lol he has the one x if you look in his log from getvar all then you see it's the hox
at OP
there is no good or bad RUU ...but for your CID and mainversion doesn't exist such a high RUU version ...no CID does have such a high RUU version...you can only use a nandroid backup...but please don't ask for guides...there are enough where you can look yourself

And since you are locked you should have warranty if something is wrong !

First off all if your bootloader is locked you can't flash anything, second is that when it can't load the file it has or the wrong name or it is not in the fastboot folder !

Long hair ,beautiful eyes , ass like beyonce ,that's thing to look for a good RUU

Any one in this form: x.xx.401.xx
The 401 is the part that differs with different cid's.
Hi guys n gals!
I need help lol.
I want to send in my phone for repair under warranty so I'm trying to unroot, as you do...
The problem I'm having is finding the right files, RUU and also the right version to go with the right kernel. Also which order to do things.
I have been looking at a lot of tutorials and posts, a lot of which have dead links to the files they refer to.
My CID is HTC_001. So I believe I need to have the RUU with 401 in the version no. I have located this file RUU_Endeavor_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe which seems to be available.
My hboot is 1.39 and I'm not sure how this affects things?
I'm currently running venom x version 4.0.7 with stock kernel.
I don't want to take up a lot of anyone's time, but just to let me know what the right files are and if available, where to get them.
Thanks a million.
Actually this is a newer version from the same place RUU_Endeavor_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
Would this be a better option?

Thanks, I'm downloading it now. Is there anything else I need to be careful with? Like which stock recovery do I need?
And as for re-locking the bootloader, that has to be done last right?
To run an ruu you need locked or relocked bootloader.
Fastboot oem lock
Once you dl the ruu put the phone in fastboot usb and right click the .exe run it as administrator. Let the ruu to complete and you are back on stock.

Any suggestions?

I just re-unlocked the bootloader and now I´m back in venom but I think with stock recovery.
I tried running the ruu again with the phone fully charged and it still says the battery is below 30%. How can this be???
Please help me someone, I have spent all day trying to sort this and none the wiser for my efforts!
Thanks.

As your main version has not been lowered, you will need a goldcard and to flash a RUU that works for your phone.

final update.... i managed to create a gold card using another android phone, sony ericsson xperia pro , the card did his job, i managed also to rewrite a new rom to the phone. but the old problems camed back, the phone still freezes , so now for sure its a hardware issue. Ill send it to a service to figure the problems out and if the reparing cost are ok, then ill do it, if not..... i belive the phone will be sold for spare parts... so sad... it was a good phone.. Big thanks for your help.... and for the moderator..i guess topic closed:crying::crying:
Desire HD hangs on startup after update
Hi all,
My DHD stock phone offered an update tonight. After installing the update it rebooted but never came past de startup screen with green HTC. At the end, I pulled out the battery and restarted, but it still gets stuck on the start screen.
Using the volume down button I did a factory reset, with no effect.
Any ideas how I get fix this? I have no idea how to make a gold card (or what it is to be completely honest)
Thanks so much!

here in a few steps what i did to fix the logo screen stuck thing... maybe it guides u in a direction.... first of all i figured it out what rom was in my phone, than with the gold card ( its a card that grants u acces to write rom to your phone if this has a protection activated on it) i simply rewrite the rom, using RUU file ( RUU = rom update utility ) but finally for me its a hardware issue

I guess I need some more detailed steps. rom version would be the latest HTC Sense?
So what exactly is a gold card, is it an sd card specially formatted? In hboot it does say S-on...

i can be contacted on yahoo mes, skype , or name u a method in a private mesage to me, and i will try to help u step by step in this weekend.

