First of all I'm new to this forum so Hello! second of all I'm also new to rooting and custom ROM's.
So today after 3 days of trying to unlock my HTC One X by htcdev.com i finally submitted my identifier token and i got the Unlock_code.bin
I downloaded Android Revolution HD 18.1, I also downloaded the CWM v5.8.4.0 and installed it on my phone.
After that i followed the instructions on how to install the Revolution HD 18.1, after doing all the steps on my phone it told me it was succesfully installed and i had to reboot the system. So i did it, then the part comes where i'm getting stuck. It was rebooting my htc , and it wouldn't go further then the opening screen HTC quietly brilliant it was stuck there. trying to put my phone on and off and on and off, same problem. Now i can only go in the boot-loader menu and in recovery menu and that's it. I re-lock my phone again to update firmware. NOW I HAVE ONLY ACESS TO BOOT MENU AND BATTERY IS ALSO NOT CHARGING I PUT IT ON CHARGING FOR 5, 6 HOURS. WHEN EVER I TRY TOO UNLOCK BOOT LOADER IT SAYS BATTER LOW
I did a lot of research on how to fix my problem, unfortunately nothing helped. (Maybe cuz I'm a noob and new to this)
I tried almost every thing but nothing help
Can someone please help me with this, i've been trying it all day now and i'm giving up the hope.

leave it on the bootloader to charge
Leaving it in the bootloader will drain the phone, it does not charge there.
Use the bat script in the right way ? Place this
http://db.tt/aLqeTpPO
In the fastboot folder on the pc, put the phone in the bootloader/fastboot usb mode
Right click the .bat file and select it to run as administrator ! That's the only way to charge the batt up. Leave it for an hour and you should be able to unlock it and flash a custom recovery from where you can charge the up to more power
Thanks and whta next dear

Don't touch the supersu.zip, it is unnecessary.
1. Wipe/factory reset
2. Flash the ARHD.zip
3. Flash the boot.img from the ARHD.zip "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Yep the rom is pre rooted so you can skip that

How to charge in recovery and secondly how to fast boot after flashing with ARHD confuse
You flashed cwm recovery 5.4.8.0 ? If you are in the recovery and you see the led burning is okey, of not leave the cable on the phone and on the pc and reboot the recovery
Like fastboot command but instead fastboot you type
Adb reboot recovery
It reboots the recovery and the led should go on !
And if you want to go to the bootloader from the recovery you type
Adb reboot bootloader

Hello,
my HTC desire has been rooted for like 8 months or so, with Oxygen 2.3.2 ROM installed. Yesterday i had my first problem, my apps began to freeze, and it ended up that my hole phone were froozen. I pulled my battery in and out, nothing happened.
I went into recovery and made a factoery reset, and wiped everything i could (i have read, that it was a good idea) and when i turned my phone up again, i realised that i had deleted my ROM on the phone...
So again... i went in to recovery and tryed to flash my ROM again, but i ran into a problem:
Code:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(No such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /sdcard
after i googled and tryed for like an hour and a half, i got it fixed with
Code:
cd C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools
fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
fastboot oem eraseconfig
and as i remember i took my batteri out again, and placed my memery-card into my computer, moved my ROM (oxygen 2.3.2) over again. So i tryed to get into recovery, but now it wont get in there, after i press the POWER-button on "Recovery" it just stocks on the HTC load screen, i left it that way the hole night, and when i woke up, nothing was happened...
i pulled my battery out, and now i got some problems just booting up to fastboot/hboot to.
so the problems now:
problems getting into RECORVERY
Sometimes problems booting to HBOOT/FASTBOOT
If you need any information, please tell me so
PS: Im sorry if my english is kind of bad
You should try flashing a new recovery image via fastboot once you get there. That worked for me when i couldnt enter recovery.

I assume you are S-OFFed so just download a recovery.img file of your recovery, boot into fastboot and flash via fastboot utility your recovery.img file like 'fastboot flash recovery path\to\recovery.img'

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275632
"I'm S-ON, I can't boot recovery, and my phone doesn't boot "
This is a bit of a worse situation, as you cannot flash system critical parts such as the recovery image and just restore a backup. This unfortunately means that you will lose all of your data when you attempt to fix the phone.
[STEP1]- Make sure that you have a goldcard. If not, create one from the tutorial.
[STEP2]- Battery pull. Hold the BACK button and the POWER button to boot into FASTBOOT mode.
[STEP3]- Download the latest WWE RUU from here
[STEP4]- Run the RUU and wait for completion WARNING: DO NOT, BY ANY CIRCUMSTANCES INTERRUPT THE PROCESS - THIS WILL MORE THAN LIKELY END UP WITH A BRICKED PHONE - NOT EVEN IF GOD HIMSELF TELLS YOU TO DO SO, OR IF THE US PRESIDENT THREATENS YOU WITH THERMO-NUCLEAR WAR
[STEP5]- Once the phone is booted, you are now returned completely to stock. You will need to re-root again, and I'd recommend S-OFF

SLCD brick?
Try to pull the battery, power on + back (this will get you into fastboot), wait about 10-20 seconds, then connect it to usb. In fastboot utility type 'fastboot devices' and see if it detects your phone. If it does, run an RUU.

