The Epic Touch is SPH-D710 so what could this one be?
I am gonna go on a limb and say "L" for LTE. Maybe it is a LTE Epic Touch.

Ohh Good thought! I was trying to think what the L could be. Maybe it's the Nexus then?
It would be amazing if it was lte epic 4g touch Hd with exynos 1.5 =)
Hmmm...I'll update our store's cellebrite transfer machine on Sunday and see if any new phones are listed.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Obviously it is a modified version of our phone. I can't see sprint releasing both an lte touch and nexus since they serve almost the exact same form factor. It isn't the nexus because it has or model number. Probably a keyboard variant is my guess.

If it has LTE, Exynos, and the HD screen, I will buy it.

Yeah, the L is likely LTE, which makes sense because Sprint isn't planning to release any new Wimax phones at this point.
There are some article out about galaxy S2 V2 being released in germany. The v2 is now said to run on a TI OMAP 4430 dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU instead of the original Samsung Exynos dual-core 1.2 GHz.

Does the T-mobile Note 2 really have Quad Core? I'm not fooling for next trick ''Quad core quad core'' Boom T-mobile and all of USA get Dual-Core and old Overclocked GPU. I bought the galaxy s iii a few days ago when i came to realize the dealer had no idea what she was tlaking about. How do i go about ensuring i have a dual core or quad core? The box says dual core but i had believed it to be a quad core..... what do i have?

US models, such as those used on AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint run of dual-core processors while the international S3 has quad-core processors.

You'd have to buy the International Galaxy SIII (i9300). It has the quad core Exynos, but only 1 GB of RAM rather than 2 and no LTE radio. It's not worth it just to get more cores (which aren't by any means an end-all-be-all indicator of performance anyway).
actually, the i9305 (i think that's the model number) is an international version with 2gb of ram and lte.
hey thanks for the information guys think i will be staying with the phone. Wish the people selling the phones would not lie to my face however but after doing some research i can see i still have a great phone and it appears to be better than the international.
the 9305 has both?

no, it's the international version still. try looking in the international forums for people in the us who have gotten the phone, they'd have better advice for you, as i don't own the phone. but if that doesn't help, i'd try finding cell phone sites that sell it and ship to wherever you live.

This.
There's no reason to want more. The dual core + 2gb ram runs everything you phone can run anyway.
Dual core + 2gb RAM beats quad core + 1 GB. Trust me I have a quad core nexus 7 and I can over clock it to 1.7ghz and its still not as smooth as my gs3 at 1.5ghz. The snapdragon s4 is high end dual core, very power efficient and fast. Also can be over clocked to 2.1ghz with ktoonsez kernel.
Anyone else underwhelmed with Galaxy S4 news? Hopefully some of the UI tweaks make their way to the Note II but otherwise Note II better than the S4. Matter of fact the S4 looks like a mini version of the Note II.

Not really. Although it may look the same it has about the same or best features as the one. This phone is great and for those that have a note 2 it may not be that much of an update but for s3 owners it's a decent upgrade. But with lots of the software updates from s4 coming to s3 this phone is more of a phone for those trying Sammy for the first time. In the end this phone is a sure competition to the htc one.

I personally don't see the upgrade for S3 owners but definitely see it for S2 owners. I was hoping for more wow factor since the S series and Note series are typically pretty close to each other save a few small differences.
If this is what Samsung will put out in 2013, I'm waiting until the Note 4.

This. S3 users will be pretty silly to get this upgrade unless money is no object for them. I do like a few this though. The white version for example is not just white it looks like it has a textured face. And the Window for the flip cover. The biggest update would be the AC wifi. I wish the Note 2 had that.
Also anyone catch that it has an IR LED? That's sweet if it does.

Im curious to see if the s4 can be rooted easily because of the new Samsung knox software. It seems like its gonna be hard to flash roms and such cause the features of knox is to shut the phone down if unauthorized software is found. Also the kernel has secure boot on it. Any thoughts on this guys?

