So i believe i have soft bricked my phone,
I can get into recovery and download mode, but the phone either loads into download mode or it loads into the galaxy siii boot menu and stays there.
I have 2 backups, neither work.
I have tried flashing stock rom but odin has an error and does nothing afterward.
help please

try different port or cable or computer if you have kies installed uninstall it try redownloading can also try these

oddly enough, i did what i said i tried in my original post on my home computer...and it works... lol
i dont know what was wrong or if i did anything different.
but the issue seems to be resolved now.

Hello, my Sprint Galaxy S3 was running CyanogenMod but I tried last night to flash back to stock and seem to have soft (I hope) bricked the phone. I'm using Odin 3.07 and a copy of the stock tar.md5 file. Now that I've bricked it I can only get into download mode, but my tar flash keeps failing. I've tried reinstalling the USB driver and have used all the different USB ports. I've switched cords and am pretty certain I'm using a good heavy duty cord. Here's where I get hung up. Any help would be appreciated.

well of course it did you probably had ND8 before you had Cyanogenmod; if Odin any stock Rom below ND8 or NDC (if you had ND8 or NDC to begin with) you'll end up with a brick....
I think im soft bricked and ******up pit. I can only flash recovery and it succes only randomly... Battery isnt loading and screen flashes like its going on/off really fast.
When im trying to flash stock rom from sammobile.com it fails with error:

Wow im so blind
Accidentally downloaded n5100 when i have n5110... but it wont even then work. atm trying to install cm trough recovery but it stucks at installing update and suddenly boots to note 8 logo and sits there :crying: wiping data says error "Error mounting /data!" is that problem? Ofcourse its error so its problem but how huge problem is that?
So I rooted my s4 mini i9195 and flashed aicp ver 10 and now I have no wifi, no mobile, no lte, the haptic feedback buttons don't work, no led, and my computer doesn't recognize the s4 mini unless I go into download mode. When I start up the phone it says something about something being wrong with the internal hardware of my phone but it's a brand new phone and I didn't have these problems before flashing this rom. I tried using odin to go back to stock and it fails at nand-write start. I tried loading a new pit and that fails too. I'm completely stuck now. I have no idea what to do. Can someone please help me?

I used cwm.

Can you enter in recovery mode?
yeah, I can. I tried clearing caches and data and flashing aicp over again, it didn't work-in fact, for whatever reason the aicp rom isn't in my sd card anymore.
Try to flash a stock deodexed rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2552363 using your custom recovery
the problem with that is I can't get anything from my computer to my phone because the phone doesn't pop up on My Computer and the phone doesn't give me any options when it's plugged in. It's only recognized when in download mode and trying to do anything in download mode doesn't seem to work.
Download direct to you phone and then move to sdcard or download to pc and than just using a card reader move rom to your sdcard and then try to flash
I can't download directly to my phone, I have no connection whatsoever on my phone.

What firmware did you have before flashing aicp?
It was android 4.4.2 touchwiz I believe but I don't know the details. The phone was up-to-date and it's I9195
Whatever try to restore to a stock rom by flashing a deodexed rom
so the rom flashed properly but I still didn't have mobile data or wifi or haptic feedback. I'm not really worried about the haptic keys because I can just use softkeys if necessary but the mobile data and wifi are an issue. LED worked when I shut the phone down to put it into download mode to flash the modem. Flashing the modem was unsuccessful:

Does this mean that I should flash a new bootloader? I never unlocked knox because beyond voiding the warranty, I didn't think it would have any effect on flashing but I may be wrong?
Your phone is definitely a "i9195" and not a "i9195L"? Was your phone locked to a network?

so i successfully rooted it using the cfautoroot. I installed TWRP. was all good, tried to install a rom from this site that said it was debloated. It said it would take a while to reboot and not to mess with it so i left it on the charger and went to bed. woke up 9 hours later and it still was on the same samsung screen, it doesnt boot loop it just hangs. I downloaded the stock md5 tarball from SamMobile unzipped it and loaded it into odin (drivers are already installed and recognized by odin.) Went to flash it the same way i did CFAutoroot and it keeps failing.

Hi guys,
I have a N7100 with TWRP 3.0.2-0 and Resurection Remix installed. My phone got stuck on GN2 logo when I woke up one day last week, hopefully anyone could help. Here are the symptoms:
normal boot will stuck on GN2 logo, it will not reboot, just stuck there. (I presume it's not bootloop in this case?)
get into recovery, TWRP 3.0.2-0 splash screen shows for 2-4 seconds, phone reboot (screen went dark), GN2 logo shows and stay.
able to get into download mode.
Here's the interesting part:
tried to flash other recovery with ODIN 3.09 and 3.11.1, the same TWRP 3.0.2-0 splash screen shows when access into recovery mode, phone reboot and stuck on GN2 logo. Have tried flashed stock recovery, philz 6.15.4, CWM 6.0.4.3, all still showing TWRP 3.0.2-0 splash screen. There were no errors, ODIN give a green PASS.

I failed to find any thread with the same symptoms as mine, most of them still could get into recovery or flash recovery. Appreciate if anyone could point me to any solutions that could revive my N7100. Thanks!
After flashing the full rom, did you do a factory reset before booting the stock rom for the first time?
Is there other way to do that other than going into recovery mode? as I can't get into recovery.
So I followed this guide [GUIDE] Fix an unflashable or soft bricked N7100! , and got the recovery package/ROM file (N7100XXUFNI4_OLBFNI1_v4.4.2_Repair_Firmware.rar) from else where (the original d/l link is dead). The .RAR file contains these 5 files:
