For some reason the toolbox won't let me flash the system.img, boot.img or recovery.img, and i flashed stock 4.2.1 via toolbox but now i get stuck on the google bootscreen, the toolbox showed me this during the install process:

You didn't flash an image. That's why people who don't know what they're doing shouldn't use toolkits. Follow the stickies at the top of this section.

1) he told you what to do
2) since you just told him to piss off for giving you an answer, but good luck getting more help.
3) do you know what the toolkit did? I can guess what it did but have no idea what it failed.
4) flash things manually and you now where the failure point is

The failure point was, as I said, the lack of an image to flash. He basically wiped everything and flashed nothing but a radio. No image = no boot.

because you used a toolkit, which does all the work for you..
Like he said, it is much more complicated to know what happened (yes!! We don't know too!!). Was it the toolkit? Was it because you're on windows or scripts often don't supply enough info on what went wrong, if any at all? Do you even know where does system.img comes from?
Start fresh by reading how Google tells you to flash a factory image. Then read the stickies, and not the toolkit one.

OP's right. I OBVIOUSLY don't belong on XDA. I mean it took me a whole second to figure out the root of the problem. No pun intended.

I followed directions on rooting my HTC Evo and now it is for sure rooted. I know because i successfully uploaded the new ROM RM6 which is great! My only problem is i have no idea how to add my old apps, contacts, or anything else back on the phone. I did do a back up and saved it on my computer before i did anything, so i know all my information is at least somewhere safe. So i guess my question is how do i get apps, my contacts, and is it possible to put the android market back on my phone? Thanks so much i appreciate all the help i can get!

Your contacts should be synced with your Google account. Once you restore your account you should get them back.
Also, I agree that there is no need to be rude. You posted in the wrong place and what's done is done, so for those of you playing thread police, I suggest if you're not going to help, then don't comment at all.

So phone is rooted with CWM.. Got system update and went to install now and it rebooted,, It went into CWM and it sayd package failed, it will nto update.. any ideas? Help!!!
Thanks
Phone is Stock Rooted with CWM
You have to be on stock firmware(no root, busybox, or cwm/twrp) and have stock recovery, otherwise the install will fail.
Use the search button.
As a summary if you have a custom recovery, you can't install system updates.

Yes I get that, I found it odd that it still said there was an update avail, Other Phones never did that anymore once they were rooted....
SO if that is the case, Is there a way to stop it from updating so i do not get that message anymore?

Just accept the update and let it fail henever the notification comes up. Thats the only way to get rid of it, at least until it decides to pop up again.

have you tried flashing a recovery through fastboot? How come you don't have a baseband version either?
Have you tried to fastboot boot recovery.img ? Or fastboot boot boot.img ?
As said above you may want to just fastboot flash a recovery and a boot img. Tho I'm not sure if that is possible without being unlocked.
What steps led up to the 'bricking' of the device? Did you wipe something by accident that shouldn't have been wiped?

I will admit, I think it is neat that someone can come up with something like that, but what you are trying to get this guy to do is not the correct way and there are too many things that could go wrong when using a toolkit. Since everything is automated, if something were to go wrong you don't know what part of it did not work. When you do things manually with fastboot, you can see everything you did to determine if you are not doing something correctly. And if you recommend using a toolkit in these forums, you will be talked down on. Just a fact of life.

yeah well the fact that this guy has a bricked phone and has no clue how he has it, kinda points out that he should've used a toolkit which has proven to work pretty great for me in the first place . i'm giving this guy options to make his phone right again and i do it with my own knowledge which isn't much, that's why i use toolkit myself because it is tested and makes things safer for noobs like me .
and this guys comes and say i have no respect for people like me or i'm lazy is really funny.

OK. Where is your empirical proof that a toolkit would have worked for him?
This guy? Lol.
You freely admit to not having much knowledge on the subject but yet you come in recommending a noob tool in hopes that it would save his day. Get real. I have been around long enough to know that a toolkit is a effing plague on this community. I hate when noobs come into threads promoting a toolkit when they have no idea how it even works. Get the basics down and understand them. Help people learn. Don't aid in the noobery. This site doesn't exist to make your device cool. It's a place to learn.

Yes I have. I'm gonna flash the newest version of TWRP and hope that it fixes it. I had a similiar problem on my TF300 and that fixed it
updating my recovery worked. at least in the sense that I can mount system now. Gapps installed and it's letting me do a nandroid so. that's a step in the right direction

You shouldn't have installed an outdated recovery version to begin with. That is just asking for trouble.
Stay away from Toolkits, they cause more problems than they solve. Anything a toolkit can do, you should be able to easily do manually.

Did you unlock critical? One of the messages at the very beginning says unable to flash critical. Sounds like that's the reason that it's failing. If you haven't unlocked critical, and you're going to try it, be aware that it's going to wipe your data.
Secondly, did you try just flashing the bootloader from the January update by itself first?

There are multiple step-by-step guides here on how to do just this. Suggest you take a step back and read one or two. There are two separate unlock commands to use and from your photo you did not complete that. Secondly, it looks like you may be using an outdated version of the adb/fastboot binaries. Lastly you don't flash an OTA with flash-all. If you are attempting to sideload an OTA, you use the "adb sideload" command with the phone in Recovery, not flash-all in fastboot mode. At this point, you should probably update your adb/fastboot binaries, download the full factory image (not OTA) and flash it instead. Slow down and read more.
Damn Sir! Thank you very much for the help!

Not blaming anyone but instead just using your post for calling out there are what seems like dozens of variations for doing the same few tasks on this device. There are a couple really good tutorials that are either 100% or were until something like TWRP of magisk changed something. At the end of the day there are a few givens that will eventually shake out into something like the Heisenberg thread over on the 6P device.
For anyone reading this, unlock critical if you have not, install a custom kernel if you have touch issues in TWRP, really really really read up on the few custom roms that just hit as they add a few variables that most of us have never experienced, make a list of things you install as you do it. All too often people spend countless time and effort helping someone with a boot loop only to find out something not mentioned was in play. Poor steps were attempted from some other thread only to not help or made it worse or different. Examples of this would be xposed, custom kernel, any zip file mods you flashed, viper, Dolby, substratum, you get the idea. We all wanna help and we all need help at some point. Let us try to make the game as easy to play as possible. Flash on brothers and sisters!!
