Unlock bootloader?? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Can i still flash a custom rom or a radio without having a unlocked bootloader, (im rooted)

Looked bootloader? I thought only HTC's had locked bootloaders..

Also Sony xperia series have locked bootloader. Galaxy s doesn't. If uvr rooted you have to flash a recovery so you can flash the rom you want it.

If I'm not wrong Nexus phones are made by samsung. So I don't think they are bootloader locked. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

Thinking of getting s3

I'm thinking of getting a s3 from rogers how hard is it to get custom roms on the rogers models?
Sent from my LT15i using xda app-developers app
Not really All the Roger's Roms work with other carrier devices like att, bell, and telus.
All i747 models
Are the bootloaders unlocked on them? Just wondering if I pick it up if I can mod right away.

Yes correct, but unfortunately Verizon is such an A$$ and locks the boot loaders on their devices:crying:
Good thing we don't have to deal with that crap.:fingers-crossed:

Unlocked question

I recently unlocked an S3 for a friend, I did the whole downgrade to 4.1.1 method then the *#197338640# now my question is this, if she upgrades the phone when she's on the new network back to 4.1.2 will it ruin the phone being unlocked? Thanks, first time I've ever done this.
