Hello,
Whenever I try to Google Search my Search app is working well - the cards display, everything works. But whenever I hit the microphone on the search bar from my home screen I get a force close...
I've tried wiping data and cache from applications...any ideas?

Have you updated it in the play store?

I had those issues until I updated it. Go to the play store>my apps and find Google search. You have to have to update it manually.

Well I tried updating and it said package was incorrectly signed so I removed quick search box apk from /system/app and installed from the market.. Now I get an incompatible error..(error symbol in the status bar)

Did you reboot after removing the app out of the system/app folder? Have to ask.
Had this on my ACER tablet and this fix worked:
Go to Settings>
Language And Input>
Voice Search>
And UNCHECK hotword detection.
That being said, this box is checked on my SGSIII and google voice is working fine.
Didn't work
Uploaded a log here

Hopefully someone can read?

I am having problems with my play store where the opening screen is not showing all of the tile pictures. They are black. Also, if I search for an app, the icon for the app is only showing the little grey android robot. Like in these pics. I have tried force stop, clear data, clear cache numerous times to no avail. I have the latest Play Store app inastalled on my phone. Any suggestions?

WTF?? I just tried it and It DOES work on mobile but, it doesn't on wifi. How does that make sense?? Everything else works just fine over wifi except the Play Store.
I'm having the same problem. Same on jelly time and on existz aospx. I'm wondering if its not the gapps download.

I'm using an Android
4.0.3/Sense 4.1 rom. I've looked all over and can't seem to find a solution.

I'm getting this error whilst trying to download new apps from the play store. It's letting me download updates just not new apps, and as you can see I have plenty of storage space.
I did a few searches but was unable to come up with a solution. I've tried wiping cache and dalvik, fixing permissions, wiping play store data, and wiping Google services framework data. No joy...
Any other ideas?

I am getting this message too and I have even done the swap of internal and external memory.
This is an old problem with the market. Let the market update and try again. Sometimes clearing cache in recovery fixes it.

Hello,
I flashed Calkulin's ROM a few weeks ago and I got the 'system update available' message this morning.
Is there a way to disable this message, since I am not planning to apply the system update.
Thank you in advance.
Yes, quite a few. If you use Xposed Framework there is a Syscope Blaster module. If not look for FOTAkill, I know it's somewhere in the General section.

Thank you very much.
I also noticed that it appeared under the Task Manager as 'Google Services Framework'. I killed the app and it's gone for now. It will probably re-appear when I reboot.

Tks bro but I already did that too.ok let me explain what's going on.I go to Google play store then settings> click do not auto-update then I exit out.after that notification pops up saying update needs approval hangouts(replaces talk) ok so then I just swipe notification away after that I go back to play store click it> application not found> I click it again darkhorse is gone and Google play loads up fine..hope this makes sense

Can you be more specific what you are trying to do? That's how you stop Google play from updating.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
It is done through Google Play Services now, there is no way to stop Play Store from updating... Short of removing Google Play Services, but that wouldn't be good.

This happens only when you are not signed into any google account (or the app isn't detecting you signed in).
If you are signed in already, try uninstall google search then install it back from Play Store and see if it detects it.
Once you are signed in, the Google now On-Off button will appear in the Settings page of your screenshot
Problem solved by tap Google search from Launcher3
