I just received my Galaxy Tab 10.1 Book Cover today and after couple of hours I can say that I'm pretty happy with it.
The most important reason why I bought that case over the other one (http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=544839), that I was thinking of buying, was that the Book Cover case does not add extra bulk.
I found the case with a very good discount on amazon. It costed £27.95, which is very good price for such quality product. Now the price is much higher on amazon.
On my case there are actually two differences from the original one that I watched a lot of reviews (you can see on my last photo):
1. There is an opening for the power button. Probably this is a good feature, because I found that some people are complaining about powering up and down the tablet by accident when the case closed.
2. The opening for the audio 3.5mm headphone jack is a little bit different. On my case if I plug my headphones when the cover is closed, I can open fully the case while the headphones are still plugged in.
nice, wish mine had that stuff lol
Hey, I believe Samsung updated their design on this one!
I was looking to purchase this new one but couldn't find it anywhere here in U.S.
I found two items that have the same name. Which one is this updated model?
EFC-1B1NBEGSTA or EFC-1B1NBECXAR
I would like a link if anyone haw found this in the US

The one he has is the most updated model. I bought one when I first got the Galaxy Tab. The only difference that I can see is that it has a hole for the power button and a redesigned headphone jack hole. The one I have doesn't have a power button hole and I can't open the case with the headphones in. They look exactly the same though, Samsung and Galaxy Tab logos are in the same place, it folds the same way, etc.

On amazon were posted images from the original case. There was no hole for the power buttom and no updated hole for the headphones. So I think, if you want to know if its the new one, you should contact the seller and ask. He should be able to check without opening the packaging because its transparent.
Hope this helps...

After seeing your post I went ahead and payed the ridiculously high $59.99 for the case. But it is indeed the new redesigned case bought straight through the Samsung website, in case anyone else would like to go the same route
Hey folks!
So, I'm willing to buy this case, but would like to ask you: is it tight enough?
As for what I can see in the pictures, there are just four "parts" holding the tablet in the corners, so... is it tight enough? I mean for daily use, no extreme moves and stuff...
Thanks!

Any news on Brodit holders for the Galaxy S2?
Can't seem to find anything on DSL Developments (who I normally use). Timescales? or are we still looking at weeks yet. Might have to find a temporary alternative in the short term.
Why not email [email protected]? They are usually very helpful.

I'm using the passive HTC HD2 cradle. It's fits perfect at the bottom but a little bit of movement at the top where the phone is thinner. It's not loose enough it rattles or moves when you touch the screen. Volume and power buttons aren't blocked.
Might be easier and cheaper to find a used or new HD2 holder.
There may even be enough space to add a very thin skin, which is what I'll add if I can find a nice one.
Thanks will look into it.

Great to know, I currently have a HD2 with Brodit passive holder, and will receive my Galaxy S II tomorrow
I'll see if it's the same for me too...
I have an adjustable iPhone 3GS passive Brodit mount (it expands to use with gel type cases). I have a cheapo gel case on my SGII and it works fine, solid as a rock.

Okay so here's what I've done: on each side of my passive holder, I've put a few centimeters of black adhesive tape. It's the kind of heavy one, which you can buy in a hardware store...
Now the Galaxy S 2 is completely stable in a HD2 Brodit passive holder!

Nice tip there. However, I might pick up one the offical cases from P4U this week. It looks like there may be enough room for the phone to fit the holder with the case on.

Just to let you know, on Friday dsldevelopments has shipped my brodit passive holder, I should get it this week
I installed my Brodit SII-holder last Saturday. Fits perfectly. I had it pre-ordered to be one of the first to have it
I have the passive one, I use separate wires for power-in and audio-out.
I have decided to use it with a Kuda console, because that looks better in my car.
Now all I need to do is fill my SD-card with audio and I can enjoy my car-rides even better

Just purchased this direct from korea, it's call the alpina 2 edition jelly wallet case. Cost me approximate USD 35.5 inclusive of shipping.
This case is a combined wallet and jelly/ptu case in one, the case wallet and case is held together with velcro, you can buy this for other phones, the only differences is the size of the wallet and the jelly/ptu case that comes with it, some sellers will also throw in 1-2 screen protectors.
It's available in 7 colours.
Thanks for the recommendation, this casing really looks nice. I would like to purchase it but it's all in Korean and i don't know which option to choose...and from what i see it there isn't a Galaxy Nexus option casing? I only see Galaxy SII and the Note being the latest one

I don't use IE, but I tried all browsers though. Firefox, Chrome and IE. But whenever I press the pay button it just does nothing. And when I press it again a message pops out stating "Order is processing, please wait". When there is no pop out window or anything.
There is only 1 kind of paypal option available...called Paypal express. I don't see any option to pay using the normal paypal.
Man I think i will just wait a few more days and try again. Thanks for all of the help though, you've been really helpful!
Which choice would I use in the 2nd drop down to get the red/black one?
How does the included jelly case secure to the inside of the wallet.....just velcro? Or is there some sort of more secure holster?

