Where to learn how to develop

I'm wanting to learn how to develop apps for wp7. Where should I learn and begin to start this venture. I guess instead of whining about the stuff marketplace doesn't have I will work on it myself and publish it in the marketplace.

This is great but you'll need a lt of motivation to go through it all on your own.
Good luck

[Q] is there a way to get the Apple market?

On the iPhone 4 they can get the Android market is there a way we can get Apples?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Not a chance.
Why do you think? Just because of the way they're compressed or what?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
No... Why would you do this anyway? its not like iPhone apps run on Android...
Then how did Apple run Android apps?.. Anyways i don't care so much just jealous they have our market

Iphone running android apps? Evidence please.

I'd like to see where you're seeing this. Because it just isn't... possible.
I don't know if they're running it but those who jailbreak can get our market, source = friend

are you taking about the Android theme for iPhone?
I have a friend who has an app store but the app icon looks like the Android market.

Okay i looked it up, once you jailbreak you install openiboot which allows iPhones to install Android os.. Kinda like how mac can run windows
Just what i read dunno if it's legit but i suppose that's what my friend meant

If you jailbreak you get Cydia, a store for jailbreak-specific apps.
They don't get the Android Market.
And I'm glad your friend is a solid source on the matter...
This intrigued me so I looked it up and apparently it is true (if this source can be believed)... http://www.cultofmac.com/68731/you-can-now-install-android-on-your-iphone-entirely-through-cydia/
Hmmmm... I HATE APPLE but if this is true at all it is pretty cool...
See here as well... http://www.androidoniphone.com/
So the question now is can we dual boot? That is if this works..

I honestly dont think so. IF this is true then the reason this can be done is because Android is "open source". Apple's iOS is NOT open source so there would be all kinds of licensing issues and knowing Apple... they would sue EVERYONE for even THINKING about doing it... LOL...
GOD I HATE APPLE!!!
Not possible. Whatsoever. Apple is closed source. Sure a cydia theme can replicate the android market, but that's about the extent.

I guess, i thought it was far fetched but one can dream.. Lol

The 2nd link in my post is for a site that guarantees that you will DUAL BOOT iOS and Android. This does not seem to be a theme... They even claim that Flash will work which would be impossible on an iPHONE with just a Cydia theme on it...
Anyone here have an iPHONE and 30 bucks to try this and see what its all about?
---------- Post added at 06:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:27 PM ----------
So apparently androidoniphone.com is a scam BUT... There IS an open source project by idroid where they have been able to run android naively on the iphone... See here...
http://coburndomain.org/index.php/2011/04/idroid-developers-androidoniphone-com-scam-victim/
And here is a link to the REAL iDroid Project wiki... http://idroidproject.org/
Guess this isnt so far fetched after all...

iOS is closed source, you'd never be able to make it work on an Android device.

Why would you dream about getting iOS on an Android phone? If you dream about that, go buy an iPhone and leave this forum

That link is Android running on an iPhone. Android is open source, so yes I'm sure that's possible, but that's not what I said...
I said you'll never run iOS on an Android device. Because iOS is closed source.

I think - judging from title - he wants to know whether iOS could be ported over to WP7 devices. If so: no, not possible.
Exactly thats what i am asking for can iOS be ported to wp7 devices if no can you provide reasons?

IOS is compiles for specific hardware, unless you get an idevice running wp7 natively there's no hope it will be ported to the current wp7 handsets.

That project is called JoyOS (or clone iOS) and I've seen it run on mostly Gingerbread phones.
In my opinion, it's pointless to design your phone like iOS and it's a waste of buying an android instead of iPhone.
But if you want to transform your phone you can use these
Espier Launcer 7 - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.espier.launcherg
Other Espier iOS themed apps like lockscreen, browser, notification - https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Espier+Workshop
