[Official] Htc One X accessories

here you can have a look at the upcoming official htc one x accessories. thought it was a good idea to put them in a seperate thread

heres some detailed info on some of the neat things http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/blog/2012/02/htc-one-x-accessories-available-first-from-mobile-fun/ but the one that catches my eye is the HTC One X Speaker Dock CR S650 can just keep my fingers crossed that someone releases a case which extends the pogo pins.
strange is that when i search for more images info etc on the s650 i get this dock http://www.parrotshopping.com/us/p_htc_item.aspx?i=229884 its the same on this this page http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=229884&phone=229814 and on alot of pages so i guess they got the images mixed up..

was wondering why is it call a hard shell when there is a flip there...
no way am i getting a casing with a flip cover on it.. hate those designs..

First impressions- I don't like the way it's not going to completely cover the top or bottom of the phone, it also seems like the kind of case that clips on - not a big fan - (I'll see how it fits when I get the device) - material seems good though (hard plastic).
May be a good stop gap until casemate get their tough cases out (loath to pay 30 quid though, but always found them to offer A+ protection)

but noticed something, and maybe its just me having a complete lack of sleep (long story), but it seems the dock uses micro usb port of the phone, but if you think about which way you dock the phone, wouldnt that be the wrong side of the phone?
can someone confirm, or am i going crazy?

I thought the exact same thing earlier. The location of the micro usb plug on there would mean that the micro usb port on the phone would have to be on the right hand side, but in all pictures it's been on the left hand side.
Perhaps it's a mirror image, for some reason?

the phone has 5 metal dots on the back. these are the dock connection. not the micro-usb port.

Good point someone just made, you can't see the LED for notifications.
Not a major thing for me but it maybe for some people.

It also makes using the camera a bit of a pain. Useful for proping up the phone though.

Yeah I agree. Not my kind of case tbf but as it's a genuine product I thought I'd review it. My favorite case so far is a case from tech21

Like the fit, but blocking the led and awkward way you'd have to use camera make it a no go.

Cheers. Too many downsides to make it the case for me but they are very popular with S3 owners.

I don't mind the not holding anything side of things but they are expensive. You can tell it is a very high quality case though.

Those of you moaning about the led being covered just leave the cover open when on a desk!
As for the video, the screen turns off when your on a call anyway......

Yeah I'm aware the proximity sensor turns the screen off when it's by the side of your face but I thought it was worth pointing out it still works with the case.

Hello everyone,
I'm using the flip cover on my S3 and is exactly what i wanted. The only problem is the led being covered, so, i used a tool that i have to make holes on belts to make one on the cover and now is perfect for me.
See the pic below. The cover is very hard, i had to make a lot of "force" to make the hole.

I doubt they will but I think it would increase sales as a lot of people have pointed out the issue. I can't see how they can solve the issue of using the camera though.

Can someone that owns this case answer me this;
Is this cover protective for the screen in a case of a fall? I mean does it "lock" in place over the screen? If you turn it upside down for example, the flip opens?
I believe its the most basic thing that should be answered (if it does not protect the screen its useless) and no one in any review does this simple test.

Sorry I thought it was clear, no it doesn't lock to the screen so it dropped it could easily flap open.

ive pre ordered the case as its not out in australia yet, i should be getting it next week. never really thought about the camera and stuff until you guys mentioned it. ive used pu leather flip cases before and havnt really found it a problem. hopefully ill enjoy it as much i planned to. i love the looks and quality of the case, ive paid $39 aus for this product. cant wait..

I got one of these a couple of weeks back for my device. I found it was rather annoying having to hold it at an awkward angle when on the phone. I wish they'd made it flip up or down instead of to the side. It also means you can't hold it very well with your left hand either, as it adds even more width on to the device!
I've switched to a skin thingy now instead, even though it leaves the screen open to damage. I'm still looking to get some kind of plastic cover I can use with the skin I've got though.

My car dock

Hey guys. This is just a quick look of my car dock for people to see. I got this off eBay like a year ago and its still functional like new. I'm sorry if I'm only demonstrating inside the house, but you guys should get the point. I also use it as desk dock to hold my phone at the moment.
You can get them off eBay or amazon around $3

hmmmm. Mine holds pretty well so I dont know about that.

I have the same one and I'm happy with it. It will have the phone droop down occasionally if I'm on a really bumpy road but that's fine for the price, only takes a second to pick it up again.
I'm going to put an nfc tag on it so that my Bluetooth will turn on when I dock it. I already have tasker start music when the Bluetooth connects.

(Video Review) Sonivo Nexus 5 Wallet Case with a Sleep sensor

Here it is guys, the review I done for this case. Absolutely in love with it.
I thought I'd share this with everyone as if you look online there really are no wallet cases in the world like this to have the sleep wake function.

Everything looks great. I keep wanting a case like this but taking pictures seems to be a pain. How easy is it to take the phone in and out of the case?

Does the magnet interfere with the phone in any way? Maybe the compass or any other sensors?
[Edit] also, is the phone held snugly in the case or does it seem like I could come out with just a bit of flexing?

It's fairly easy to get the phone in and out. If you insert the case one side at a time its really easy. I normally insert the phone in from the left side then once that's in, clip the right side it. Getting it out is the same thing just in reverse. The support on the case is tough but does have a bit of allowance to allow the phone to come out.

Been using it for a few days now and haven't had any problems with it.
No movement from the phone once it's in the case. It's a hard case support thats made especially for the Nexus 5 so once the phone is in won't be going anywhere.
Hope that answers your questions.

One other question: does qi charging work with this case or is it too thick?

Seconded. This looks like the best case with an autowake cover. But it's also the only one that's not available in North America

I was curious about this wake n sleep function and played with a magnet on the phone, the sensor seems to be on the top left corner of the screen. Might glue a thin magnet into the cheapish pink wallet case my gf got for her N5 to ad this feature :good:

Where can or will Americans be able to purchase this? This case seems to be the best option and I only use wallet cases.

I contacted Sonivo and got a reply saying they are planning to sell in the US, but due to high demand, they don't yet have the inventory for it. No time frame yet.

I have one that's similar:

The only issues are (1) doesn't work with a car mount as is a frequent case problem and (2) the phone seems to get hotter with a wireless charger than the phone gets without the case on.

I'm assuming if you have this case, you have your phone in your jacket pocket.
I'm also a bit worried about the magnet for the flap, wouldn't it demagnetize your cards?

I've not had any problems with the case demagnetising my cards, I really only keep my one credit card in there which I use on a daily basis and thats worked fine since I've been using this case.

I just over nighted the official flip case from Google and im very happy with it, It has the smart screen magnet feature as well.

The one my friend had you could do yes.

looks extrem bad

It's a nice convenient protection all over the phone. Saves hassle of using screen protectors. Just more convenient really.

It's not looking that much cool and elegant one....well I have this shellster one and i think its far better than the one you have posted here...but still it depends from person to person...but I just want to know what's in that case that is making you to feel its a nice one.....
