Unable to install from Play store - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought my GT-7100 today and I was trying to install my old apps from the play store. I was able to browse the play store but when I tried to install it said there was a connection problem. I tried on my home wifi and my data plan. The only thing that I see that is a little weird to me is in Settings > About at the very bottom after Build Number I have another section that says United Arab Emirates with a TRA ID and A TA number.
I didnt think anything about it at first because I'm in Kuwait but none of my other devices have anything like that.
Any ideas?

Clear cache?
Try clearing cache & data of Play Store app
Goto:
Settings - Application Manager
Choose ALL and select Google Play Store
Clear cache and clear data.
Exit and reboot. Should work like a charm.

Market not working and phone is rooted

Hi,
Originally, I rooted my phone to gain access to the Android market. The market opened and says loading then it would return back to the menu.
so, I downloaded market access and marker enabler and both of them do not open the market.
Just as a note, the country im in is a "forbidden country"--so Google says. I can't even open code.Google.com.
Is there some sort of modified version of the Android market app that I could use to access the market?
Clear market cache, reboot into cwm recovery and clear the dalvik cache. Reboot, market enabler, save settings, settings list, long press on a provider, fake provider now. Then Try market again. When finished with market, restore settings from market enabler. Good luck.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
because my net is too slow right now, since im using the carriers internet, i cant download the flash cwm image thingy.
so to delete the cache, i went to the terminal
su
cd data/dalvik-cache
rm *
rebooted and followed instructions, but still, its not working
You cleared the Market cache as well?
Settings, applications, manage app, all, market, force stop, clear cache.
Clear dalvik again and reboot.
Try market enabler same as before.
Note: If you fake your carrier, I don't think you can use the phone data connection, because market enabler changes the APN ? Maybe you will need to use WiFi until you restore the settings. I think also that if you restart the phone, settings will be restored back to your own carrier.

yea, i did all that, ... , and im guessing the same thing, ... , but i dont have any wifi connections at this time. if i find one, and it works, i'll post it here, hopefully

[Q] market issues

My market is not showing my apps its go to a white screen and said (your apps that you downloaded will be here)
I've deleted the market updates ,I also logged out of my Gmail account to see if that would fix but no it doesn't
Anyone know what I should do?
Two things
1st - Clear the data and cache from the market app in settings.
2nd - If that doesn't work, search for the market .apk file on here, drop it on your phones, untick "unknown sources" option and reinstall it.
Good luck
I tried that and still nothing this is BS

Google Play - Cannot install Apps "Error processing purchase"

When I click, Accept & Download when trying to install an app from the phone, I get, "Error processing purchase". This happens on free apps & paid, I tested.
Also, if I'm on the web version of Play Store, and select install, nothing happens.
Any suggestions?
Have you tried clearing app cache and data?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
No, I read some stuff about that, but not sure how to go about doing this?
Settings - apps - Google play - make sure everything is clear.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Found the settings, but still having issue.
There are a few different things you can try:
1. Clear cache/data on just Downloads + Download Manager.
2. Clear cache/data on just Google Play Store.
3. Clear cache/data on Play Store + Downloads + Download Manager.
4. Uninstall Play Store updates.
5. Wait a few days (sometimes if it's on the server side things just need to timeout and then they'll work again).
If those fail there is one other I stumbled upon when I was getting Error -101 trying to download/update apps (I also had incorrect Installed Apps numbers showing) after the IMM76I update:
6. Remove your Google account from Accounts & Sync. Readded and everything should show up and work again!
That even fixed a FC I was getting from gapps related to Browser Sync. Worth a shot! Good luck!
If I select Uninstall Updates, it seems to uninstall Google Play. Is there a download to get it back?
Nevermind, I see what the deal is,
uninstalling the market actualizations and leting it update again solved the proble for me

