Bought the phone off ebay in mint condition. seller has sent me a receipt showing he purchased the unit outright from motorola. Device doesn't show any lease obligation that any one i spoke with at sprint could see. After replacing the sim the unit works for a while (first time it was days, next time is was about 12 hrs) the unit ask for a pass code and gives a message saying it's under lease. I've been to the sprint store twice this week replaced 2 sim cards and spent 6 hrs on the phone with support. any help is appreciated

Hi has anybody else had problems with this company. I pre-ordered the phone on t-mobile recommended contract on the 13th March. Pre-order deal was 4gb memory card, in car charger and £40 worth of free goodies to which I chose an 8gb card.
- 4 days after recieving the phone I found they hadnt activated my contract so had to do it all over the phone
- 6 days later still my number hasnt been ported. Called up T-mobile had to re-submit my code for porting.
- 10 days later no freebies or goodies arrived. called mpd customer services they had to re-submit my order.
- 19 days later they sent me a 4gb card not recieved anything else!
Everytime I speak to a customer rep online they dont come across friendly and never even said thanks for buying from mobilephonesdirect they just hang up or close the chat! very ignorant for a phone company I think.
Anyone else had problems?
It's a shame you're just out of the 14 day cooling off period, else you could have just sent it back.
They've been really, really sloppy with the release of the Desire. I ordered one from them, and after phoning them literally every day for 9 days to try and set up my sim card, I told them to shove it, and sent my phone back. I haven't heard from them since, so I'm hoping its all good
I had a nightmare of a time with them, pre ordered mine 1st march, cancelled 1st april but they still sent me out 2 phones attached to contracts, its taken me the best part of 2 weeks to get it sorted.
I wont be touching them anytime in the future thats for sure, customer support is appauling and i could never get through on the support line, always ended up using sales.
I didn't have any problems with em, ordered on the a Sunday and it arrived by Wednesday with the free car charger. However, I didn't pre order or take it on a contract.
its flaming annoying. Now they just sent me a bill for a 4gb sd card which comes free. Im getting very cheesed off now! Still haven't received my freebies, they told me there's a huge back order for them.
Beware MPD
Same here.
Preordered in March. Delivered on April 7th.
T-Mobile sim set up for Nokia 6700. Max connection speed 356k because of this. T-Mobile wont switch it to HSDPA speed without £5 per month extra charge.
Ordered 8Gb memory card. Delivered a 4Gb card 2 weeks later. Billed me for it yesterday.
This is the worst company I have every dealt with!
it must be contracts? I had a good experience with MPD. I was weary about ordering from them but was happy with the service for the most part. Updates on the website were not that regular.
I ordered a T-Mobile PAYG Desire the evening of the 7th. It arrived the following Monday. I was surprised considering the stock shortages. The 4GB card was already in the phone.
Based on what I read here, probably on for PAYG or SIM free only. Sounds like they struggle with contracts.
Thank god I didn't buy from them. They wouldn't confirm whether the handset was sim-free/unbranded on PAYG despite plenty of people suggesting otherwise so I went to Handtec and got it from there.
Mine was fairly smooth to be honest. A little bit of a mixup with my order but it arrived about two days later complete with free HTC car charger.
The only issue I had, which I think everyone had, is T-Mobile think you're on a Nokia N900 when you activate your contract so won't put you on the free (and apparently faster) internet tarrif.
It was quite simple to talk to T-Mobile and get this changed and there was no suggestion of paying an extra fiver and now I'm getting DL speeds of about 1600kbps and can use the booster for my text messages instead.
Hello,
I purchased 2 Xperia Ion's from Ebay USA for reselling, now its hard time to find an unlock code.
I ordered from cellunlock.net but after 6 working days they want me to confirm the imei number coz the one which I supplied is incorrect (its 100% correct actually)
Can anyone help me out?
Tried ordering from remoteseller.com but as the seller is indian I cannot make a PayPal payment
Just an update, filed a claim on cellunlock.net and they refunded me promptly.
Funny because 8 days after the order they say the IMEI i entered was wrong (which is absurd), the IMEI was 100% correct.
I filed a claim at 6am in the morning (Indian Time) and by 7 I got a refund, which is more funny because my guess was they work in US time zones and close at 6pm.
Scammy minds at work!
Managed to get it unlocked for $45
I did a mistake of buying Zenfone 2 for CAD 400+ including taxes. It used to become extremely hot but I ignored it. Then after 10 months of use the screen started to flicker and started having vertical stripes. I tried to use Asus Advanced Replacement program. The agent sent me information asking me to provide my credit card information to put a hold on my card. I did and they put a USD 400 hold. A day later I received an email that I should resubmit my card information as the agent was not properly trained and provided wrong information.
I contacted customer service to avoid having double hold on my card, the agent told me NOT to resubmit the credit card information and ASUS will fix it on their end. For several days nothing happened with several calls to ASUS. At the end of the week, one agent investigated to resubmit my information. I did and it did work but guess what?
They sent me a replacement phone which has exactly the same issue of screen flickering with vertical stripes out of the box. Really bad quality control by Asus Canada (they shipped the unit from their Markham office). Any way I sent my original phone back to remove hold on my card and contacted Asus again for issues in the replacement unit.
Asus this time asked me to offer cross shipment that is I send the phone by Fedex (paid by Asus) and call customer support to provide the tracking number. Asus would send another phone before receiving the phone I sent. I did call them and provided the tracking information and Asus agent was able to verify it on Fedex website
As of today, Fedex website shows that Asus have already received the unit. However they have not shipped the replacement from their side (breaking their contract). I contacted several times to Asus and each person told me a different story. The last agent told me that they will ship the unit within 48 hours and she has not seen in my case anything about the tracking information. Does this means that previous agents did nothing? And why 48 hours after receiving the unit, it was supposed to be cross shipment.
Over all
Very bad customer service and untrained agents at Asus based on this experience
Very BAD quality control as the first replacement unit was faulty out of the box.
The original unit did not worth CAD 400+ at all
Did anyone who bought directly from them get a return box to send old N7 back yet?
Where do you live?
In the UK, at least, the UKMail driver who delivered the replacement unit took away the old one at the same time, in the bag that the new one came in.
I opted for the pickup. Received a call from a recycling company. Lady was very nice. I told her I can't schedule to pick it up until I get my new device. She understood and said she will call me back today. Good news is my replacement should be delivered today as well.
I'm in NY btw.
I'm in the US and I got my replacement yesterday. I called today and they said the boxes to return the old device would be shipped out next week.
Got a call from Stericycle to pickup my old device tomorrow.

