Been reoccurring for about a week now, I'm on LK8 stock rooted and can't seem to figure out the reason. What do you guys think?

Flash a different kernel, should help.
Either grab the Perseus kernel from the original dev section, or here's mine. Both should help. Wipe cache and dalvik before flashing
Note_2_Kernel_The_Governor_v1.1.zip - 4.65 MB

Thank you Sleshepic! You da man!

Yeah its not 100%, but most of the time those two things are kernel related, and the stock kernel has had issues with some SDcards it seems. So start there I would say

Charging light blinked out last night, was on when I went to bed....woke up and off. Hmmm....Kernel is running great man, smooth as a baby's B!

Sdcard randomly comes unmounted

I get random unexpected unmounting of the sdcard on every ROM.. I really don't feel like seeing if formatting the sdcard will fix it but any ideas..?

This happened to my wife's phone it turned out to be a hardware issue. Go back to stock to confirm that it still isn't working. If you have TEP then you will get a replacement.

[Q] is it normal for my memory card to"unmount"when my phone goes to sleep?

Every time I go to use my phone when it's asleep I notice the SD Card symbol with the cog in it. Now it doesn't read my card and there's an exclamation Mark in the symbol. I'm curious if it remounts every time upon waking up?

That's what I figured. Thanks. I'm going with a higher class this time.

[Q] SD Card unmounts when screen off

I'm using Whompasaurus ROM, and when screen is off, then turns back on, it shows the card umounted , then remounted. Anyone experiencing this and is there a fix?

What do you mean keeps going in and out? You mean, that you see a message in the status bar saying "sd card mouted" then "sd card unmounted"?

Have you tried a different ROM to see if its a ROM issue or a hardware issue?

Did I ruin my SD card?

I was running liquid smooth 4.2.2 and flashed a tw rom. When it booted into tw it said your SD card may be broken would you like to reformat? I hit yes and it didn't seem to do anything. I went back to liquid smooth and it did it again now I no longer get the message but it says my SD card has only 6mb on it. How could I test and see if my SD card is working as it should?

Also when I turn off the phone and charge it, it displays a purple looking battery with a question mark over it.

Try plugging it into a computer and see what it says. Actually take it out and put it in a reader. It could have a messed up partition or something

I just tried two other batteries and still get the purple battery icon with? Mark when phone is off and charging. I'll try plugging it in computer what should it look like when I plug it in?
Everything seems to work when I plug it in. I can add and remove files from it.
