Hello,
I purchased 2 Xperia Ion's from Ebay USA for reselling, now its hard time to find an unlock code.
I ordered from cellunlock.net but after 6 working days they want me to confirm the imei number coz the one which I supplied is incorrect (its 100% correct actually)
Can anyone help me out?
Tried ordering from remoteseller.com but as the seller is indian I cannot make a PayPal payment
Just an update, filed a claim on cellunlock.net and they refunded me promptly.
Funny because 8 days after the order they say the IMEI i entered was wrong (which is absurd), the IMEI was 100% correct.
I filed a claim at 6am in the morning (Indian Time) and by 7 I got a refund, which is more funny because my guess was they work in US time zones and close at 6pm.
Scammy minds at work!
Managed to get it unlocked for $45

EBay is Cheaper
This seems to be a promotional thread that is a lie. I don't see any thanks from people who got free codes. I didn't get any answer to my PM even though it was on the 1st of the month. I'm pissed off.
BUY YOUR CODE FROM A TRUSTED EBAY SELLER AND NOT THIS GUY! IT'S CHEAPER.
This guy wants 30 euros to unlock your Defy. On ebay, prices go from 5 to 20 euros depending on who the phone is locked too.. Just be sure to check their feedback and refund conditions before bidding.
Yeah I never got any reply from him either. However.....in a list of unlockers on Cellphoneforums.net one unlocker upn.com was offering the same deal! And so I got my Defy+ unlocked for free. Great because it was an Aussie one and some US unlockers couldn't do it. It looks like he's not offering the deal atm so don't know if it's a regular thing or not...but it's worth hunting - it did take me about a week to find it though....

Nice. Did you create that account just to spam this thread!
There are no free unlock codes on that forum. Only your friend doing it for 25 euros. EBAY IS STILL CHEAPER... and you have some degree of buyer protection if you use paypal.
No my friend I kid you not - I did get a free unlock. My video is @ youtu.be/BPYtcrw6Nh0 (sorry can't post the link). At first I thought it was a scam and there was no way they would refund my unlock fee, but they did I'm guessing they only do it now and then and I just got lucky.

Lucky you.
I used a guy on ebay called sonicpromo(He's got a web site too but it's cheaper on ebay.) Got a 16 digit code that worked for 14 UKP. Took 2 days to get the code. My phone was locked to Vodafone ES.
Vodafone ES wouldn't unlock it because that's the way Vodafone ES is. Of course they couldn't just tell me strait up they won't unlock it. No, they made me wait a month first, and after hassling them a bit, they finally tolled me they wouldn't do it. Not couldn't, but wouldn't.
I purchased Galaxy Nexus in dailysteals.com a month and a half ago when it was on sale for $460 (prior to google play availability) and yesterday it refused to power on from power off mode.
I did standard steps (recharge, battery out, sim card out, press and hold power, etc) countless times but the phone does not respond.
It only responds to charger in a sense that it shows charging signal but the phone still not powering on.
The phone might have gotten wet 2 days ago from rain when it was in my shorts, otherwise I have no explanation for this breakdown.
So I called Samsumg USA where I live and they asked for IMEI and they said this IMEI does not show in their system and advised to call Poland Samsung.
I called Poland Samsung (appears that dailysteals had Polish region version) but they have menuy on Polish and I cannot navigate it.
I called UK Samsung which is supposed to serve EU but they said since I reside in US and bought it from US reetailer Samsung USA should serve me (I explained I have been through it but this was no good).
I called dailysteals but they obviously do not respond, their reputation on Web reviews is not giving me any hope.
I feel going full circle for warranty and stuck. Did anyone succeed getting warranty service for international phone imported by apparently non-authorized reseller? What about non warranty service, I assume repairing it is cheaper than buying a new one, since screen and everything is supposed to work...
Any option for repair before selling it for parts like screen on ebay which I presume works OK?

How wet did it get? If it is moisture or water damage, then i would say sell it for parts but you might still have hope. I would suggest taking it down to a local cell phone store and ask them to run some diagnostics or open the device and check for burnt or damaged areas from the water.
Good luck to you.
Spent hours with Samsung on the phone today. They have assured me there is no place that would service it in the US on warranty and off warranty, Not a good situation as European Samsung also flatly rejected my request.
I gave up on repair and will try to file Purchase protection water damage with Amex. If this does not work will sell for parts to someone who needs screen and other staff, amazing that one cannot get it serviced anywhere in the world except maybe Poland and I do not speak Polish to navigate their voice menus (called there too).

