How to make Notification LED blink Brighter - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Today morning when I woke up I found a new way to make LED glow brighter
Using Root Explorer go to system/etc/pre_hw_config.sh
open the file with text editor and write the following code in it (change only the last three lines)
echo 7000 > $dev/red/max_current
echo 7000 > $dev/green/max_current
echo 7000 > $dev/blue/max_current
save the file and reboot...
now go to service Menu and test your LED.. See the difference...
Press thanks If I helped you :fingers-crossed:

Yes it is the same but I don't find it working in my phone so I made a mod by myself.
I am Using Xperia ion Lt28h [ICS 6.1.E.2.68]

Is it working in Xperia SL ??
HI , will this work for xperia SL 2?

This worked great. I changed the numbers to 20000 and it's so much brighter! Can we also make other colors brighter?

Yes but I could find only red blue and green LED bright, i think the rest will get brighter automatically as the rest of the colours are made by the combination of those three main colours

I have even tried changing the lcd value to 70000 and found a bit changes in brightness of lcd in sunlight, you'll be able to view everything without any problem

Notification led a bit dim, anyone else?

Anyone notice that the notification led isn't very bright, compared to my x10 its not even half the brightness. Although, when i used flash tool to root/ICS, the green led lit fairly bright compared to normal operation. So far, thats my only gripe about this phone.

I'm glad its dim. Hated getting notifications at night on my Xperia S because the led was too bright.

I like it better this way. My X10 was so bright I had to leave it face down so it wouldn't wake me up.

I agree. In brightly lit rooms is barely visible. Maybe there's a mod to increase the brightness of the LED
Ok, I've found a way to increase the brightness of the LED notification:
the configuration files are in sys/class/leds/green/max_current
Changing the default value (400) to 2000 (same as Xperia S) with text editor on root explorer and the bright of the led is increased.
The problem is that rebooting the device is changing the file to default value again.
Any idea about how to fix that?
Make sure you have the same permissions on the file after you edit as they were before the edit.

Didn't make a difference for me, still reset to 400.

Has anyone found a solution to this ? My LED is real dim, in comparison to my Xperia S this light isn't even on!

I was searching for a fix on Google, but seems like this is manufacturing fault or maybe they thought it shouldn't be bright because transparent bar is already too bright.
Please anyone help in fixing this issue because it is annoying to see if I have any messages or missed calls. It should be more bright! Look forward to see a fix in few days.

Here you go.
Set the LED brightness value from init.d script.
Just flash the zip through CWM recovery.

Notification LED

Is there a way to change the notification led when i get a message or missed call? Ive tied light flow and other apps buy nothing works. Btw my OG is reported
SPRINT has a habbit of having their phones built with 2 color LED's red/green. The Nexus has multis but I believe we got left out of the fun with our OG's. Maybe somebody else knows other wise but I have been unsuccesful and am sure this is the case
My HTC Hero had a single (white) color roller ball but other heros built for other companies had the multi color rollers for instance.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983941
I mentioned this same problem earlier. No fix that I can find, though I'd definitely throw some $ towards someone finding a way to make the notification led flash faster, even if it requires root

I got the LED to blink alot.
Rooted with esFileExplorer
Open /system/etc/system.xml
Change notification_light_pulse from 0 to 1.
Save.
Enjoy

I tried that before, didn't seem to work with texts/email notifications. Still around 30 seconds.
Yes it speeds up charging notifications. The rest are still slow

Yea, it would be nice to find a way to speed up the blink frequency without rooting or anything.

[myOneV RC8.0 FX+]Red Square displayed in screen

Hello, I flashed myOneV RC8.0 FX+ then flashed a separate boot.img which is found on the first page in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647052.
I noticed that there are times that a red square is displayed on screen when navigating the phone in times it is loading.
What is the cause of this?
Great ROM by the way!
Please provide a screenshot.
I can't produce a screenshot since it disappears quickly, it is more like a red thick border on the screen forming a rectangle, this happens when there will be a quick loading moment like opening an app or navigating.
Sent from my HTC One V using xda app-developers app
Hmm...it also happened with me on rc 2.0;just reflashed ROM with full wipe and it worked.
I think the reflash worked, i don't see any red border anymore.

Proximity sensor?! It is responsible for turning the phone's screen off when you bring it close to your ear during a call. As for auto brightness, go to /system/etc and open hw_config.sh and look for this line - echo 1 > $dev/lcd-backlight/als/enable
Change 1 to 0 and save the file. Then reboot.
MAKE A BACKUP FIRST. Good luck

Auto brightness

Today I noticed a new thng on my xperia s
Wen I placed my fone on bright sunlight the brightness automatically increased and wen I covered the sensor it was back to normal
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app

Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
there is no option to check and uncheck in the settings regarding auto brightness, but i guess our phone has the sensor and its always on.i noticed it while playing fifa 14 and sometimes its trouble to see screen flicker, moving my hand i wanna switch it off temporarily
Ah yes I almost forgot there is no option to toggle autobrightness in the stock fw.
Also its activated only when the brightness is set over 25%.