Why do you clean your sd card?
From fastboot you can flash custom recovery, and then you can enter your custom recovery to mount the sd card..
from there, copy a custom rom on your choice and flash it..remember to flash the kernel too..

5- another screen will appear to your device asking if u wanna unlock your bootloader, click yes using vol+ then Power button

Have a search for a bat file that lets you charge your phone in a reboot cycle, then you can go from there.

Yeah, but what error? what does it say when you try to erase cache?
Please, slow down and tell us what you are trying to do and what you have already done.
Did you:
- unlock the phone with HTC Dev?
- flash Unlock_code.bin?
- install custom recovery?
- install custom rom?
- install the boot.img for the custom rom via fastboot?
We're here to help but we cant if your not telling us whats wrong

Did you try to install a JB version of ARHD?
If so, it sounds like you haven't updated the hboot.
It's almost impossible to help if you don't answer questions though.

That sound about right... but what rom did you install?
if it is a sense Jellybean rom like ARHD 12 you probably forgot to update the hboot with the firmware.zip

Hi all,
I think my friend and i bricked his phone last night.
Its the HTC one x and we used the Hasoon2000 method. I think the problem was the perm root part of the software said unable to connect to device.
I searched around and someone said to flash supersu and that should do it. However after flashing that we did a backup of the phone in clockwork recovery.
We then tried flashing the viperX rom which we did on another one X and worked fine, it got to 1% and restarted. It then stuck at the quietly brilliant page.
We can't get it to boot into recovery but can get it to go to the bootloader. We tried to do the fastboot command from the PC to erase fastboot cache but it couldnt connect to the device.
I have read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764421 and but it is about the AT&T version, what recovery image would i need?
Also how can i tell if it is hard bricked or soft bricked? As i'm worried it could be hard bricked cause i couldnt erase the fastboot cache.
Any help is appreciated, and sorry if this is answered somewhere else but i couldnt see an answer.
Bit more bootloader info:
Unlocked
S-On
Hboot 1.39.0000
If possible i'd like to help my friend finish rooting it but if its easier put it back to normal.
Again thanks if anyone can help me.
What does the bootloader say, EVITA or ENDEAVORU ?
It says endeavoru
Then stay away from the HTC one XL forum, its a different phone !!!
Do you have the HTC drivers installed and a folder on the pc with the fastboot files ?
Place these files in a folder like this
http://db.tt/ldx3qOOU
C:\fastboot\files i gave you
Then put the phone in the bootloader and open a command prompt inside the fastboot folder on the pc and type
Fastboot devices
If a serial comes up we are good to go !

Just connected it to my laptop and the pc said fastboot drivers installed and made the noise of a device connecting and disconnecting.
Haven't tried what you said yet as it said battery is too low on the bootloader. I've now plugged it in a plug socket and have it on the htc quietly brilliant screen. I take it this should still charge it?

Is it possible for you to turn the phone off?
IF so it should charge a bit quicker that way
Also just to clarify, how did you try to install Viper X on your phone?
Hmm no, if its bootlooping then yes. Is the bootloader unkocked and do you have a custom recovery installed yet ?
In case you have a custom recovery installed put the phone in the recovery it will charge the batt in there .....
Otherwise put the phone in the bootloader and run this file from within the fastboot folder
http://db.tt/aLqeTpPO
It will continuously reboot the phone and charge it little by little, leave it like this for an hour or so.
No, if i go into bootloader and fastboot then power down it turns itself back on if its plugged in.

The bootloader says unlocked, and we had CWM recovery installed it no longer loads up, it just reboots itself.
I'm confused by what you mean, what command would i use to run that file from the fastboot folder and after doing that do you mean i should leave it charging from the laptop?
Link to image of the bootloader if this helps - http://imgbin.org/index.php?page=image&id=11217
Just connect the phone to the pc and put the phone in the bootloader then execute the .bat file from the fastboot folder (download it and move it in there)
It should start rebooting the phone over and over again.
Edit : I see fastboot usb in the bootloader that's good !
We need to get the batt charged so we can reflash the recovery, that will probably solve it all.

