[Q] Sim stuck in Sim tray - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey,
I cut down my old sim to micro and it worked fine. I popped it out and there was no issue with it but now when I inserted my Rogers sim, It wont come out. I am not sure if I should go hard at it or just take it in store since its still under warranty. Not sure if they will this :s and also, i tried the toothpick thing and that doesnt seem to work. if anyone has any other suggestion, it will be great help!
Thanks

Try using a soft eraser. Don't press down too hard with the pencil, and push the sim card out. This worked for me. Good luck.

I have used a straight pin to push it forward.

No SIM????

Okay, so I got my Galaxy Nexus today... went to put my SIM card in, and it refuses to acknowledge it. I thought maybe it was due to a very old SIM card, so I went in to T-Mobile, explained my situation, and they replaced it with a new SIM card free of charge. Problem is... the Nexus still REFUSES to read it. It keeps saying 'No SIM/Emergency Calls Only'. Help please?
Is the phone new or used? And do you have warranty? It could be because of the phone
It's used. It came pre-rooted with AOKP on it... I was thinking this might be the problem? So, I'm in the middle DLing the GNexRootToolkit to return it to complete stock, and see if that helps. Any other thoughts?
are all the pins there? If any of the pins in the SIM slot are bent or broken, it won't read the SIM.
I also find it hilarious that people buy used phones without knowing for sure the SIM slot works (one reason to only buy locally for used devices). I personally will never buy a used phone that is also rooted/unlocked/ROM'd. I don't wanna get some hand-down phone that's been messed with. If they can't be bothered to return it to stock, I won't buy it.
Okay, that seemed to fix it. Thank you for the quick replies!
Can't believe you bought a phone without checking if it worked. Smh. Well, glad it worked out for you.

Galaxy Nexus not recognizing sim card...

Hey guies,
Just got my GNEX in the mail today, popped my sim card in, turned it on, and I get this BS "no sim card." After taking the sim card out and putting it back in I got it to work eventually. However, after updating to 4.0.4, it stopped working again.
I'm on SM.
What do?
Try a new sim card. If problem still persists, exchange phone.
butter and jelly please...
Popped a T-Mobile sim card in, and it started working. Doesn't recognize the Simple Mobile sim tho, but my other 3 phones do... I noticed the SP sim is a little smaller too, just a tiny but smaller. Maybe the contact aren't lining up.
any suggestions?
You must be mad getting your phone and having it not work. Mine officially shipped today. Try moving your simcard into different positions. You said sm Sim is smaller so maybe push it up more if that makes sense?

Call Simple Mobile and ask for a new sim. You should be able to keep your number

It doesn't matter. It's defective. I had a bad SIM for over a year (didn't know I could just replace it). It didn't work at all on my Android phone but worked on every other phone I tried just fine. I had to restart my phone into airplane mode and wait about 20-30 seconds before it would work. When I got my Nexus it didn't work at all so I finally replaced the SIM and it works just fine. So just replace it.
I tried another sim in my GNex and saw this issue temporarily. I also use simple mobile, like the cheap plan but hate the custservice.
Try this...take the battery out then the sim. Put the sim in then the battery and power on. I then toggled wifi a couple times and it detected the sim.
I have not seen the problem again but have only removed the sim once since then.

did you use a sim adapter?
I have not yet tried making my microsim into a nanosim and then using an adapter if thats what you meant.
Should i try this?

NO, but mine got broken using a sim adapter, so i thought this could also be your problem!
Warranty or if you bought used you screwed.
First you can do is factory reset or try another Sim from someone you know. If its simlocked even then you know it's not the reader as it is reading Sim.
please hit thanks if i helped in any way. send from my g3 d852 beast
Did you buy it new or second hand? If used then maybe it has been blocked.
Where are you?

Yeah I've had that problem. Not sure what I did to fix it as it went away by itself.

Theres a couple of troubleshooting options mentioned in that thread to even having to get a new sim, from simply going on sprint.com and going to chat and having them reactivate it. Read it, might help, Might not.

Lol... not at you, just.. the irony in it. But yeah, even in that thread, just like you, one of the 'solutions' was just that in time it simply goes away.
Hopefully thatll be the case here.
Have had the phone a few months now but the sim errors have been in the last few weeks. Sprint tells me its not a known error for the note 4 but the web says otherwise. They say just reboot the phone and your good to go.
When i had sim errors with my g2 it was the slot it sat in. I ended up with two g2s in 4 months time.

I had this happen too. I didn't root right away (I got the phone launch day in US) but soon after rooting it started. And it came back again after the NK2 update.
I used a strip of 1/4" kapton tape to hold my SIM card in place. But first, I powered down, removed battery, held the power button down a bit, grounded myself momentarily while holding the phone, removed the card, cleaned it with a micro fiber cloth and reinstalled it. The tape was applied following all the angles of the slot and battery slot. Since that day, no more SIM card errors.
I wouldn't recommend trying to modify the slot or add thickness to card. Those slots are sensitive. The tape simply holds the card in place.
If the SIM error ever comes back, I'll go into chat and ask for a replacement.

The phone can't recognize my sim card

Hey,
I got the phone yesterday and after putting in my cut nanosim the phone didn't recognize it and showed "no sim card" message.
I tried to put an other nanosim and it didn't work. After that, I came to my mobile customer service and even they couldn't fix it.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
Same problem here
Bought my brother the phone last week, still not working!
Could really use some help, thanks in advance
was the sim pre-cutted or did you cut it yourself? because nano-sims are thinner than micros, and they don't always work if self-cutted
