[Q] Fastboot blocked by usb - HTC One X

Hi guys,
I hope you can help me, sorry for my english, I'm from France, I wanted to install cyagenmod 10 but the installation was aborted.
I've relock bootloader to install a RUU but not enough battery, I managed with a lot of issues to unlock the bootloader to recharge my hox but now I can't get to fastboot by usb, the hox is no longer recognized on my pc,when it connected on my pc i can go in fastboot but i can't navigate in, i can't up or down in reboot, boot bootloader... it's blocked.
So i can't flash the recovery to charge the device, I can't do anything, i've clockwork recovery touch 5.8.2.4, i can't charge or mount usb with this recovery.
the big problem is that when I charge it, an hour after the phone turns off, no battery, nothing, is it normal ?
I think it goes up to 3600 mV and discharge but why?
I'm looking for a solution since one week, i don't find.
I've buy this used hox on ebay uk 2 weeks ago, it worked perfectly before manipulation.
Sorry again
Thank you for your help.
Good evening all.

Use this.
Then flash recovery and Rom of choice!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium

Got it in .bat already
http://db.tt/aLqeTpPO
Place the file in the fastboot flash folder, put the phone in the bootloader/fastboot usb mode and execute the .bat file, it will reboot the phone constantly and charge it little by little......

And update to CWM 5.8.4.0, it will charge from there and you can mount sd as usb mass storage.

Ok guyz thanks but the problem is when i plug the hox on comp, it isn't recognized
C:\Users\\Desktop\Fastboot>fastboot getvar battery-voltage
< waiting for device >
I plug the cable, i've Fasboot USB but it's like i've plugged nothing, it's since i've re-unlock bootloader with htc dev.
In first i've unlock boot to install CMD 10, then i've relock to install RUU and now i've re-unlock to charge and fix it the problem.

it's could be a problem with htc drivers or may be the pc ??

Try a different usb port, I don't think the HTC drivers like USB3.

I've tried hundred of times all usb2 ports, i've tried in another pc, i've uninstalled et reinstalled many of times htc sync and sdk but always same result, my hox isn't recognize, impossible to do something, i'm blocked, i've tried everything since 10 days.
Please please need help !!!

Did you try this :
Uninstall HTC sync completely and only install these HTC drivers
http://db.tt/gXVxa3Dp

Solved !
i've tried these drivers and last, yesterday i've change usb cable and it was finally recognized!!
I've flashed recovery and boot, now all works, however i've tried with 2 usb cables, third was good.
thank you very much for your helps guyz, have fun.

Sorted then ! Good.

[Q]USB PROBLEM: Could not detect sdcard and android adb composite

Hi,
A few days ago, I changed my recovery from RA to clockwork, but when i tried to flash zip from sdcard, it showed :
E: can't mount sys/class/mmcblk
My last rom was :
Rcmix s, latest radio, already s-off
Then it could not boot to the phone homescreen, but it still could enter to fastboot, hboot, and recovery. Finally i tried flashing RUU BRAVO WWE RADIO 5110527 SIGNED.exe, and it found that the latest rom was fail/error.
The last step, I had succesfully flashed RUU from hboot. But there is more problem after update :
1. No sdcard detected
2. Adb not detected, but detected as QUALCOMM CDMA MSM on PC, although Usb debugging was already activated. And also No screen notification when usb plugged in the phone
3. Sometimes i could not charge the phone from homescreen, light and battery indicator didn't active, but it still could be charged when phone totally off
Please help me to fix my desire, thank you very much

fastboot/boot loader problem

hi,first post on this section . upgraded from the desire bravo, could do with some advice..
purchased a used dhd in good condition, changed housings etc,its running the latest htc 3.12.405.1 sense 3.0 android 2.3.5 .after a good search i realised i would have to downgrade to s-off etc.
my problem is i can't get into fast boot power down volume, pulled battery tried lots of times.
pc will not recognise dhd, installed drivers etc, should be able to sort that one out myself.
but i cant work out why i cant get into fastboot, the phone just restarts
thanks mark
Hi,
Download HTC Sync and install that, that contains all the required USB drivers needed.
As for getting into fastboot, have you disabled HTC "Fastboot"? Its in a setting somewhere. Possibly under Settings>Applications or Settings>Development. Make sure that is unticked.
If you take your battery out & reinsert, hold vol down then press power. That should do it for you. If not, enable USB Debugging and use adb to get into the bootloader with,
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
You will need the SDK or a thinned down adb package. Which you can grab from HERE.
You will need the USB drivers for that to work.
EDIT: Just re-read your post. If you have HTC Sync installed and you still cannot get it detected then there maybe an issue with either the handset or your computer. Check "Device Manager" when its plugged in to see if there is a conflict.
htc sinc was allready on pc from desire bravo, well just the drivers.have tried the htc fastboot uncheck earlier no good,re installed htc sinc as i thought it may be different for dhd,but its not.
pc will not pick up device, says drivers not installed.i know they are as the bravo worked fine.
i had read somewhere that unrooted dhd can be usb bricked, there is a fix by some french chap on here, but i cant do that because cant get into fastboot.
need to get into fastboot first i think,to see whats what, device could allready be s-off dont know.
strange
edit: volume button was not working correctly lol, s-on,now to sort out the drivers, downgrade and flash a nice rom

[Q]Hboot stuck on "Checking SD card update..."

Anyone got any idea why this might be happening?
One remark in the Revolution HD ROM thread suggested starting again from scratch (re-locking) - I hope that's excessive...
Do you think it's because of the amount of data on my SD? or perhaps I should remove a file it's getting caught up on?
[Fixed]
Either by unplugging the AC charger, or deleting a bundle of large, non-flashable .zip files on my SD card.
just had the same prob and thought i had bricked it...did a google and found your post unplugged it from the wall charger and it carried on loading...phew!
thanks for the tip

This is why I love Google and XDA. Something so simple. Unplugged from the wall and panic over.

