Matthew, the "tomorrow" thing is an inside joke from another thread. The idea is that HTC will release an ICS update tomorrow but tomorrow will never come because by then it will be today.
HTC hasn't announced any release dates since missing the August deadline. They haven't officially said they won't update, but at this point it appears HTC and Verizon have quietly abandoned our phone.

You're out of luck.
They stopped updating that DINC2 awhile ago. I suggest flashing a new ROM.
Even CM7 is missing the love. Last merge was middle of December. Although they did post a New Year's nightly build.

Well tomorrow I'll learn Linux and java and c and c++ and I'll make a kick ass ROM that's 4.2 oh and the phone will have teleportation capabilities.

LMAO!!!
I sort of envy the Thunderbolt owners.
I don't envy them their phone, but their imminent ICS update.
-MROM on DInc2
Why does everyone think they said we will get the update in August, technically they said they will decide by then if they will release the update to us, kind of using lawyer terms to keep them from commiting to an actual deadline. So technically they havent missed the deadline and it could be 100 years from now and they still wouldnt have lied, nkt agreeing with their practices, actually their deceipt disgusts me...

That's just a bugfix, though, not an ICS upgrade. Maybe a little bit closer would be the Thunderbolt ICS OTA that's announced, but even that doesn't matter because what the devs need is the ICS kernel source for the DInc2. Nothing else will help.

You know what would be smart? If google only made two android phones that worked with the next update. One with physical keyboard, one without. Only difference.
And here's something you probably didn't think of as a benefit of that. Over time, communities like XDA would ditch their old phones, and start using the only android phone. Then, there would be a HUGE AMOUNT of support for literally anything that we could think of for Android, and it would ALL WORK all the time, because Android would be universal. Anything at all. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the combined devs on XDA developed a holographic projector out of that phone.
But, sadly, I don't think Google will do that. Oh well. They sure as hell would start pulling people from the iPhone and not push them towards it if they did.

Are you smoking something? ICS didn't come out on a phone until late mid Nov, Mid December for the US. You have NOT been waiting even 8 months. 6 months at the latest and they probably haven't really been working on it for E4GT but for 5.
You complain that a company is wasting time and money to give you something for free? I am sure someone will step forward to say theyre was a bit of advertisement somewhere saying it would be 4.0 upgradable. Guess what we are getting it and some phones like the Xperia Play that they said would are not!

Everyone says this. Sure we want it done right. Its just taking to long. They are a corporation if they wanted it done now it would have been. Yes maybe If five guys were all working on it sure I wouldn't be impatient with them. We aren't talking about a five man team here but a huge corporation as stated. That being said I used to be on T-Mobile network an was told my phone would get an upgrade. Never came. They kept saying they were going to release but they didn't. That's one of the reasons I'm on sprint. Hopefully sprint doesn't pull that same ****. I doubt it will. I shouldnt give a corporation the benefit of the doubt.

Now that we have Android 4.1.1 on our phones, how long do you think before we can all enjoy 4.2.

we don't expect any other update for htc one x.
HTC won't give us 4. 2. Instead, they consider downgrading to 2.3.x.
i think we willl recieeve all 4.x updates but not 5.x updates
IMO, they should skip 4.1.2 and shoot straight for 4.2.x for the One X and One X +. Samsung, as much as I hate to admit it, are better at maintaining devices than HTC. I.e, they had a few old devices that had delayed ICS Upgrades, so instead of wasting time updating those to ICS, they shot straight for JB. That is really smart thinking and I wished HTC had thought of going straight for 4.1.2 instead of 4.1.1
I don't think 4.2.x brings very much to customised devices.

4.2 is the most useless upgrade to android yet.
Apart from photosphere which is a bit gimmicky..
I'd be happy if HTC worked on bug fixes and released the quick settings in the menu.
With 4.1.1 the one X is a nearly complete phone.
Sadly I don't think we will get 5.0, it will take HTC about 4 months to get it out for the new flagship next year yet alone our year old one X.

"Good things come to those who wait"
As of right now, the 4.1.2 roms for our phone is adequate enough. Most 4.2 roms that are currently out for other GS2 equivalents still have several issues that need to be resolved or are in beta. In my opinion, it is much better to wait for a stable 4.2 rom to upgrade to from the current 4.1.2 roms.
So to the devs who are working on getting 4.2 to our T989, take as much time that's needed. It is better to improve a good rom than to fix a broken one, perfection is key. Cheers!
So wait. Are we officially on 4.1.2? I thought s2x wouldn't be getting it until the start of next year? Or was it 4.2?

IMO i think that 4.2 will be released which will be after the international version gets released and who knows when the international version gets released and it will take tmobile a couple of months to customize it so that they can release it for our devices so what i believe in is that when you guys finally hear news about the international version being released then i think you guys can post some threads that are accurate and not confusing most of the people on 4.2
Also on another note i think the thing you guys should put your hopes on is cyanogenmod 4.2.1 which still isnt as stable but for you people who are impatient
and like previously stated in this thread even when it gets released it still might not be a daily rom that you can rely on everyday to use to its full potential so sorry for anyone who got there hopes up

It's not official, yet, as it went from NC3 to NC4 yesterday. What it does mean is that big Yellow is getting ready to roll the release soon, since it's showing up on the device manifest.
The naming convention is:
N= year (2014)
C= month (March)
#= build
They are still smoothing it out, it won't be official till the OTAs start rolling out.
This thread is kinda pointless though, as there is already a thread on RDFs here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2117229

These RDF files just mean that they are working on new builds. The KitKat versions started showing up at the end of February. It's not unusual for it to take 2 to 3 months for them to work out the bugs and get the ROM ready for release. That would put the release into late April or early May if things go the way they have in the past. And yes this thread duplicates the existing RDF thread.
Yep, the RDFs could go for weeks or months before a final OTA is pushed. The better indicator is to watch the Samsung open source center, when the post updated source code the OTA should start pushing in a day or two after.
