LG Tone + - Question. - Galaxy S III Accessories

I have one and was wondering if both sides of the neck band is to vibrate when I get a notification. Only one side does.
Just curious.
Other than that, I wish Samsung made one like it. I love this thing.

Where's the EVO's weakspot?

Did everyone watch Apple's press conference today? If not it's available on engadget:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/16/live-from-apples-iphone-4-press-conference/?sort=newest&refresh=0
So since every smartphone has a weakspot I'd like to know where the EVO's weakspot is. Has anyone found it? Maybe Apple doesn't think the EVO is a smartphone, therefore it has not weakspot?
update:
Just to be clear, "weakspot" is referring to a way to hold the phone to get the signal strength to go down.
I heard if you stuff it in your rectum, you drop more calls.

If you cup the top of Evo with your hand, Evo will lose signal
Its near the top of the back of the phone. Try covering it with you hand (the camera, leds, speaker area)
I do this and drop 2 bars immediately
It is towards the top. Im kinda surprised that any phones have side antennas when the phone is gripped from the sides
After scratching the damn thing today, I'd say the jutting 8MP camera in the back of the bloody thing.
Slightly marred the sweet red paint job...guessing they opted for aluminum versus stainless steel. Boo.
haha if i hold a evo in a completely unnatural way cupping the top of the phone while holding the bottom with my other hand for stability, it drops two bars, but not the call....proof the iphone 4 design is flawless.....what a BS press conference
Don't act like you weren't the one trying it out!

I must have a sprint tower above my head cause I can't get the signal strength bars to budge from full no matter how I hold it.

I don't have a weakspot... unless my Innocase is preventing me from finding it. No matter how I hold the phone I have the same bars.
Yea, Apple only showed the few newer phones that had the drop in bars when held the same way as iPhone 4.
Is this good design by HTC to have it near the top where you never hold it naturally? Or just the way it worked out? Since everyone in the industry is fighting this problem as Jobs said, wouldn't they develop the phone so the antenna would not get blocked or attenuated when held naturally?
I don't know enough about that kind of engineering stuff, just some things I have been wondering. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
Actually in the manual somewhere it tells you where to avoid covering the phone. If I remember correctly it's by the volume rocker?

Im going to say it was a good design move by HTC. The Bold 9700, Eris, and Omnia II (the three phones he tested signals with) were all released last year. He didn't make references to the iPhone4's more direct competitors (HD2, Incredible, Evo, Droid X) because they don't have this problem.
I covered the phone up all sorts of ways, sans the rectum thing, and the best I could get it to do was drop a bar on the WiFi strength. Network coverage was never phased?
The best way to take an Evo out quick is a pointed object real quick to the center of the screen. That's definitely the Evo's weak spot.

Skyrocket cases?

Are cases and batteries interchangeable between the Hercules and Skyrocket? The phone looks exactly the same
Does anyone have both to compare? If they're physically the same then the cases will fit both.

This is incorrect. The rear speaker is on the opposite side of ours. So the cases may fit but the speaker will be muffled due to being blocked.

this is the biggest advantage of owning an iphone. It doesn't matter which carrier you use accessories will work on any of them. the skyrocket is the same exact phone (ignoring LTE) except the placement of the speaker? that is just stupid. I hope htc and samsung learn that companies will be more likely to give their products a better selection of accessories when their products reach more people. Samsung has 5 different galaxy sIIs. Thats crazy.
Probably the only advantage LOL

I'm wondering if this would work too ... the SGP Neo Hybrid cases look pretty sweet. Even if the speaker is on the other side it would work well.
I wonder if they are going to make a T-Mobile/Telus version of the case??
EDIT: After checking it out, the headphone and second mic hole on the top are on the opposite sides as well ... so that sucks. I really hope they make another version.
Was thinking the same thing noticing that since it's on AT&T, they will be getting an Otterbox. Looking forward to the Seidio Active case and holster, though.

They are shaped slightly different, battery doors are completely different, speaker is on the other side. Your a mod bro, come on! (its a playful tone. I know you can't hear me but I'm just joshin you). But seriously, the cases wont work, the skyrocket is *slightly* thicker too. Look at go to "Samsung phones" and look at the dimensions (not to mention pics), its .1mm thicker. If you look at the pics side by side (I am as I type) the t989 is much more rounded where the skyrocket is more squared off like the i9100.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 Book Cover (by Samsung)

I just received my Galaxy Tab 10.1 Book Cover today and after couple of hours I can say that I'm pretty happy with it.
The most important reason why I bought that case over the other one (http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=544839), that I was thinking of buying, was that the Book Cover case does not add extra bulk.
I found the case with a very good discount on amazon. It costed £27.95, which is very good price for such quality product. Now the price is much higher on amazon.
On my case there are actually two differences from the original one that I watched a lot of reviews (you can see on my last photo):
1. There is an opening for the power button. Probably this is a good feature, because I found that some people are complaining about powering up and down the tablet by accident when the case closed.
2. The opening for the audio 3.5mm headphone jack is a little bit different. On my case if I plug my headphones when the cover is closed, I can open fully the case while the headphones are still plugged in.
nice, wish mine had that stuff lol

The one he has is the most updated model. I bought one when I first got the Galaxy Tab. The only difference that I can see is that it has a hole for the power button and a redesigned headphone jack hole. The one I have doesn't have a power button hole and I can't open the case with the headphones in. They look exactly the same though, Samsung and Galaxy Tab logos are in the same place, it folds the same way, etc.

