Well you flashed your firmware. What else do you need? What are you even trying to do?
I guess a custom recovery and a brand new JB Rom

but i prefer to install the stock rom (vodafone UK) . i don't no what i did wrong
Did you flash the correct boot.img file ?

yes the boot from custom rom , afther erase cache , install rom , i switch on the phone same problem everithing ok but network signal and wifi doesn't work , after this ncx_317_v14-RENOVATE , boot.img and update zip ...
your main version number tells me you have an updated JB hboot ! did you do a FULL wipe in the recovery before installng the new rom ?
yes i did every time , i think all i need is a compatible karnel with mods , i try a lot but i didn't find.
can you help me with OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_Vodafone_UK_3.14.161.27-2.17.161.4_release_299172atv1b11ychs0d2fs.exe ??
What do you mean.....the kernel delivered with the rom is in 99% the right boot.img. except for some aosp roms.
Flash the delivered boot.img from the desired rom, perform a full wipe and install the rom ....must work !
Dont know what you tried ?
I bet your ruu has not been released
Btw you need to full wipe that means, cache, dalvik cache, data, system before you install the new rom......dalvik cache is forgotten a lot
Hey this thread is going in the wrong direction. Lol! This isnt even about my question..

Hey guys, i want to restore my original H3G stock rom and everytime i want to flash my OTA zip i get an error:
C:\android>fastboot flash zip firmware.zip

OKAY [ 45.734s]
writing 'zip'...

i flashed the original boot.img and recovery.img and the bootloader is relocked, what could be the problem?
edit: i want flash the same firmware version as the version on the phone: OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_H3G_UK_3.14.771.34-2.17.771.3
Daniel.
The ota is of no use. You need to restore your nandroid backup of the stock rom. Ota does not contain the rom, only update files !

You changed the name of the RUU to "ruu.zip", correct?
If so, check that you didn't add a second . to the zip (ruu..zip)

flashing with htc_fastboot worked, is there a difference between fastboot apps?

impossible to install a recovery

hello I'm french I own a HTC Desire 816
I have a problem with my touch screen that works very very badly (he responds poorly).
I do not know if it is a software problem or if I have to change my entire screen
I would like to install a new custom rom or re install the original ROM with the original recovery ..
the problem is that no recovery is working.
TWRP Recovery V2.7.0.1
I can not kick start recovery, when I run it makes me backlight black picture but no recovery
the same for the / ClockWorkMod 6.0.4.7
same with stock recovery
2.8.0.1 TWRP custom recovery this one started but impossible to swipe to unlock.
can you help me
I would guess that it's a 816N. look for it in here
