I'm getting this error whilst trying to download new apps from the play store. It's letting me download updates just not new apps, and as you can see I have plenty of storage space.
I did a few searches but was unable to come up with a solution. I've tried wiping cache and dalvik, fixing permissions, wiping play store data, and wiping Google services framework data. No joy...
Any other ideas?

I am getting this message too and I have even done the swap of internal and external memory.
This is an old problem with the market. Let the market update and try again. Sometimes clearing cache in recovery fixes it.

So I purchased PowerAMP full and when I go to download the trial it tells me I don't have enough space on my phone, the thing I don't get is I have over one gig of space on my internal memory. Is any one else having this problem?

You might want to check how much memory you have on your SD card. I believe its trying to download to your sd

Market or the app is telling you this? If the market try a reboot, thing has no idea what it's talking about sometimes.

If you explore your /sdcard with a file manager, does it report the same amount of free space?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I had this happen to me on both my nex7 and gnex, my solution to the issue was to go into clockwork recovery and format the sdcard, backup everything to a computer first though.
Yes it does. It's the same amount whether it's through the file explorer or the computer.
I deleted some apps and two nandroids but I still don't think the calculation is correct.

My issue was the backups. They were eating away my storage. I now keep only 2 nandroids.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Ok I found the solution.
Download storage analyzer from the store it shows what files and folders are taking away most of the space. I cleaned out 5 gigs this way. 2gbs was taken up by bug reports alone.

Doesn't that do the same thing as wiping cache from recovery? I do that often.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I have 2GBs of apps installed and a total of 6 gbs free on my phone and cannot install any more apps. I get an "insufficient storage available" warning when I try to. I though we were theoretically able to use all 11 GBS available for app storage?
I am running freegs3 2.0 if that were to matter but saw nothing of this mentioned in the rom thread or anyone having this issue in the forums?
Any help would be appreciated
Go into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and see if that fixes it.

Have you updated it in the play store?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I had those issues until I updated it. Go to the play store>my apps and find Google search. You have to have to update it manually.

Well I tried updating and it said package was incorrectly signed so I removed quick search box apk from /system/app and installed from the market.. Now I get an incompatible error..(error symbol in the status bar)

Did you reboot after removing the app out of the system/app folder? Have to ask.
Had this on my ACER tablet and this fix worked:
Go to Settings>
Language And Input>
Voice Search>
And UNCHECK hotword detection.
That being said, this box is checked on my SGSIII and google voice is working fine.
Didn't work
Uploaded a log here

Hello,
I flashed Calkulin's ROM a few weeks ago and I got the 'system update available' message this morning.
Is there a way to disable this message, since I am not planning to apply the system update.
Thank you in advance.
Yes, quite a few. If you use Xposed Framework there is a Syscope Blaster module. If not look for FOTAkill, I know it's somewhere in the General section.

Thank you very much.
I also noticed that it appeared under the Task Manager as 'Google Services Framework'. I killed the app and it's gone for now. It will probably re-appear when I reboot.
