[How-to] Change MainVer area code - HTC One X

IF your mainver is X.YY.ZZZ.ZZZ ; X and YY values cannot be downgraded (and there is no reason you may want to upgrade, didn't try, will not)
1. Fastboot oem rebootRUU
2. Fastboot getvar all
3. note down this 3 variables
ModelID: PJ4610000
CIDNUM: "yourCIDhere"
version-main: 3.16.XXX.XX
version-baseband: X.X.XXXXXXX
Click to collapse
4. Make a PJ46IMG.zip with your CURRENT boot.img (refuses to parse-image without anything to flash ..)
and this code in android-info.txt
ModelID: PJ4610000
CIDNUM: "yourCIDhere"
MainVer: 3.16.XXX.XX
RadioVer: X.X.XXXXXXX
Click to collapse
5. The X's are the values you can change.
Didn't try on locked bootloader, but it should not work.

For what is it?

[Q] after flash Revolution HD 10 my phone does not boot

I am having big trouble with my HTC One X
I am using for a long time Revolution and this morning I tried to make a update
Did everything what was printed here:
Did the boot 10.bat
Wiped data
Installed the zip Android_Revolution_HD-One_X_10.6.zip
After this nothing is happening even after 30 minutes waiting with the HTC Logo
Went to recovery but can't mount the USB message appears down: unable to open ums lunfile
What went wrong?
Is there a way to get into my memory card?

Did you checked your CID
Firmware Supported CIDs:
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__016
cidnum: HTC__J15
Check your CID using this commend: 'fastboot oem readcid'.
If your CID is not in this list above, unfortunately you can't flash JB, stay with ICS for now.
And did you use super wipe?

You should be able unlock, flash clockworkmod 5.8.4.0, flash boot.img and then copy rom on using cwm, and flash it.

Mate there's loads of guides on here. Might be worth just sticking to ICS for the meanwhile the bean is overrated. It'll get it easier to flash it eventually. Have you tried it the way Google intended yet?

In relation to the memory situation if your boot loaders unlocked. Use the HTC one x toolkit flash clockwork mod that way then you can mount the USB that method

PJ46DIAG Chinese Bought Diag File from SOFF guy

Hey guys, a friend in china soffed his device at a shop. And i asked him to buy the diag file for like 200 yuan, which is something along the likes for 40 bucks. However, he said it is pretty much useless without the white card or gold card. I went to the soff thread and saw that they tried the diag file. Not sure whether this is the same, but gotta try right? Please dont flame, if its the same diag file, then just ignore this thread, and it will be closed shortly

guys, do not try if u dont know wat ur doing. the process should be short, my friend said it was done in less than a minute, and these were the files he used. however.the shop used a gold card to load the file, which costs 6000yuan with 100 access per card. making it 1000 dollars for us.

So, to resume: We have the diag, need a goldcard where to put the diag on, then we need a cardreader, in wich we put the goldcard. Then we connect the cardreader to an external powered usb Hub, an the, with an OTG Cabel to the HoX, right?

I am going to bet this is the clean diag : )
Product (endeavoru) = platform (HBOOT-T30S)
Anyone can confirm that this file seems for One X, by doing this "fastboot getvar all" and compare the values.
Now we only need the green light from Xmoo and some golden information from his side.
Only putting the diag on the virtual sdcard would be to easy, or? Or Flashing it via CWM?

system Apps missing after flashing 4.2.2 update

Well guys,
I downloaded the OTA 4.2.2 update ASIA WWE,
my phone was rooted so i first tried formatting the system and installing the update from CWM but it failed,
so i relocked bootloader, extracted the firmware.zip and flashed it using adb, and my update was installed...
but what i noticed was that now many apps from the ics stock rom were missing... there are ony a few apps in the drawer, no built-in wallpapers, no power menu (phone simply reboots on pressing and holding power button) , only google account can be added etc... just wanted to ask if thisis normal? or i have to flash ruu for 4.1.1?

there is no good or bad RUU ...but for your CID and mainversion doesn't exist such a high RUU version ...no CID does have such a high RUU version...you can only use a nandroid backup...but please don't ask for guides...there are enough where you can look yourself

Two questions on google dialer and getting latest firmware

First up I love the google dialer but when I install it it works fine unless I go to recent calls then it force closes. Is there a fix to this?
Also it took me going back to a stock ROM to get firewater to work I am s off now but how do I get the latest firmware on my phone. Also what is the latest firm ware. I would like to use the latest stock sense ROMs.
Thanks in advance.
Anyone?
Poo
Hi,
regarding Google dialer I can't tell. Are you using the GPE or GSM edition?
Assuming you are using GSM. Please name your MID/CID to be abled to check what the latest stock ROM version - and thus firmware - is.
In case of WWE with CID HTC__001 I could tell you that it is Android 4.4.3 with version number 2.22.401.5 and the corresponding firmware.

Better do it according to one of the manuals that can be found here. As I wanted to guide you I asked for the MID/CID. Can you provide this, as then I would be able to help you flashing newest firmware.

As far as I an see a backup and stock recovery can be found here. But it still is the 1.xx.xxx . Nevertheless you could install this and run an OTA to get the latest 2.xx.xxx ROM and firmware vetsion.
Edit:
Regarding your bootloader version 3.16 you are still on 1.xx.xxx firmware so the backup and stock recovery on the link given above are going to work. After this you can go for the OTA. So - assuming again that you are on the stock ROM as written in you first post - what I would do is:
1) download CWS stock recovery and flash it:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
2) fastboot reboot
3) check for OTA and install the latest to get onto 2.xx.xxx ROM an firmware
Now you can flash custom revocery and either root the stock ROM or install a custom ROM designed for 2.xx.xxx firmware.
Alternatively the 1) you could download a CWS firmware.zip (don't know where to find it right away) and flash it:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmwarename.zip
ATTENTION: DO THIS TWICE FOR FIRMWARE TO BE FLASHED COMPLETELY
fastboot flash zip firmwarename.zip
fastboot reboot

****.......this is soooo over my head.....thanks for your help but I don't want to mess my phone up. If there was a video on exact how to do it i would do it but all that looks confusing.
According to my experience video tutorials lead to more confusion and cause more havoc on the phone than to follow a good written guide and some help by the members of this forums.
The problem of video tutorials is that you never collect the experience in what your doing causes and thus do not understand why problems may arise, let alone how to solve them.