The second drop down labelled 02블랙/레드(5000won), the jelly is held by velcro, and is pretty strong, the only problem with the jelly, is was the headphone socket does not work properly, you need to make the hole bigger, I used my own jelly instead, put in a mercury tpu instead, you can use this wallet with any other phone.
The velcro stuck on the jelly is pretty strong, if you do remove the velcro and use it with a different case, dont use the cheap double sided tape, it wont hold and will comes off if you separate the jelly/wallet for normal use, just use a better quality double sided tape, the carpet type double sided tape, i've used a perfessional type which has a inside nylon lined, but remember to clean off excess tape using alcohol before putting the new tape on for better finished.
the standard jelly is a black one, but i used a lime/green to match the case, as you can see the photo below. When i do find some green velcro it will replace the black, i will also put a second piece to the bottom for a more secure fit, although with just one it will not come loose.
this looks great, maybe I'm gonna buy this one.
Is there a purple one? If so, which option is it?

One quick question - the pictures of this with the SGN in semi-horizontal position show the table with the screen upside down. Can you flip the SGN so that the screen is the right way and still be able to get the s-pen out ? Sorry - stupid question, I know, but I think this is exactly the case I'm looking for. I need something that can be (almost) horizontal and still be able to plug the charger in at the bottom.

Thanks, bocosrs. Sorry to be a dummy, but does that mean that, if you have it lying semi-flat, the screen and whole tablet is upside down with the power connector at the 'top'? I really like this case, but have my sgn on my desk charging all day and want it lying flatish. It's not much good if that means it has to be upside down.
Good idea about the scalpel, btw.
Thanks again.

Only if you have the "smart cover" folded like shown in the picture. Otherwise just open like a book and lie flat. Also dont forget that even if the tablet is upside down the orientation sensor will flip the image.

I just got off the Poetic Atmosphere Case website. They posted this Update:
We are aware the issue of IR Blaster is being blocked. Update version will be released and ship on May 13th. on the official site so I have no doubt that the ones shipped out from Amazon will be the same and if they aren't Amazon is great at sending out the replacements to your order for free if the manufacturer messes up.
http://www.yourpoetic.com/p/435/poetics-atmosphere-case-for-the-htc-one-m7
I was waiting almost a month for this case after pre-ordering it from Amazon UK. I was drawn by what looked to be a good design that complemented the aesthetics of the phone. However, decided to cancel my order last week, when Poetic missed their estimated dispatch date. The OP's post explains why Poetic seem to be repeatedly pushing back their 'stock expected' date.
One question I have is...How can a case designer mistakenly overlook the IR blaster when it functions as a vital power button too?
Ended up buying an Otterbox Commuter. Pleased with it.
Currently interchangeably using HTC One, BBZ10 and Note 2

They overlooked the IR function, not the power button itself. The current design is opaque over the power button but works just fine as a power button. The new version will either have a cutout for the power button or have a clear button so the IR can pass through. I am hoping for the latter, but either way should be good.
ordered one a few days ago, they changed the date to may 13th as well.
wonder what they are doing with the cases they have already made, i would be willing to buy some for cheap as
i never use the ir blaster.

I had one for my iPhone 5. The case is pretty nice and holds up well, but it's a pain in the ass to take off. The only thing that bothered me is the bottom lip at the bottom of the screen is a little flimsy. Might just have been an i5 issue, not sure, but other than that it's a solid case.
Anyone know how the white clear one looks on the silver version?

That's because of the infrared interface.
The shipped some cases with blocked ir port and some reviews got bad.
Now they'll change the production process and ship new cases.
But for me it's ok, I don't use that port and for a review it's enough to show.
My poetic case from Amazon got shipped today.
The pictures of the case I'm seeing on Amazon show the screen running Sense 4.
That makes me feel wishful for some reason.

im in the uk and it now seems that the case is no longer available on Amazon
Guess its due to the revised version being sorted, really wanted this case but got fed up waiting because of the dates kept changing and now its not there at all
mine was just delivered and included was a note stating the power button being covered and that the revised version would be released may 13th and that they would automatically send the updated version to everyone who recieved the original design. defiantly a nice case, will be using it in the evenings and weekends when im out and about instead of the otterbox i have for the work week.
I ordered on April 5, and was just delivered today. Same as the previous post, a note came with it. See image. English grammar doesn't appear to be their specialty! But definitely glad to hear I'll be getting another in the coming weeks.
The version that I received is white. Looks very clean and consistent with the silver/white look of the phone.

I think this is the same one:

One purchaser says that after a couple of very minor mods he is happy with this one. I'm thinking of getting one.
first time seen a really good keyboard case, ordered it from ebay will write back review (eta 30dec-15jan)
I purchased it and absolutely love it. I ended up reviewing it on Amazon. You have to make two modifications to really make the case work. First, punch a hole where the charger is so that you can charge while it's closed. The second thing you likely will want to do is cut the area by the power button. I noticed that I couldn't easily turn the tablet on and off until I did this. It's a great case. Pretty light. The only negative I have is that I wish it "locked" into standing mode a bit better. If you are typing with it on your lap, it will fall forward and close sometimes. Other than that - I've pretty much replaced my work computer with my Note 10.1 plus this case. Hope that helps!