Ok this is working. It doesn't say about low battery anymore on the bootloader. But ill leave it charging for a bit. What is my next step?
Next step is to reflash the recovery, download this one
http://db.tt/Krlm4dPs
Rename it to recovery.img and Copy the file in the fastboot folder. Put the phone in the bootloader again and flash the recovery
All these commands are executed from the command prompt inside the fastboot folder.
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot erase cache
Then enter the recovery by pressing hboot one time (confirm with powerbutton) then press recovery
Ignore me Mr Hoffs beat me to it

YES! That has worked, we are in recovery. What can i do now? Should i try flashing ViperX or is the phone not permarooted?
Last time i tried to do permroot with the Hasoon2000 tool. That didnt work and i just flashed superSU, i think i must be missing something.
Thanks so much for your help!
If you do this, you will be good. Maybe you van skip some steps because you already did them before but I mention them anyway
Download the viper x JB rom, open it with an unpack program and copy the boot.img and place it in the fastboot folder. Copy the rom.zip to the phone (mount as usb drive in the mounts & storage part of the recovery)
Now put the phone back in the bootloader and flash the boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot img
Fastboot erase cache
Enter the recovery again and do a full wipe , also wipe the dalvik cache under the advanced tab. Then install the rom.zip with the
Install zip from sdcard menu !
Install the viper and choose in the aroma installer of the rom FULL WIPE and the question you get about the custom kernel you answer with NO !
Don't worry about root, the rom is standard rooted
Good to go mate

Hi Guys,
I tried putting in a new ROM for my HTC ONE X International (HBOOT 1.33) and this problem came up.
1. Phone is stuck in bootloop. Whenever I try to turn it off, it automatically reboots
2. Battery drain because of bootloop, doesn't charge.
3. I can enter HBOOT but encounters the following issue
- Trying to enter recovery leads to rebooting and continuing the bootloop
- Trying to factory reset leads to rebooting and continuing the bootloop
4. Computer cannot detect the device since it never goes past the HTC load screen
I really appreciate any help you guys can provide.
Thank you
Did you flash the boot.img? You need to do it through fastboot: fastboot flash boot boot.img
Do a "fastboot erase cache" afterwards.
Also, which ROM were you flashing?
Sent from my One X
What recovery are you using? Try to flash the latest CWM from here http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
it lets you charge when in recovery.
In order to flash it I had to have fastboot open and ready in the command window with the command to flash already typed in, then it was just a matter of timing->as soon as you go from Hboot to fastboot press enter.
Once you have access to the recovery you should be able to confirm your Hboot version and workout what needs to be done from there (ie flash the appropriate boot.img, or recovery from nandroid backup, run an RUU, or who knows what).

I was flashing OrDroidX 1.3.2. How can I flashboot if my device isn't recognized by my computer when I plug it in? (Sorry it's my first time) Also, my battery doesn't seem to be charging when it's off.
You need to be in fastboot mode. It should say fastboot in your bootloader menu, select it using hardware buttons. On the scree you should see
FASTBOOT USB
Then fastboot should work OK.
Check connection by doing
Code:
fastboot devices
If your battery voltage is really low, check out this script. It will start rebooting the phone and eventually battery will charge.

Charge the phone to 100%, start bootloader and choice recovery and see if the phone charge if charge leave for 2 hour to charge good. After this unlock your bootlader and install custom recovery and rom of your wish flash boot.img and everything will be ok. Or you can install RUU it is the same after this receive OTA from HTC. Your CID maybe is 11111111 if not go in fastboot and write the command fastboot writecid HTC__032 And install RUU for base 3.14.401.2.
Sir thanks for reply..
I left my phone in wall charger over night. Sometime red light kept flashing after that it became steady and after 4-6 hours it went off completely.
I took it out from charger and tried to switch it on but it didn't switch on. Again I connected it to charger red light started flashing. I got into fast boot and tried to unlock the boot loader but it said "low battery". I checked battery by running the fastboot script it says 2985 MV.
Now the phone is getting into boot loader when it is connected to wall charger. Otherwise I m not able to even switch it on.
And sir yes my CID number is 11111111.
Sir please help to revive my HOX.
Thanks

Firstly you must do nandroid backup your current rom, then
-- Relock Bootloader
-- Tap : "fastboot oem rebootRUU"
-- Put "firmware.zip" in your fastboot repertory on PC
-- Tap "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip" (If this complains without getting you a green progressbar on the screen, try it again – the second time it usually sticks.)
-- Reboot to bootloader , now have ssen new hboot and Unlock bootloader, Phone rebooting reset to factory default and do a set up and boot to bootloader>fastboot again.
-- Flash boot.img of your current rom & custom recovery again.
-- Reboot ( Now can restore your backup rom as youlike.)
Now device is upgraded Hboot with your current rom.

Sir first of all thanks for your kind reply.
i will do as you said.
But here is my case
i bought htc one x with boot loader-locked, s-OFF, CID 11111111, Hboot 1.12.0000, version-main-2.17.401.2
i did ota update and after that phone got into boot loop. and the battery also stopped charging.
i used fastboot script for battery charging, unlocked boot loader, installed clockworkmod, and charged the battery. but phone is still in boot loop.
tried to flash stock ruu for europe and aisa but both gave error [159] image error.
after that tried to install cyanogenmod 10.1 gave error update hboot to higher verion.
after that tried JB FW easy flasher tool to upgrade hboot, it changed my CID to HTC-621 but during flashing firmware.zip it stuck at sending 'zip' and phone remains at silver htc logo and nothing happerns
after that i tried to install miui, able to flash it but touch screen doesnt work... now i dont know what to do
