I tried this on a friends phone and the launcher considering the sexy on it is extremely smooth. It is a very nice launcher but the price stops me.

It bogs down and goes super slow after a week.. uses about 300mb ram and costs a bomb.
Would not recommend.

Agreed, I tried Go's other launchers and they are far from being good, too many settings and poor ui design... Nova is currently my fav.
Re: Next Launcher 3D the best...
No I am not a developper, I am an android Newbie. And not related with the app developers at all.
I am just giving a honest review of the most beautiful Wallpaper I have ever used in my device.
Besides, the launcher I think runs very smooth, And I do agree that the app is quite expensive. That is why I am saying try it , Keep the wallpaper and return it...
Re: Next Launcher 3D the best...
By the way, I ONLY recommend it in your AOSP jb 4.2.1 ROM,
By no means it is a substitution of the Touchwiz in jb 4.1.2.
But as a substitute of the AOSP 4.2.1 launcher, it's great.

You keep using the roll eyes in your posts, out of context. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Re: Next Launcher 3D the best...(AOSP 4.2.1 only)
The app does not eat a lot of ram same as touchwiz does. But it need a lot of upgrade some it become more usable for me it's better now the touchwiz with jkay in build wire list

So I was wondering if there are any lag fixes for touchwiz4. Can anyonebplease explain to me why touchwiz (old and new one) is soo laggy when switiching screens? This is especially noticeable when using a live wallpaper. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I get what you're saying there prevails to not be a fix. Just touchwiz in general.

it should work considering touchwiz has that same exact redraw lag.. i havent used touchwiz in a while cuz of the horrible experience and i just stay with go laucher.. but tw4 has been implemented with some nice features -__-
Guys if you want an asop experience just flash racers tw port and adb push Apex Launcher into /system/app and remove tw launcher. Runs as good as it's gonna get with m&s's blaze modems and all the other hotfixes at least till t-mo drops 4.0.3 or the ril gets fixed on this.

No problem, battery life isn't that great right now because we don't have a t989 kernel but its def usable until we get a stable rc candidate.

I havent tried the romracer kernel but the unsecure mohan_kr kernel has booted up fine for me. I am really meticulous about clearing caches and superwiping though.

I thought pushing these 3rd party launchers to the system/app was having the side effect of being slightly unstable? Is the payoff really that much better having it as a system app?

Is the stock launcher not very fluid in its tasks? Switching between menus, settings and apps isn't always smooth. I'm not saying the phone isn't fast but the transition between one thing to another tends to be jerky for me.
Not be anal, just doesn't seem right for a high end device.

Look at all the roms in dev forums and find which one best suites you.
most popular combo is most likely aokp + franco.