USB Powered problem?
Looks like the problem is not FIXED for me. I'm still stuck at the HBOOT checking SD card update screen while attempting to root the device. I just got the phone today and followed all instructions to successfully unlock the bootloader. Now this thing is driving me crazy. I read on another thread that the USB charging might contribute to this problem, but I really don't know how to fix this. The SD storage is at default state. I only copied the SuperSU zip file while following the instructions. Please help.
PS: I noticed that the phone is not fully charged. It is somewhere below 50% power. Could this be the case?
Do you flash the custom recovery after successfully unlock the bootloader ?
I couldn't even get into FASTBOOT to type in the necessary commands. It's just stuck there at HBOOT Checking SD Update...Unplugging and replugging the USB cable got me in with FASTBOOT USB, but then the FLASH RECOVERY IMG command prompt execution just got stuck at waiting for device. So no recovery whatsoever at this stage.

Pull USB Cable and it will work, then put it in again
Already tried that mate. The command prompt shows waiting for device and stuck there.

Try reinstall HTC Sync for the drivers perhaps!?
Your SDK Kit with fastboot and adb commands is working?
Reboot PC?

Yes. I used those to unlock the bootloader. And if HTC Sync is the problem, I wouldn't be surprised. It doesn't detect the phone when it is plugged in . Even the installation was troublesome. I had to set to Windows XP compatibility to install it on Win8 CP 64bit

So you do have "My Htc" under Android USB Devices when checking the Device Manager in your PC, maybe uninstall and reinstall HTC Sync will help ?
Uhm no. I don't have anything that's called My HTC or Android and the like in my device manager . Don't know why but I got through the bootloader unlocking process by following the HTCDev instructions
Then download the Htc Sync and install it as it will install the required driver. You can uninstall the htc sync but leave the driver.
Give it a try and see how it goes.
Uninstalled and reinstalled HTC Sync a dozen times, still no luck. I highly suspect the drivers are incompatible with Windows 8 x64 at the moment. Like I said, the installation requires WinXP compatibility mode, otherwise the installer gave me the 'administration privileges' error, even though it was 'run as administrator' already . HTC Sync itself didn't detect my phone at all when it was plugged in. Better wait for HTC Sync Manager then
I just updated the HTC sync from the link above and the installation went smoothly. The different is I'm on Windows 8 32 bit. I remember that Htc Sync is working fine for my other laptop which was on windows 8 x64 but unable to test it now as I reverted to windows 7.
Strange. The link you provided clearly said the latest version was 3.2.20. But when I pressed download, the exe file said 3.2.10? Perhaps they forgot to update their download server? Damn. I had high hope with the One X. But looks like I'll stick with the iPhone a bit longer, until HTC sorts things out.

Mass storage problem

Hello,
I still have a problem with pc detecting. I make a picture from my bootloader screen.
I think this is not normal. How is yours?
But in recovery mode the mass storage visible.
That's because you have the usb cable hooked on .... take it off and repeat all precious steps. No such messages again

hmmm,it was not pluged in at that time. This happend when i pluged out.
Oke....and what if you enter the bootloader - hboot - recovery without a cable attached from the beginning. Could be bad timing while unplugging it

Everything as going well, exept PC dosent detect the device
Its any way to put data to the mass storage? If i can put a ROM and installing, i can use the phone without usb connection.
Nah i mean :
Enter the bootloader without a cable connected, hook the cable once you are in and flash the boot.img, unhook it again and enter the recovery and then connect the usb cable once again.....mount the sdcsrd and copy a rom.....install a new rom
Hello everybody. I have next problem: when I try to connect my HOX to computer in mass storage mode, nothing happens on the computer. However on the phone everything goes as it has to go. I have CM 10.2 RC1 installed. And I've noticed one thing: when I get into the fastboot menu and then connect the device to the computer, the phone gets freezed. When I disconnect the device, everything goes well again.

I am glad to tell you that the problem had solved! I did next acts: typed in the command line 'pnputils -e', so I could see all drivers I have installed and their 'oem*.inf' files. I had 4 HTC drivers, it was like they were in a conflict. Then I deleted each driver with such command: 'pnputils -f -d <oem file name>'. So after that, I plugged in the cable and the HOX was recognized by the computer! Please tell me if you had the same problem and it was solved by the method above!

Wont recognize USB or charge. (help!?)

As the title says my phone will not recognize when a usb cable is plugged in. However if I take the battery out and plug in the phone it will boot and begin charging when i replace the battery but as soon as I reboot its right back to not seeing the cable. Ive tried restoring a backup in TWRP from before the issue started and that didnt help. Any Ideas? Also even when I do the battery work around my computer still wont see the device.
Windows will recognize the phone in bootloader mode so I do have access to fastboot commands.
What version of Windows and do you have the LG drivers installed?
Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
Windows 7 and yes i have lg drivers installed. But I dont think that is not the issue here. Its not that the computer wont recognize the phone its that the phone wont recognize a usb cable attachment at all. This has something to do with the phone and apparently its on a really deep level. I have done a full system wipe and even formatted the internal storage then installed the stock 20E update and bootstack and even that didnt help. Ive tried using KDZ to factory restore the phone but for some reason when its in download mode it isnt being read as a LG phone but as a generic ADB device.
Update: so I finally did a full factory restore with the stock recovery and the phone would identify a usb cable plugged in, It was charging with a wall charger and would be read by my computer however as soon as I reboot the phone the problem returns.... so after a wipe all is wel but rebooting breaks the phone again. could something be happening during boot up that would cause the usb port not to register. Im so confused.
