Running DC 3.1.2 and a netarchy's 5 pt multi touch/fps fix kernel, Paid version of titanium backup.
I've fixed permissions
verified backups
installed app, apps + data, apps + system data
When i attempt to restore any app i've backed up on the sd card via titanium backup it wont restore them. It goes through, acts like it installed but when i reboot the phone and do the above mentioned things it just doesnt show up...
I should mentioned i came from stock rooted EVO 4G 1.3x ROM
Anyone ever heard of this problem before?
bump, anyone?
ANother thing its now doing is i was able to get the apps to show up in market, however they show as installed... until i click on the app then it asks me to install it.
Friggin weird.
anyone at all?
That's a weird one. I've been using Titanium quite a bit lately with no problems. You might just have to wipe and start over. Have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling Titanium? Its also possible there's a problem with your SD card. Do you have another one you could test with?
Did you go into settings / applications and put a check in the unknown sources box?
.....
Frank...
yes unknown sources is checked.
SD card as far as i know has no problems, ill try with a new one.
Thanks for the info.
im having the same problem. i have unknown sources checked, reflashed a couple times, and have even re-rooted. it works perfectly in both fresh and OMJ, but DC just fails. if you install the apps manually and then do a restore of app+data, it will restore the data properly, but it fails when you try to install from the backup.

Same problem here...Fresh, Calkulin's EviO, Baked Snack, and Toasted Delight ROMs have all been able to restore just fine using Titanium Backup.
It's too bad...I really wanted to try DCs ROM, but I'm not gonna go through installing all my missing apps and setting up all the screens again.
Has anyone found a way to fix this yet?

Just make a nandroid backup, wipe, and try out DC 3.2.3 yourself. 99% chance everything will be fine.

The problem isn't loading the ROM. I'm able to install DC after doing a full wipe...it seems to be the only ROM that causes problem when trying to do a full Titanium Backup restore.
My wifi wasn't working (from months ago before I even rooted) but wiping then installing this rom fixed it... However when I go back into recovery and flash A2SD then reboot, it restores some of my apps automatically (from Titanium Backup probably?) and my wifi is broke again?
Anything I can do?
So here is the story:
I have a Galaxy S3 with Rogers (AT&T). I decided to root my phone which I did successfully using OSX terminal and installed goo manager as the rom manager and recovery. I installed SU and Titanium backup to get ready to flash. Backed up all my system + app data and searched for a rom. The first rom I flashed was 747 greystone. Once I flashed the rom, I restored the backup from Titanium and I believe I selected to restore all, system backup included. I later on learned that I ****ed up by doing so. Anyways, since I flashed that rom my GPS hasnt worked at all. I restored my nandroid backup, which I did before flashing greystone and nothing. I flashed team sonic's resurrection and nothing. Now I flashed Rogers (my provider) stock rom and still I can't get my stupid GPS to go on. On top of that today 4.1.1 finally came out for my phone and after the update the GPS wont work still. What else can I do? Please help me!!!!

This fixed my GPS issue as well.

I know it's not recommended to restore system data when flashing to a different rom, but what if I'm just upgrading to a newer version of the same rom (newest nightly build)?

It would depend on what's been changed...
Take a backup and try it. Be sure to restore data, not system apps.
I'm also using TB a lot and trying here and there new ROMs. As long as you restore "Data only" you shouldn't have any problems. At least I didn't until now. Restoring the APP that way - I wouldn't recommend. I got issues very often like unmotivated reboots or APP just stops working after a while and so on. I would recommend do use APP Backup & Restore in combination with TB. After installing a new version of a ROM (mostly I do full-wipe) you can select the Apps you want to restore and they are running the installation process ! (so not just a recover). When I'm done with that I use TB to restore Data only. Didn't have any issues until now with that way. Hope that helps.
Hi guys,
I've got a little problem! But at first some facts:
This is what I've flashed before: the latest release of stock based KK- Rom Android Now HD
My new rom was the CM based BlissPop 2.3
On my KK Rom I backed up all of my Apps/Data with Titanium Backup. After flashing the BlissPop Rom I restored all Apps (no system apps) and data. So far so good: all apps were restored and worked. But now the issue: not all data were restored. Some apps didn't had the original data, for example profiles of games were missed etc.
U got any clue or hint whats the problem is there or how to fix it? Thx in advance!
