I have discovered an error on S Voice. If I say the command "Turn on wifi" or "wifi on"
S voice says "Sorry I cannot turn on wifi", but the phone turns on wifi regardlessly. So this must be an error on in S-voice?
Looks like it. I just tried it and can confirm your findings.
Turning off is fine, but turning on gives me the error but wifi turns on anyway

Yes, my GT-N7105 does this as well.
Can the cause be that S voice cannot handle the wait time when a connection is encrypted with wpa?

Am I the only one who needs to have wifi connected before a phone call in order to use the wifi while talking? Is this the norm?
I turn wifi on all the time during phone calls.
So while you are in a conversation and wifi is turned off. You can turn it on and it starts? For some reason it won't for me.

I was able to pick up 4g while driving, but for some reason it wouldnt connect and sprint hotspot would automatically check mark itself and then eventually an error message would come up saying my username and number or something is not working..

Currently connected via 4G (in Chicago)
Just installed G-Lite 1.0.7. Loving the ROM so far, but just had a couple of things not working. No Swype at first, but I was able to restore that using Titanium and turning off the default android keyboard. Wifi calling is still broken.
I get a couple of error messages with it - "W005.1 ISP Error Retry" and then I get "You are currently not registered with the T-Mobile network. Would you like to register to enable Wi-Fi Calling?"
It gives me a register button to click on and when I click it the app closes and takes me back to the desktop. Noticed that in the settings for wifi calling there is nothing listed under "My Network" for "UNC Address" or "SGW Address". And if I try "Ping Network" the address it wants to ping just says "NULL".
Looks like the wifi calling app doesn't have any of its settings. Tried restoring the app with Titanium but the settings are still not there. Any ideas how to fix? Thanks!

According to the T-Mobile twitter, Wi-Fi calling was down for maintenance today.

Yeah so I just came back to my post to say that it randomly started working again. Hoping it was on TMO's end. Figures they would do it right when I switch roms...

Hey man I was having the same problem today - however, after a reboot (not intended to fix the problem), it was working fine! I may have just timed it perfectly or something. I have been having issues like this maybe twice in the last few weeks or so, counting this time. Reboot fixed it last time, so I figured that was it then.
Hearing about T-Mo's issue makes me wonder if I just happened to get it working coincidentally. Or, maybe it was a weird issue on there end that I could fix simply by rebooting my phone before they fixed it without me having to do that.
If that makes any sense at all. Haha.
Has anyone experienced issues with Wi-Fi auto connecting to known hotspots but getting an "internet not available" error from android. So far this has only been happening with the stock Rom and the android revolution hd Rom.
To be more specific: if I'm on a network - any network - and walk away from it, when I come back and it auto-connects it comes up with an error in the notifications saying "internet not available".
Any advice?

I've gotten that issue on occasion but not often enough to bother me. If switching wifi off and then back on doesn't solve the problem, a hot boot will.
mudge
My problem is that it happens more and more often as time goes on.

Try toggling the setting by going to Settings > Wi Fi > Advanced and Uncheck "Check for Internet service" option.
If I'm home, chillan out, connected to my home WiFi, sometimes my wifi will just randomly turn itself off.. And then when I'm out (let's say I'm driving around) my WiFi will just randomly turn itself on. I don't get why the hell it does bc it never used to! I have connections optimizer deleted (using Titanium Backup) and I have "always allow scanning" OFF and "keep WiFi on during sleep" ON. What gives....?!
Lol you might have to flash to stock rom to fix this

I'm on the stock OE2 ROM... just rooted.
in my opinion the S6's software optimization is really really bad having a lot of bugs and glitches. I won't be surprised if there are weird phenomena happening in the phone if rooted
Disable the ironically named "Connections Optimizer" to prevent random dcs from wifi.
I am also experiencing these issues. It usually happens when the screen is off, and I can tell because when I turn the screen on it says at the bottom "Connected to WiFi Network <name>." I am finding this quite frustrating. I found a thread saying that you need to switch the wireless security on the router from "WPA2/WPA Mixed" to "WPA2 Personal" but it did not help my situation after doing this. I am still searching for a solution.

Hello, thanks for your input! How exactly do I set a static IP for my phone? I actually don't think my phone's IP is changing, but it's worth a shot. Thanks!
Mine will turn on Wifi on it's own. When im out and about as well. Connections optimizer is off. Always scanning is off. It's annoying because ill be using my hotspot and then itll turn wifi on by itself and turn off hotspot.

EXACTLY what happens to me bro. It's very freakn annoying.
Same issue here
I have enabled the hotspot hack using GTools and when I wake up screen to log in I get the message warning me that if I enable Wifi the hotspot will be turned off. I have already frozen connections optimizer so I know it's not that. Something keeps trying to turn on Wifi while I have the hotspot enabled. Have tried looking for the app or process but can't seem to get rid of it.
Me Too
Just chiming in to say that I've been having that same problem too, ever since I got the phone (which I rooted and used GTools the day I got it...LOL). Hope someone figures this out. I've tried everything I can think of and that I've read online.

I got the same message last night using my hotspot. I guess the common denominator here is we've all used GTools?

I have the same exact issue of the message warning me turning on wifi will disable hot spot but I did not use GTools to enable hot spot. I used that other method using my MDL, I believe.
are you using the DUN hotspot method?
Mine does the same thing and has been ever since i got it. I don't know if using DUN APN type is the cause or not but i suspect it is.