On amazon were posted images from the original case. There was no hole for the power buttom and no updated hole for the headphones. So I think, if you want to know if its the new one, you should contact the seller and ask. He should be able to check without opening the packaging because its transparent.
Hope this helps...

Hey folks!
So, I'm willing to buy this case, but would like to ask you: is it tight enough?
As for what I can see in the pictures, there are just four "parts" holding the tablet in the corners, so... is it tight enough? I mean for daily use, no extreme moves and stuff...
Thanks!

wouldn't they just replace it with the exact same model?
BTW, I talked my wife into taking my black one over the weekend, and grabbed a white one with her upgrade....they are really sharp!!
I still don't understand all of the white hype. I think the black looks cleaner, sexier... The white one looks "toyish" to me. I wonder if its just because they are a newer model that people are more drawn to them?
the aluminum trim around the outside of the case gives it a really nice contrast; plus, I put a Wrapsol on the phone, and, the capactive lights on the bottom, and the notification light on the top, have a really nice erie "glow" to them now..
I had a white Evo as well; I guess I just like to have something a bit different..

Yeah, I guess your right... I'll have to admit, before I saw the light I used to have a white iphone, I liked it at the time. Maybe that is why I dislike the white now, maybe the white for me has some kind of subconscious apple/iphone association thing.
plus, in my house, my wife has the same phone, so it makes it easier if we have different colors to keep track of who's phone is where!
Frankly, if they had a blue or red one, I would probably like those too!

Blue and Red... Now there's an idea
I was looking at the Galaxy note this weekend, and they have a blue one which looked really nice!
I had to bring my phone in for warranty reasons and asked since they have to give me a new one could it be the white one they said absolutely not has to be the same color. Got me mad too considering they are both the same damn thing same price and everything. So to answer your question, no they will not.

Official LG Quick Cover

Got my nexus today and the official quick cover I ordered came with it too, even though the order indicated part dispatch. I had assumed this meant the case had been delayed.
Have to say it is a very nice case, feels great, nice snug fit and it is really thin. While it is still bedding in the front flap is lifting slightly when closed (see pic) but I am sure this will give a bit in the next few day's.
Not worth £35!!!!! But it is a nice case. If the spigen one is as nicely made (seem to be looking at pics and reviews) then it will make them a bargain
Nice, but I REALLY miss the Nexus sign from the back...

You had me going there for a moment - I had to reach all the way past my keyboard at work to test your theory.
Phew, I am not an idiot after all, although most of my daily actions would prove otherwise, LGoogle have forgotten to poke a hole in their case!
I will have to ring them and see if they can mail me a hole upgrade? If the makers of polo mints can remember to put holes in their products, I don't see why LGoogle can't
What do you think Google will charge me for postage on a hole?
I really like it but to bad the nexus logo on the back is lost
Id love to get this but losing the nexus logo is a no go for me. I think ill just buy a real bumper.
Does that mean that the front flap isn't magnetized? I'd heard it was and that when you open it, it unlocks your screen.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I have the case as well myself. The flap IS magnetised. The magnet is actually located above the volume buttons, so that when closed the magnet touches the screen glass over the volume buttons.
And I agree, while the case is nice, it definitely isn't worth £35, more like £15 and that's pushing it.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Ok...how did you guys get the case? When I look in the Google Play store, it says "coming soon". I'm in Canada (eh?) and never have any issue purchasing other stuff. I got the white Nexus 5 and thought the white flipcase would look SIC!!!
I received my Quick Cover with my Nexus 5 on Monday. First time I have used a case like this and I must say I am impressed. It feels premium (perhaps not £35 premium) and does not add as much bulk to the phone as I expected.
I for one am glad it has no notification light hole as the light used to wake me in the night on my bedside table.
One question to any other owners, is the rear too thick for wireless charging to work?

What happens if the flap is closed, you receive an incoming call and open the flap? Does that automatically answer the call? What happens to a call when you close the flap?

Opening the flip just turns on the screen. All it does is it saves your pressing the power button. You still have to swipe to unlock if you have it turned on, still have to enter your unlock code etc. When there's an incoming call, after opening the flip you still have to swipe to answer/reject/silence the call. And closing the flip doesn't end calls either, it just turns off the display, or the speaker hole on the flip would be pointless.