I'm really disappointed that they didn't focus on improving design and build quality. I love my Note 2 but will definitely hold out if the Note 3 is just a spec'd up update. It's awesome that the battery is removable and a SD card can be used, but I really believe they could used more premium parts in place of the chrome strip and plastic cover. If struggling HTC is capable of creating a gorgeously designed phone, then Samsung -with all it's resources and money - can definitely design a well-crafted, premium device.
But I am looking forward to the Note 3 and the new features the device will include. I just hope the device doesn't get any bigger (if it does, i hope it's not significantly noticeable) and includes more premium parts. Can you imagine the Note with an aluminum, removable battery cover and a premium chrome belt?
The plastic adds less weight and makes the screen less prone to breaking. I have dropped my phone numerous of times and never had to replace my screen. More weigh equals more weight which equals more mass and force when you drop your phone.
I believe Samsung's goal is to make their phone light and durable. If I had a choice of either protecting my screen or my phone cover I rather had a phone with some nicks than a cracked screen.

13 MP back facing camera, internal storage space of up to 64GB, 1.9 GHz Snapdragon cpu. It's a little better than ours LOL
The Smart Scroll feature is pretty cool. I also like that it can tell if you are watching a video and if you look away from the screen it will auto pause. It comes with 4.2.2 so hopefully it can be easily ported to our Note II

Exynos chip is more optimized . Having it in the s2 you should know. Use the US variant of the s3 vs the international, it is just smoother with the exynos. So that's why its a deal breaker. Not going to settle for less. I really don't care for LTE.

I won a new Galaxy Note 2 of ebay.
The description it had was a Samsung T889 T Mobile Note 2. The only problem is that several different system/speed tests indicates it has a ARMv7 quad core processor. I thought all Note 2s had which is the Exynos Quad 1.6. My speed tests are a lot slower.
Did I just get a fake? I need to two report this to Ebay if that's the case

The galaxy note 2 does use an ARMv7 processor, aka ARM Cortex-A9, aka Exynos 4 Quad, aka Exynos 4412.
Okay, didn't know that. Thank you for clarifying.
Something just doesn't seem right about it though. I got a white case, but black spen. This guy I bought it from also deals in a lot of Chinese products/toys, etc.

I've called Tmobile and Samsung -- both verified the IMEI was good but didn't know anything about the processor/memory aspect. So I took a screenshot of some CPU/RAM information. It was that infamous SMDK4x12 that doesn't tell you if it's a full quad processor or not. Plus the system storage only shows 1.72GB of RAM vs. the 2GB that I thought Tmobile T889 phones were supposed to have. Then there's the ARMv7 processor vesus the 1.6 GHz Exynos 4412 that I thought Note 2's were supposed to have.
I've attached a screenshot of what I'm trying to convey. I'm thinking this is a very, very clever clone.

No, really. Is this a good fake? The processor speeds don't match up and they don't use the same processor. I'm also not able to register the phone on Samsung. Only the IMEI has checked out which I understand can be duplicated. When I put the IMEI into www.imei.info , it comes back with an old Nokia clam shell phone.
So seriously, is this legit?
Internal storage, memory, and processor all check out. Doesn't seem fake
The exynos 4412 processor in the note 2 is an ARMv7 cpu clocked at 1.6GHz. Also the RAM is 2GB not the system storage. And you still wouldn't get the full 2GB due to part of it being reserved for the OS.
Thanks all. I was just concerned about how it came with the wrong color stylus, benchmark tests weren't as fast and not knowing about the processor. I've been scammed once on a North Face jacket that I don't want repeated! :good:

My wife and I got the Note 2's the day they came out from a corporate T Mobile store. I got titanium grey and she got white, we didn't even realize it until we got home that her I Spen was the Spen for the titanium grey phones it actually came that way from the factory. Mistakes happen if you got the phone sealed it could be the same situation my wife was in, if it was not sealed he could have possibly lost the original one and replaced replaced it and then filed to put it in the description.

Just to clarify, the Samsung Exynos 4412 Quad that powers the Galaxy Note II is based on the ARM Cortex A9 reference design. The 'ARMv7' you see refers to the instruction set of the processor.
Hopefully this article can explain things in great enough detail for you but suffice it to say that, from what we can tell, you indeed have a genuine Galaxy Note II. Congrats and enjoy!