I have a rogers htc one x and its stuck on boot screen

Alright so thus far i have
unlocked
rooted
installed twrp and then cwm recovery because i the tutorial called for twrp and i wanted to install with cwm
then here is where i had issues, i installed an Endeavor rom on my Evita device, it was an honest mistake
because its my friends phone and i did not know enough about it.
Now where i am at is i have tried different roms to try to fix it
then factory reset
the device has no rom from my understanding, gets stuck on boot but i can get into fastboot and adb push
files to the device with no real issue.

I guess you had re-locked back the device?
You need unlock it yet again to flash custom things.
Curiousity drove me for the question, how you enede up with correct recovery and wrong custom ROM. Don't mess up evita and edeavoru again, it is dangerous.. Remember go back to X+ forum.

[Q] can i get some luck? Going back to stock

Hello everybody,
I tried to install jellytime on my Desire HD, so i used Easy Ace Root Tool.
I used fastboot command to flash the boot.img to the phone and since then, the only menu available is the one of the bootloader.
As far as i tried the ruu packages fail to restore things.
Is there a way (preferably a guide) to return my phone to stock ?
Loading to fastboot now shows:

I found the rom.zip from the second file, renamed it to PD98IMG.zip and inserted it to my sd, but it say CID error.
I saw that everyone says about a goldcard but i don't seem to get it. The goldcard generator i downloaded say they could not locate the CID. Can i download a CID image?
Where should i put it, if i find one?

Try the AAHK2 Script. Make sure you follow all the instructions before using the script.. It will automatically do things for you and just follow the on screen instructions... At the end you will have your Stock Rom perfectly running... :good:

Do not use the AAHK2 if you are trying to return to stock for warranty purposes, thou I highly doubt that you still have warranty on this device .
In order to bypass the CID error you need to use a goldcard. Otherwise, you will need the exact ruu for your device.

After trying the 4.3 beta versions, i tried again to install the original firmware.
As before, the ruu setup did not work. It should, since my cid is HTC__001, and i was trying with every WWE version available.
Anyway, during setup, i found in the temp folder the rom.zip, and within it the necessary boot.img, system.img and recovery.img.
I flashed them through cmd using fastboot.
Everything worked out, now i am back to stock, but i guess that my phone is something like Frankenstein, using the radio and libraries from the last jellytime image i installed...
It works, but i don't recommend it. I think that i finally got lucky, and didn't brick my Desire HD.
Thanks for all your help and interest.

Do not use the AAHK2 if you are trying to return to stock for warranty purposes, thou I highly doubt that you still have warranty on this device .

i think you misunderstood him mate, he flashrd only specific img files from ruu not the whole thing. in this case, radio doesnt get flashed, but that shouldnt be to big of a problem.
to op: custom roms dont contain radios. so radio that is on your device is the same as before you flashed jellytime

Well, RILs are not compatible then, and many AOSP partitions can not work fine with Sense Roms. If he did that then his cell might explode....
forgot about rils and didnt know about partitions.
but expoding cells are not to be taken lightly, especially when put in trouser pocket

Wow...so you added your imei.
Okay.Since you said it happens when you take the device off flight mode. There are some suggestions for you to try.
Check the OP of the rom you downloaded. Maybe it has bugs in the rom that causes your device to act that way. If not, then
What we want to do is flash a radio.img to see if it would fix your radio problem.
Note: Dont try this if you dont have S-Off or you could end up bricking your device.
But first we have to flash an Eng-Hboot in order to flash a radio.img
You can download it from Here.
Once finished, put it on your sd card and boot into bootloader. It would ask if you if you want update. Press volume up and it would reboot and complete the update.
Once its done you would see Eng-Hboot on top of your bootloader info.
Now we can continue to flashing a new radio.
You can find radios for the desire hd in the development thread.(sorry i couldnt give you a link). My ISP is having problems which is resulting poor connections.
If you have trouble finding a radio, just let me know.
EDIT: Here is the link to the radio thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877295

Have you tried setting the model id via fastboot? Like say writting a new one to the device?
Just like how a new CID is written to a device?
Eng hboot says no image or bad img
