Yes correct, but unfortunately Verizon is such an A$$ and locks the boot loaders on their devices:crying:
Good thing we don't have to deal with that crap.:fingers-crossed:

I think Samsung released UVLl4 twice. I'm curious about this myself. If you go to the UVLl4 thread in development it kinda looks like that.

Hmmm. glad i read that. on the galaxy s 2 T989 you were able to flash ATT radios/modems for those using it on ATT network. reported better speeds and coverage.

If what you're asking is if you can download the modems from samsung, unfortunately you cant. They have to be pulled after applying the ota.

Unlock bootloader??

Can i still flash a custom rom or a radio without having a unlocked bootloader, (im rooted)
Looked bootloader? I thought only HTC's had locked bootloaders..
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Also Sony xperia series have locked bootloader. Galaxy s doesn't. If uvr rooted you have to flash a recovery so you can flash the rom you want it.

Yes for the S4, but tmobile is taking forever to release it. It's out for other companies though

Sprint just got it and theres some debate over whether it locks the bootloader. Hope thats not true. Some say it is, and others say it didnt lock it.
With knockz being part of the update I am betting it is locked boot loader and in root able kernel

This instructions on this website worked for me: http://gs4.wonderhowto.com/how-to/c...y-s4-so-you-can-use-another-sim-card-0148110/
If you tell T-Mobile you're leaving the country they'll do it for you, as well.

I don't think he's asking how to unlock it, he's asking if there's a way to check if it's already unlocked.
I don't think there is without a sim card other than T-Mobile.
go to an atnt store and ask one of the younger dudes he'll do it

Unlocked question

I recently unlocked an S3 for a friend, I did the whole downgrade to 4.1.1 method then the *#197338640# now my question is this, if she upgrades the phone when she's on the new network back to 4.1.2 will it ruin the phone being unlocked? Thanks, first time I've ever done this.