Well you bought a grey market European device. Samsung USA does not have to service it because its a Euro device, and Samsung Europe doesn't have to service it because you're trying to file the claim from the USA.
Unfortunate but this was widely known when you bought the device. This is why buying from a reputable importer that is willing to help with warranty is important.
Did anyone here bought their HTC One X from eXpansys recently, latest 1 or 2 weeks? What model did you receive? HT? SH? Next 3 characters after that?
If you don't have your country on your profile, where are you from? Most countries seem to have same warehouse but I believe this is different for the UK, for instance.

I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. I live in Finland and got UK version of the phone. S/N is HT23Y*******. What does it mean?
I've bought Polar White model, about 10 days ago, on eXpansys.fr.
It seems to be UK version (No "France" in profiles) and S/N is HT23Z**** (means from Hsinchu, Taiwan, 2012, March 31 - as explained Here).
I haven't found any issue or fault on it.

I was hoping they would've newer models by now... I'm afraid of getting a faulty one and then have to send it back. It's just not a good time for me to be bothered with such things but they have a discount coupon of 30€ valid up until tomorrow (for the Portuguese store at least) and I need to make a decision by then :/
Bought Polar white model on Expansys.us
Got the HT23YW that has very bad sceen flex problem.
Now, I am in the middle of the exchange for replacement process.

Have you read feedback from Portuguese ppl on this thread ?
On the website, any negative advice ??
30€ is a good discount (sometimes there's bad reason why they offer such coupon but if this one is time-limited, maybe it is just commercial special offer !!!)
EDIT : Why not calling Expansys to know which serial they have ? Number is on the box, they don't need to open it.

I've already e-mailed them a few weeks ago explaining the problems with the One X and if it was possible for them to send one with a latter serial number but they said it was not possible to do so. They would happily refund or replace the device if there was any issue with it. But what I really wanted was to minimize the possibility of that happening...
I ordered mine from expansys.qa (Qatar Website) (HTC One X White) received on 16 May from France, had some black finger prints on back of device. Also the ONE X cover which have all serial details was missing from the white box and also some black marks on box too. I complained about it but didn't get any reply from expansys.
Anyhow I wiped of the marks and started using it. My device serial no. is HT23XW. I don't find any screen issues as other users are reporting. However I think the battery life is not great.
I did HTC battery test with airplane mode on and max brightness and lost 91% in 1 hr. On idle lets say if battery is on 70% and I check after 7 hrs I will find battery on 70%. The problem is when I start using the phone battery drain is fast. This evening I was reading news feed on facebook app and used tapatalk app over WIFI, lost 14% in 30 mins. Guys tell me your views about battery is this battery drain ok ? or something wrong with my device ?
Edit: my software version is 1.29.401.11 .. Applied 2 updates after receiving and its not rooted
Mine is over at Expansys USA for replacement (arrived this morning). Have been in contact with the CS over there, but after my tracking said my phone arrived they have gotten all hush hush with me and haven't replied.
I guess there might just be a ton of returns ahead of mine :/ If they have to refund, that might be ok... the One X looks to have dropped in price recently Though the bad news is we don't know when new shipments will be in.
i had HT23Y from expansys.si (an UK version of a device) and im just in a replacement procedure (because of a "minor" yellow spots on a screen and screen flex issues) as I am waiting for a new one. Will report which serial I get
wish me luck!
Ordered mine mid May from Expansys Australia. SN SH24L...
Have noticed no issues with the device - very satisfied.
I just received an Oppo Find 7a from Oppomart yesterday. I ordered a 16GB international GSM phone from their site (x9007) but received an X9000. When I emailed Oppomart support, they replied "sorry, since the phone from us was sent from China, it was not the international version."
In addition, it will not boot. Even after hours on the VOOC charger, the screen message says the battery is too low. Oppomart support replied "for the charging, please charge the phone for one day, it must have no problem."
Considering that the big selling point of the VOOC charger is 75% in 30 minutes, it seems shady to suggest I charge it for ONE DAY!
So, am I having an unusual experience with Oppomart? Or is this no surprise?
Should I try to deal with Oppo directly?
The Chinese man behind Oppomart stole me 400 euros:
I buy a Huawei p6+ , the man sent me a used Huawei p6.
When i contacted him he said me to send back the pone, i paid to send back the phone.
I track the packet, after more 2 month the packet arrived to oppomart, I contact him and he said:
“I’m sorry the packet arrived empty are you sure you put the phone inside?”
PayPal time expired so I have no way to reclaim my money, be very carefull with this fraud from Oppomart.com
If you suffer the same fraud please report here is the only way to stop this
Bought the phone off ebay in mint condition. seller has sent me a receipt showing he purchased the unit outright from motorola. Device doesn't show any lease obligation that any one i spoke with at sprint could see. After replacing the sim the unit works for a while (first time it was days, next time is was about 12 hrs) the unit ask for a pass code and gives a message saying it's under lease. I've been to the sprint store twice this week replaced 2 sim cards and spent 6 hrs on the phone with support. any help is appreciated