Good to know, no refund for me until they get it back. Didn't want to wait so bought a replacement Note7 locally just as the whole process was beginning.
Got the box today but still no device yet.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA-Developers mobile app

Oh really? You bought it from Samsung.com?
Shoot, I've been calling those idiots many many times since they started the #galaxynote7 recalls. Every time when I called, they always says they'll be sending me the return shipping label. And I'm still waiting. Good thing I paid through paypal. I filled dispute charges. 10 days later NO respond from Samsung.com. Now Paypal refunded me back $925.43.
Bought mine from the Verizon on-line store, and had the replacement shipped to me as well. Received a txt from VZW earlier this week that a box w/return label was being shipped to me, and it arrived this morning.
I'm quite glad that I didn't take the risk of returning it to a VZW corporate store and potentially have to give up the accessories that came with the phone. The instructions were very clear that the phone itself is all that should be returned (you can view the instruction sheet in my post over in the VZW Note 7 Q&A forum).

My credit card bill is due next week. If no box received by then, I will also call my card and hold back payment. Better to have that money on my side till they get their sh**t together.
So I got the box today. Sending back for full refund. Interesting thing is the box has no provisions to send back any included accessories, only the phone itself. seem they mean for me to the keep charger, cable etc.
Device - Samsung S22 (256GB) Green
After a gruesome exeperience of 8 visits with the Samsung service center over battery drainage issues, I received the DOA certificate from the Samsung service center. I have mailed it to [email protected] as well.
Is there an option of opting for Refund on the device rather than getting a replacement device?
Please share any of your experience if you were able to get a refund/replacement device
Send back to where you purchased it and do a charge back through the bank MC you used.
Unfortuntely

Unfortunately dont have this option in India as far as I know.
The support center mentioned they would be shipping the replacement device in 5 days, but I have insisted on a refund. They have been stalling past 3 days. Awaiting update on it today.
Just wished to know if anyone was able to secure a refund instead of a replacement and any other process they followed.

In the US what I do if the merchant refuses a refund:
Call bank of card used, tell them what happened, that I want a full refund and why.
Send device back. Wait.
Most bank will issue a temporary refund in a few days pending completing the charge back which takes about 30 days.
India is complicated, a lot of that comes from it being a former British colony. The vendor doesn't want an open box special. Tough.
Use whatever resources at your disposal including state to get it refunded in full. Badger Samsung too about the vendor.
Personally I think the N10+ N975U1 is a better phone in real life usage. I think Samsung could be doing much better builds with their flagships but they just aren't...
