Hi, I've been changing few rom's in one year but now suddenly i started t notice that my battery life is very little! I've installed CyanogenMod 10.1 and root'ed my phone. BatteryCalibration app shows that my phone current charge: 100%, 4mV when it should be ~4000mV or smthng like that...
Please help me to fix this problem i need my phone for work... I guess it all started when i installed rom when phone battry was dying...
New symptom!
New symptom! When i connect phone to charge it always shows charging (0%)
changing the battery properties can really damage your battery and unfortunatly this might be permanent. so the best solution is to buy a new one

Hello Members!
I have a rather odd problem my second xperia play rooted with stock rom starts to behave strange.
I had it repaired since the connector between the screen broke (seems a common play problem).
Now to the problem my xperia play is starting to charge very fast and discharches at very fast speed aswell.
I didn't use the play for 2 months since the repair center didn't have the connector in stock.
I didn't send my battery to them because I rooted the device and if they decided not to repair it I needed to pay 40 euros to get the device unrepaired back. So yea I just sent the play withouth a battery if there was a chance they didn't want to repair it I still had a spare battery.
But they repaired my rooted device !
Anyway the battery stayed dormant for 2 months aproxx. Since yesterday I have my second play back and this problem is occuring.
Another strange thing is when I put the other battery in my play and try to charge it there the device won't charge at all
The led is on but the battery indicator doesn't show the charging icon. The other battery doesn't have this problem it behaves the same on both devices and charges normally and discharges normally aswell
Did the battery die on me ? Would wiping battery stats help ? or anything else I can try?
I assume that the battery is giving the phones wrong readings but then again doesn't explain why the other play behaves diffrently so I am very confused of course.
At the moment I discharged the battery to 0% and charging it way back up to 100%
Edit in less then one hour the battery has gone from 0 to 62%
The strange thing is my other unrooted play doesn't want to charge the battery ( led on that it charges indicator on upper right corner not)
Kind regards
Edit now testing a full discharge fired up a game with wifi on to see if the battery is giving wrong readings.
Problem still the same though when I put it in the other play charging icon not showing.
Will try to delete battery stats after this and see if this works
Any other help is appriciated
Ok things I tried so far
Full charge/discharge = did not help
Wiping battery stats = did not help
Reflashing rom + wiping battery stats = did not help.
Still same problem battery charges in old xperia play but not in new xperia play.
Really no one else that has tips ?
Kind Regards
Probably Hardware problem.
Looks like overclocked battery.
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
You cant overclock the battery imo didnt overclock develice either

Hello guYz,
I'm a new HTC One X user...
I have recently bought the phone(2 days)..
Since yesterday I've kept the phone charging for continuous 6hrs while I was in sleep and I noticed that the battery was only 65% after I woke up!
Ive installed some battery managing apps and found that my phone was charging @ only 8.3%/hour
Is this common??
I have'nt noticed anything such with Wildfire S and Desire U which were my previous phones..(I dont know if its because of their small batteries)
But I'm so worried...Battery Drain is normal...but charging is abnormal...
Help me out guys...Thanks in advance
Any sort of reply would be helpful!

That's not normal at all...
My HOX needs about 4-5 hours 0 to 100...
It MIGHT be the chargers fault... Try getting a new one, and using a different cable as well...
I've also faced similar issue twice or thrice,
it charged like a snail or turtle, whichever u like
like just 5% in 50 minutes, battery became say 19% and after reboot, clearing battery stats, it went ~50%!
Means, it charges properly, but doesn't show in battery percentage, has something to do with the battery stats only
so, if u have unlocked and installed cwm, then just reboot, wipe battery stats and reboot again!
If not, just go to settings>power>turn of FAST BOOT and turn off the phone.
Let it stay for 1 or 2 minutes and power it on, it should show proper battery %age which has been actually done.
Thanks for the replies mates...Actually changing the charger helped me...that too a SAMSUNG charger!
Donno whats wrong with the HTC one...anyways Thanks for your help!
So whats the common charging rate?
30%/hour??

I have a strange problem. The battery on my Pantech Burst Slimbean running 3.1.0 Final descends directly load from 36% to 29% and then the phone turns off and only turns on when I plug in the charger.
What's going on?
Can someone help me with this problem?
It's probably the battery. Even if you think it's "fully charged", batteries wear out.
I've had this happen before.

Had the same problem. It got solved when I got a new battery.
It Could very well be the battery.
Well, i think you should calibrate your battery and see if it works.
If it does not, please take a look at your battery to see if it got swollen.
I have an Galaxy S4, I used it for round 5 months with rom cook, after a while the phone started to switch off even when I got 90% of battery.I tried to reflash the rom and calibrate blah blah blah but It turned out that my battery got swollen and i had to purchase a new one.
So good luck! I hope yours is ok !
I Have a SGS2 and i have the exact problem even on two new batteries? one came with the phone got swollen and didnt held a charge. new one took it for about 1 week and started shutting off at 40% purchased another battery but it too have the problem? Please help
Dear xda community,
my problem is that my battery level says my battery is charged to 4432 mAh (checked via couple of battery calibration apps), interesting thing is, that the max capacity of my original battery pack is only 3000 mAh
Things that may occured by this is, that my phone reboots frequently if i plug it off the charger. It does this in a way which makes it for me unusable, because it did not even load further than the lg logo in the bootloader, only way to fix it up again is to plug the charger back in. I tried flashing a new rom, an older rom (where these problems never came up) and also flashing the latest kernel.
I'm currently running on cm-13.0-20160309-NIGHTLY-d855.
Hope somebody can identify the problem and help me out
Best wishes,
LoCk :3
dude ur battery is gone.i had the same problem and the only fix is new battery.so go get a new one ok,it will solve ur problem i guaranty u that.
Short story: I bought a S4 Mini GT-I9195 second hand and the battery meter goes up and down like crazy. Thought that flashing Android 4.2.2 will solve this but couldn't do it (auth error in Odin). Rooting seems soo complicated.
Question: Is it possible that the battery meter issue will be fixed if I root/flash a different ROM?
Long story:
I had in the past a device with Android 4.4.2 (Allview brand) and the battery would drop many percentage points in seconds after several hours/days of what seemed to be normal usage. Now, the same happens with S4 Mini, and this made me believe there's a possibility I can make this phone usable by downgrading to KitKat, since I already have a device with 4.2.2 that works great regarding battery readings.
In more details, the issue is that the battery lasts up to one week if I am not touching the phone. The chart (GSam Battery Meter) shows a steady level decrease. When I use the phone however, there comes a moment (ususally around 40%, but not necessarily) when the battery level drops with 1% every 10 seconds.
It can go from 20-30% to 0% in minutes. After I plug the phone, the battery starts charging from 30-40%.
After unplugging at 100%, usually it goes straight away to about 90%.
I have tried already to clear cache, format the battery, so on. I have also tried to flash 4.2.2 with Odin, but it won't take any other ROM then the latest.
If rooting, and risking to brick the thing, wouldn't do anything to solve this issue, I may be better selling as it is, while it is still working at least. Otherwise, I can't use this phone!
Thank you for your help!
I was having same issue. Tried many things (calibrating battery, changing rom and kernel, flashing different stock roms via odin). But none of them solved this issue.
Changed my battery. Bought new battery(Deji). I don't have this issue anymore.

Yes, as umuturunc says, sounds like you need a new battery.
