This happens only when you are not signed into any google account (or the app isn't detecting you signed in).
If you are signed in already, try uninstall google search then install it back from Play Store and see if it detects it.
Once you are signed in, the Google now On-Off button will appear in the Settings page of your screenshot
Problem solved by tap Google search from Launcher3

Pixel density. It's a somewhat common option in many roms, but can mess with the phone being recognized by the play store.

I've read about that problem. Have you tried resetting your app data by going Settings -> Apps -> Google Play -> Delete app data (or something like that) ?

Hello,
Whenever I try to Google Search my Search app is working well - the cards display, everything works. But whenever I hit the microphone on the search bar from my home screen I get a force close...
I've tried wiping data and cache from applications...any ideas?

Have you updated it in the play store?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I had those issues until I updated it. Go to the play store>my apps and find Google search. You have to have to update it manually.

Well I tried updating and it said package was incorrectly signed so I removed quick search box apk from /system/app and installed from the market.. Now I get an incompatible error..(error symbol in the status bar)

Did you reboot after removing the app out of the system/app folder? Have to ask.
Had this on my ACER tablet and this fix worked:
Go to Settings>
Language And Input>
Voice Search>
And UNCHECK hotword detection.
That being said, this box is checked on my SGSIII and google voice is working fine.
Didn't work

I have constant bad luck.
Is this the latest beta?
Yes I believe so

There is a Beta 32 over in the S4 forums. If your twitter is crashing, that is because Google Play will auto update twitter back to 4.1 once you install the Beta. Stop GP from auto updating Twitter, and you should be fine!
Uninstall OLD 4.1, Install new 5.0 Beta

The feature to move the photos to sd card is still missing in the M6 build of cm11 that is currently running on my galaxy grand duos. Also the updated google camera app crashes when I go to the settings, perhaps due to the same reason. Is there any workaround? Or Any good enough camera app with all these features?

There is no such setting in the latest version of cm11 for i9082.I am also using the rom of the same date.It is a known issue with cm11.If I am missing something, then please provide some details as to how you go into these settings.

My mistake. I was using old gapps package that interfered with the cm11 camera. It is working as you guys suggested.

I use Textra as well, I have the AT&T version and have not had any problems. I would suggest emailing the dev, they may have an easy answer for you.
With the app installed, go to setting >apps and then find tetra and then check the permissions section. Make sure the required permission is enabled there.

All permissions are good.
Running Textra on my Sprint Note 7 and have not seen that pop up. Do you have any security/virus protection apps installed?
No problems at all on my T-Mobile Note 7 w/Textra.
I've sent pix/GIFs/etc...... without any issues whatsoever.
Could possibly be an ad blocker acting up or,if you've disabled something using one of the disabler apps available..................
It was the overlay was turned off.