[Q] cannot use Google Play

Hi,
I have xperia Arc and ICS 4.0.3 stock ROM.
I can't log into Market/Play. It says "Authentication required. Please sign into your google account". I'm already signed in.
I can use Talk, Gmail, Map with Latitude, and other app fine but not the Market.
Is there anything I should do to gain access to the market?
Google account is already sync'd too. I can even see my phone in my google account but not under "my device" in Google Play.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.
Hi.
I think this can help you. Go to Settings - Applications. Search Google Play Store. Select. Press Clear Data. Go back. Start the App. Try and let me know if this work. I use this when an App is not working right.
Thank you for the reply.
I tried it but I still can't use the Market.
Got the same error.
I'm sorry. Can you access Google Play from a computer?
Yes, I can access to google from my computer fine but my phone is not showing under "my device" tab in google play.
In order to have my device appear there, I need to access Google Play on my device first which I can't. I don't know what to do...
Well, I think you must made a backup of your contacs, SMS and App's try performing a factory reset: Settings -- Backup & reset -- Factory data reset. The phone will restart as a brand new one, so you can configure all again.
Be aware that this procedure will erase all data on phone. Apps, app data and personal data. So, the backup is very important.
Factory reset doesn't seem to solve the problem either. I tried it before but it didn't work. :/
That's weird... Try adding another GMail account to the app, is the only thing that I can figure out. Hope it helps you!
Hello there, I've experienced the same when my device's date/time are not well configured. Try checking if your date and time are configured. If you date it's something like "May 5, 1920" believe me Market/Play wont work.
If google play have a update, remove the update, go to Google play again, then google play installs the update again. With update I mean a update from Google play self. You must go to the list of installed apps, there you will see if there is a update installed.
Thank you guys for the replies.
Methods tested:
1. Adding new accounts : Didn't work.
2. Uninstalled Google play update : Didn't work.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
3. Date time checked: Correct date/time but didn't work.
4. Tried to clear Market cache : Didn't work.
Any suggestion?
Well, I run out of suggestion...
Try "Settings" - "Applications". Search "Google Play Store". Choose "Uninstall Updates", "Clear Data" and "Clear Memory Cache" (sorry if the names are different, I use spanish in my phone). After that, try to login with the old version of Google Play Store.
tried that already. Still can't use it.
Anyways, thanks mate.
Well, lets keep trying. What about flashing your phone with GB? The app in this firmware is Google Market, the very old one. Flash and open the app without performing any update.
Maybe it's a failure from something else. Google play use GOOGLE PARTNER SETUP and GMAIL to login to Google play store. Maybe it help to clear the data from that, otherwise I think that a clean flash of the FW is the best.
You are connected from a country that is blocked from Google like Iran or Syria;
You have to use a something like VPN connection; But it won't work if you connected to google play without it at the first time.
You have to delete the program and it's data (or reset your phone) then try connecting to google play after connecting to a proxy connection like VPN.

Not, he's not in a blocked country. If you read all the posts, you will find that he can access Google Play from the web, but being his phone not recognized, can't install any app.
I don't know what else to do to help him...

PlayStore Issues

Hey. Whenever i want to download an App via the Poogle Playstore the download stops at 100%. The App however won't install. I tried several tips regarding this problem like wipe the cache, installing th official playstore APK and even wiping the Setup Assistant's data. Weirdly, the playstore shows no notifications when downloading like it did on my old OnePlus One (Permissions are granted).
Anyone got a solution?
Go to settings, apps, 3 dots, show system apps, android set up app and clear data. Also clear data for play store and relaunch and see the behaviour. However, it may not show the download progress from play store but it will display if updates are available or not, apps installed, apps updated etc.

That however doesnt stop my main issue. Apps stop dowwnloading at 100% and then they wait for up too 10 hours before install.

Does this happen when you are on mobile data or Wi-Fi connection?
Go to Settings > Apps > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage then select Clear Data and Clear Cache. Start the Play Store up again and it should fix your issue.
