Anybody know if the charger port flex cable is the same for the sprint version sph-d710 as the i9100?
My port is bad and I want to buy this flex cable on ebay item number 130738126489
I cant post links yet. Thanks.
As long as its a micro USB it'll do, however some don't have the right #of pins and might not work (noticed this when I bought one new)

Ooppss xD read the post wrong. OK so on eBay it says that its for the I9100 so I wouldn't buy it only because it doesn't specify that its for the D710 (unless you don't care about the 15% restocking fee).

Personally I love the Anker products.
I have one of their Astro3 1000mAh Dual 2A USB External Battery Backup Charger's.
I use mine to charge many devices plus this is the only external charger I have found that will successfully recharge my ASUS Transformer Prime.
The Anker Astro3 has a unique ability to not only charge 2x USB points but also has an additional 1x Output where you can alter the charge level between 9V & 12V.
The ASUS Transformer Prime requires 11.8V
The Astro3 is a BRILLIANT piece of hardware.

Amazon (dot) com then search for "anker s3". You'll see.
Btw, they just emailed to let me know that this battery is not compatible with the Anker Universal Charger. :-< Probably, gotta wait for them to release the compatible one.

That's disappointing.....I just ordered 2 of these batteries and was hoping to have them charged and ready to go when my S3 arrives. Did they say why the charger isnt compatible?

They said:" the charger cannot charge the i9300 because most of our batteries are 3.7V nowadays n can work with currently universal charger."

Hello everyone.
I messed up my external antenna port on my Galaxy S2. The device works 100 percent except there is no antenna. I am looking to buy a new mainboard for it. However, i cannot find a place that sells them for a REASONABLE price. People on ebay are asking 150+ for JUST the main board. Thats absurd. For 50 more bucks you could get a fully operational one from CL.
I did however find an entire phone with a cracked LCD for 80 bucks but was stupid and didnt "buy it now" but does anyone either have a broken one or know of where to get parts for it?
Thanks.
Keep checking eBay I found a used motherboard for 80 bucks worked perfect

Damn. I hate you. lol. I just bought an entire device with a cracked LCD but when i swapped the main boards out, and booted. The IMEI is "Unknown" and now im in the process of figuring out how to restore it or getting a full refund as there was no mention of bad IMEI or USB port..

well I took the t989 apart tonight and the power button inside was dangling. so I quickly broke it the rest of the way in my haste to see what was wrong with it.. other than that I ripped the little tape that goes from the headset jack that connects to the top speaker (i presume).... now I see how easily parts can be replaced =]
but I need to buy the parts though and looked for an hour or more with no real luck and thought Id post here to see if anyone knew where to get/find these parts.
basically the power button is EDIT;:; the power button is getting a soldering gun =]
i need that [music earplug] 3.5mm jack part that connects to the mic and the vibration ( thanks for the 411 ) that reads 30zm on the top and looks like 1a1705 on the bottom and one of the tiny screws to complete the device
anyone knows where to look or a link would be very helpful and much appreciated. thanks ~Rushing
all this just after I made the first odexed jellybeast ROM =[
here is a pic of the part i need.. my hand looks different than most lol im from elsewhere... we crashed after I tried to fix the ship. my bad =[ =] now i reside here. Earth... we couldnt get the parts... =]
http://www.parts4repair.com/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-t989/ not sure if this helps but try this and see
I believe the part that broke is your vibrating module.
Heres a link for a replacement piece.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GALAXY-SII-...OTOR-HEADPHONE-JACK-EAR-SPEAKER-/321051710072
And heres a two pack of the broken power button.
http://www.ebay.com/bhp/galaxy-s2-power-button.
However keep in mind, these replacement parts are usually not the same quality as the OEM.

That is kind of you.
Where I work we do phone and tablet repairs, I work mainly on laptops But we have all the tools to re-flow and re-ball we are starting to do PS3 and XBOX360 gpu re-balls. The magnification visor is my favorite tool in the shop when it comes to working on a phone and cheap. Makes it really easy to see the tiny stuff your messing with. I recommend for any of you wanting to try and fix your phone's.
Yeah I bought the shell and everything brand new on eBay for 90 bucks battery had exploded and fried the mother board which I knew it wasn't gonna work before I bouhjt it then bought another motherboard some one had soft brick for 90 bucks

Thanks for all you do, Rushing. Nice to see you again.
I'm now on my 3rd S3 which thankfully is still covered by warranty. I really would like to avoid having to go through this over and over but I'm not sure how to avoid the charger port not working properly over time. I don't think I've done anything really to provoke it. I think the case might have angled the port a little so I'll likely stop using that case
I'm curious though - is anyone else experiencing this? Looks like I can do self repair but it would require soldering skills which I don't have

It looks like that is the case. I'm going to try it out myself. Ordered the receiver from Fast Time and a Nokia wireless charging pad from AT&T

I'm having a similar issue in that I cannot charge the phone via the USB. It starts to charge but then the LED goes off. By the morning I am down to 3% charge after 7 hours of being plugged in. I have tried 3 different batteries, 4 cables and ac adapters. I reflashed to stock and then had a Samsung guy at Best Buy reflash again. Same thing happens. The only way I can charge is with an external battery charger or if I use an iPad was charger with my USB cable...go figure.
My S3 is only a couple months old, but so far, it's holding up nicely. Is the issue actually with the charge port, or with lint from your clothes preventing the charger from connecting to the pins in the port?
No phone could have a worse charge port than the Evo 4G. I was lucky to never have an issue with it, but I know tons of people did.
I cleaned the lint out, but it still would not work properly. I also tried different batteries, cables, wall ports, usb ports, everything.

When streaming a video online to the projector, the tablet has so many issues. Sometimes the HDMI disconnects itself and I have to either replug the hdmi cable in again, or change the input on the receiver to something else, and then back to the tablet. Sometimes the projector just goes blank but it keeps playing on the tablet. Sometimes it just stops. It works fine on a computer.
I bought the slimport adapter from ebay for $20.
I've tried several players but all have some sort of issue.
It could be a defective cable. Have u tried using any other ones? I believe I have a powered mhl cable from buy.com for like 10$ plus shipping.

After reading other posts I see this isn't MHL capable, and the cable it requires is expensive. Either way my original thought still deserves looking into. It could just be a defective cable. Have you tested other TV's/tablets with this cable??

Thanks, I'll try it on another TV, and if I have the same issues, I'll try get the adapter refunded.

People are having similar problems with 4.3.
Can someone confirm they are able to mirror their nexus 7 II video without any problems?
Thanks.
