youtube app in the market, or update it without manually downloading an APK. I am running stock rom, no root, and I am on version 2.1.6. Clearly there has been several updates to the app since the version I have. I am just wondering why the newer versions are "incompatible" with our phone? I mean isn't this suppose to be the latest and greatest phone that Sprint has to offer?

Its like saying "remind me"....If you tell GN "Please tell me" anything it will set an alarm...just like "remind me".
Okay I have read instructions for our devices and I'm kind of confused. Do we need to just download the. Apk file or the zip or both? Do we flash the zip in recovery and that's it? I read the instructions and I'm sorry if I'm a little slow but it just wasn't all that clear to me.

I used the M6 file from this post on that thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29756226&postcount=2856 It's working great so far. The only issue I've found is that you can't exit using the back button. You need to press the home button to exit.
Also, even though the instructions say its for CWM, it's not. You can flash it using any recovery.
Download the M6 file, copy it to your SD card, reboot into recovery and flash it, then reboot and poof you're done.

Turned my double press home button to voice dial and not a voice anymore, I didn't like it. Flashed my TWRP back up and I'm normal again. Good luck!

It just installs like a normal APK. I;m not sure of all the new features, I know they optimized the UI, not sure what all they changed.

As far as I can see from playing 5 minutes with it, only the driving mode is different.
Makes sense since they mentionned on the launch of the S4 that the app was now called S Voice Drive (or something like that).
I'll rehost it for you on my own server - so we don't have to keep dancing with file sharing hosts..

I pulled these from the system dump. I have a feeling that the AccuWeather app doesn't work on out phones. There was only the weather.apk and the weather deamon.apk.
Since it was a odexed ROM did that mean they had to have their odex file included and only worked on a odexed ROM ?
